As you are aware:
The measure you use to judge others will be used to judge youMatt7:2
Therefore, on judgement day, if you have committed any sin, since you have been telling others you cannot have the seal/Holy Spirit if you commit any sin, you must stand condemned mustnt you.
Absolutely true.
I thank God for making the way to live without sin.

Of course, it is your absolute right to wish to be judged on that basis if you want to be, I wouldn't myself
It is written..."But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man." (1 Cor 2:15)
Perhaps you should take advantage of God's gift of repentance from sin?

Though I agree with that statement, (based on Heb 10:39), I can't remember Jesus ever saying such a thing.
Have you a scripture in mind?
Hebrews 10:39 wasn't enough for you?

John 16:7-9
7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. 8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 of sin, because they do not believe in Me;
John 16:9
9 The world’s sin is that it refuses to believe in me.
Lack of belief isn't a sin.
The sin is all the other things they have done against God and their neighbors.

Ps it’s mans fault if they sin
Agreed.

Self righteousness (which stems from pride, is sin) and is disobedience. 1 John 1:8 - If we say that we have no sin, (present tense) we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. Thus, the man who claims sinless perfection in the flesh is a hypocrite.
1 John 1:8. Profession of sinlessness-self deception-not of truth-equals living a lie.
1 John 1:9. No confession of sin-Divine cleansing is denied-no removal of condemnation.
1 John 1:10. Denying we have sinned, means we are calling God a LIAR, and His truth does not reside in us.
May the Lord convict your heart of this delusional false doctrine of sinless perfection of the flesh and guide you to the truth.
You think you understand those verses pretty well, so how do you interpret verse 6?
" If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:"
Do you say that you have fellowship with God, in spite of sinning against Him?

You used the word Try.
We try.
Only Jesus kept all the commands. I'm reading here that some are saying we don't have to but we'll still be saved. I may be wrong about this but it's what it sounds like.
Those in Christ have the same power as Jesus to resist temptation.
We can all "keep all the commands"...if we are in Christ

So we don't have to obey each and every literal command of Christ in order to show we love him?

I have been to various churches for over forty years and met not one person who has even tried to obey each and every literal command of Christ
I guess they were not Christian "churches".
Just posers, and there are plenty of them.

Well of course we have to try. We can't go around just breaking commandments, can we?
This doesn't mean that we won't. We're only human and very fragile beings. Because we don't doesn't mean that we lose salvation. But maybe if we sin enough it makes us become unfriendly toward God and then we become His enemy. Like before we were saved?
It seems you haven't heard of "rebirth".
Kill the old man, and be raised with Christ to walk in newness of life. (Rom 6:3-6)
A life gendered of God's seed. (1 John 3:9)
No sinner will be awarded salvation.

Do you even know the bible.......it seems the answer is no.......David who was inspired and described as a man after God's own heart stated the following....you should take time off and sit down and learn the truth and then come post.
Would that be the "truth" that Jesus said could free me from committing sin; in John 8:32-34?

Against You, You only, I have sinned And done what is evil in Your sight, So that You are justified when You speak And blameless when You judge Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me
To use this scripture to legitimize a catholic false doctrine is a grave error.

You can say your sinless all you want and all it does is prove that you don't know what your talking about...and we have already proven in this very thread that you have sinned openly numerous times...how can one be that delusional.....deceived is the word....exactly as John states....deceived and no truth......the epitome of verse 8 <--PJW
If I were like you, you would consider me "saved".
But because I fight for righteousness, you accuse me of deception.
Pathetic reasoning you got going on there.

what some, like this guy, seem to be unable to comprehend is this- the stating or implying that one does not sin is a lie, which is a sin. so, every time they say it, the are sinning as they say it.
So verse 7 and 9, of 1 John 1, are lies.
Got it.
We can't have ALL our sins washed away, and we can't have ALL our unrighteousness cleansed.
John is describing two different kinds of walk.
In the light, or in the darkness
Light is God, and darkness is sin.

