I see what you are saying and I like what you have said.

I would just like to ask you one question though.

You say you have finally seen healing and know how to love.
You then say you carry inflicted hurts and carry their sin.

Do you not feel that God can heal your inflicted hurts against you?
Why carry their sin and not give it up to God?

Can we truly love people as Jesus does if we carry hurts they have inflicted on us. If we have hurts do we not put barriers up.
We can't carry another persons sin, only Jesus can do and did that.

Just thought I'd ask
I agree it sounds a contradiction.
Ok. Let me think this through a bit.

Without God the hurts caused me to build barriers, to defend myself, to shut down love
and look after only myself. So I open up to God and he heals me and fills me so I do not
need to defend myself and be scared because I am healed.

But I am also in a new place. I can now take hurts, and no longer close up, but Jesus
takes them, though I am hurt, I am also healed by His love. So in this new place I can
turn the other cheek because it has become something different.

So maybe Jesus is taking it, I do not know but it is different. If Paul is right, we are
privileged to share in His sufferings, amen.

Nice try but no cigar....that does not equate prayer to a javelin.....again context alludes you migo.....he is seeking GOD to be as a shield and javelin so as to contend and fight with those who contend and fight against him.....geesh Jim...come on man....quit yanking a statement or word out of context so as to make a point that is not made.....

If you're going to quote me, get it right please. :) And no, it does not always have to be "amen God". And FTR, I never blurt stuff out. I say it flat out and straight forward.

It depends on what meaning of javelin... now if i say the prayer is a javelin like true and straight to the point.... then i guess it could be,,, well for me anyways...

Now if i say a prayer is a javelin like a piece of metal then you could call me nuts i guess... that my logic anyways maybe your not use to accepting everybody is eunique

I agree, dcon.. It is rather frustrating to get misquoted. It just shows the ignorance some have, to not use the reply with quote button.. Or maybe it's because they think we can't go back and find our posts, and make THEM look bad..

If you are going to quote me and make some snide, flippant remark to make me or Blue look bad I suggest you reference the whole quote.....I for one am tired of being misquoted and or not fully quoted and or my quote being embellished by you and your pals...it is not only deceptive, but also wrong and contrary to the truth. How are these types of works proving that you are right with God?

My part of the quote you actually quoted...

JESUS SAID...."THERE are NONE GOOD save GOD".....HE ALSO SAID, "IF you being EVIL can give good gifts unto your children, HOW MUCH MORE YOUR FATHER WHICH IS IN HEAVEN"<----identifies them as the children of GOD as in SAVED

JESUS must be stupid and ignorant of this sinless, perfectionism lie that permeates many today...

HE SAID his disciples were NOT GOD and EVIL........it is the SPIRIT that is BORN AGAIN of INCORRUPTABE SEED and it is BOUND in a FALLEN, SINFUL body of FLESH.........

PAUL said the EVIL that he does is SIN which dwells in him.....wake up people........it is only the spirit of GOD that is born of incorruptible seed that does not SIN because it is BORN of the HOLY SPIRIT!

LOOK...you made a statement....I called you on it and asked for a verse...you gave a verse out of context and when I called on it you came back with some cockamamie response to cover up your first two mistakes....JIM....can you not just admit the truth and say...you know what, I made a mistake and took something out of context and I was wrong to do so....????

God knows we can't be holy..or righteous or sinless. All He asks of us is that we TRY our best to be/ do all those things. :) And yes, God actually does have a sense of humor.
:)

So whay your saying is God asking us to be holy is God having a laugh with us coz he knows we cant ???????

None of us are holy. None of us are blameless, and none of us are righteous..
blue - I think if you want to layer labels and then say I said this and not that, it is not clear.

No one is born holy, righteous, blameless.
Christ can make us holy, blameless and righteous.

When we walk with Jesus we are holy, blameless and righteous.

Now we can be defiled by sin, by what comes out of our hearts.
But we are purified and can work towards purifying ourselves through what we
dwell on and encourage in our lives.

Now this appears to be what Paul is saying. Do you agree or disagree with this?

Now I meaning firstly, in a biblical sense, is this what Paul is saying and then
secondly on an experiential sense. I think we all know it is hard to believe we
are holy, blameless and righteous, but if God has washed us clean who are we to
deny this.

And what about you can you admit to defiling Gods Holy song... or are you just going to keep bringing me down for rebuking you.. ?

A. I called you on failing to use context and verbiage to make a valid point
B. God did not inspire Amazing Grace.....
C. I did not defile and Holy Song of GOD....they are found in the PSALMS....AMAZING GRACE is not a PSALM

You know....the biggest problem found in man is his inability to simply admit error....

ADAM....no not my fault was EVE's.....EVE....NO not my FAULT I was tricked by the serpent......

Just admit it and be biblical Jim.....end of story bro
