Faith here is the capacity to believe in God for extraordinary deeds

Word of wisdom
Word of knowledge

Faith Gifts of
healings Miracles Prophecy Distinguishing between spirits Tongues Interpretation of tongues

These are gifts for building up the church. They have nothing to do adding to faith in Jesus to secure salvation.

1 Corinthians 13:1-3

The Greatest Gift
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.

It seems to me that Paul is more concerned with loving people than having the gifts mentioned above.
No billy if you where nothing God wouldnt do this for you...

I have asked that question a few times but it doesn't seem to be answered?

I wonder why?
to me it would be any work which was not done out of love.. Which did not follow the two great commandments. Which was done because of serving self, Not out of seeking the things of the spirit.

And they could be the exact same deeds, where one gets us a reward of God. the other becomes ash.

I know we will never agree, because you cannot receive truth, even as you ignored the scriptures I presented. I backed everything up with the word of God, and you did not refute any of them, because you couldn't. And you couldn't because it made sense. And as you can't receive truth, neither can you see that I am not working to save myself, seeing that I have already told you that I AM ALREADY SAVED, and shall be, SO LONG AS I KEEP THAT WHICH I HEARD FROM THE BEGINNING, because we are saved by the word of God, and if we reject the truth of the gospel after we received it, then we no longer have the blood of Jesus in us, and without the blood of Jesus, we have no life in us.

1Jn 2:24 Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

To reject truth of the word of God, is to reject the flesh and blood of Jesus for the word of God IS the Holy Ghost, which also IS the blood of Jesus. But you won't be able to receive that, because it is truth and you cannot receive truth.

Joh 8:47 He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.
amen bro..

The gift of faith may be defined as the special gift whereby the Spirit provides Christians with extraordinary confidence in God’s promises, power, and presence so they can take heroic stands for the future of God’s work in the church. The spiritual gift of faith is exhibited by one with a strong and unshakeable confidence in God, His Word, and His promises.

God gives all Christians saving faith. The spiritual gift of faith is given to some, who exhibit extraordinary amounts of faith in their Christian walk and who, by their faith, are a joy and an encouragement to others.

I am not saying he doesn't, what I am saying is that GIFTS DO NOT SAVE.

The passage you quoted expresses gifts given to beleivers to build up the church and advance it, and to anyone God gives a measure.

GIFTS DO NOT SAVE.

END OF YOUR STORY

By your logic then what your saying is that faith does not save because faith is a Gift...

[SUP]21 [/SUP]The eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” And the head cannot say to the feet, “I don’t need you!” [SUP]22 [/SUP]On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable,

So there for we can not say that one Gift is better than the other

Nope I am not saying that, why can you not see that.

FAITH in Jesus saves and if that faith is a gift it's that gift (no plural) that saves.

You said GIFTS save, so you are adding another gift the gift of saving faith.

So if I read what I think you are saying it is this,

Faith + tongues saves
Faith + prophecy saves

and so on.

now concerning the Gifts of faith..

It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than a rich man to enter the kingdom of Heaven...

Now why is it so many rich man give to the needy ?

But you are not really saved, you are only potentially saved depending on YOU.?

That which you heard from the beginning was Jesus Christ the source of eternal life (1 John 1.1-4). He will always dwell in you once you truly receive Him. He GIVES you eternal life. The 'if' is not conditional but is the equivalent of 'since'.

When My God saves He saves to the uttermost. There is no doubt about His ability to save completely. That is why He said, 'they will NEVER NEVER perish' (John 10.28)

The second has no relevance to the first (or the third}. You don't even know the difference between the gift of faith (extra faith given to some to do exploits ( e.g. George Mueller) and saving faith,

The reason I asked for relevance was because I could not see what this has to do with gifts.

Also you say "Why is it so many rich man give to the needy" yet that goes against it is easier for a camel.

1. All you have is your idea, and your interpretation. Your passages or verses have been shown to be out of context by you by numerous people over numerous months.
2. Everythign things else I said to you stands
3. The mere fact you refused to acknowledge what I said, refuse to show me where I was wrong, just goes to show your true heart.

We will never agree, because I refuse to accept your INTERPRETATION of truth.

Again, Good luck saving yourself. Many will say in that day, Lord Lord did I not do all these great words..

I pray that will not be you.
Good luck with that one....the cake takers and workers for......they have to get over trusting themselves first before they can trust Jesus....