Who can argue with the wisest man ever born, King Solomon, the author of Proverbs.

"Who can say, "I have kept my heart pure; I am clean and without sin"?" Proverbs20:9

Lack of belief isn't a sin.
He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
(John 3:18)

For God has consigned all to disobedience, that he may have mercy on all.

(Romans 11:32 ESV)

For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.
(Romans 11:32 KJV)

543 apeítheia
(from 1 /A "not" and 3982 /peíthō, "persuaded")
– properly, someone not persuaded, referring to their willful unbelief, i.e. the refusal to be convinced by God's voice.

Original Word: ἀπείθεια, ας, ἡ
Part of Speech: Noun, Feminine
Transliteration: apeitheia
Phonetic Spelling: (ap-i'-thi-ah)
Short Definition: willful unbelief, obstinacy, disobedience
Definition: willful unbelief, obstinacy, disobedience.

Take care, brothers,
lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart,
leading you to fall away from the living God.
(Hebrews 3:12)

It is written..."For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? (1 Peter 4:17)
And..."For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad." (2 Cor 5:10)
A
nd..."For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God." (Rom 14:11-12)
There is a judgement coming for every man.
Nice twist of context concerning my post....more deception from one who is deceived with no truth.....the context is salvation and it is spoken of in all three tenses with a present continuing result.....see...keep proving to all how deceptive you really are......
In the grace you are, having been SAVED through faith and that NOT of yourselves, it is the gift of GOD, not of works lest any man should boast.
HAVING BEEN SAVED <--past tense........wake up to the truth and the fact that you still sin!
If the verses I quoted disagree with you, perhaps you are the problem.
Jesus said..."And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved." (Matt 10:22)
I'll believe Jesus, before your interpretation.

Absolutely and I agree......he has been nailed numerous times by more than a few in this thread alone and called out on it......but refuses to simply acknowledge the truth...........
Was Peter "nailed"?
He wrote..."Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;" (1 Peter 4:1)
Was John "nailed" for writing..."
We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not." (1 John 5:18)
Was Paul "nailed" for writing..."
Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame." (1 Cor 15:34)
How do you feel about all those self-righteous apostles?
Are they deceived too?

Jesus conquered sin while in the flesh.
You can partake of that victory by killing your old self and being reborn of Godly seed that cannot bring forth evil fruit.

Or, you can keep on defending sin?

MAN....you really take the cake.....HE quotes a verse which proves you wrong and you forgive his misunderstanding.....you know the rich man burning in hell refused to believe God's word and Abraham's testimony and argued against it........the point is obvious......!

He's already shown himself to have fulfilled 1 John 1:10.
I forgive your misunderstanding too.
Who is it that would love for you to remain in sin, the most?
The devil!

perhaps you are the problem.
Jesus said..."And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved." (Matt 10:22)
For by grace you have been saved through faith.
And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God

Peter and his denial of the Lord three times proves you do not know what your talking about.......and note...this was after JESUS had told PETER that flesh and blood had not taught him the truth about who JESUS was...and the impossible part is pointed at..it is impossible to lose salvation and then need to be renewed......BECAUSE it puts JESUS to open shame!
Peter hadn't yet received the Holy Ghost.
The devils believe the same thing Peter did, and trembled.
You make it seem like you believe it too, so if you believe that Jesus is the Son of God, why are you defending sin?
Hasn't He done enough for you yet?
He was tortured and crucified and killed for your sins, but you continue to disobey a Savior that has provided everything we need to resist the devil.
I can't fathom that type of mind...

Yeah...Fran said the same thing even though it was not true.....
Men will do the deeds of their fathers.
Some men are reborn of God.
it is written..."He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother." (1 John 3:8-10)

I would say no.

There is only one reason to be lost and that’s a total rejection of Jesus.

Anyone with genuine faith will want to grow in Jesus and be like him and do,what he has asked us to do and be.

Bill
Yes, and don't be discouraged by those who state that it is impossible.
