NoNameMcGee is challenging your assumption as he perceives it that someone has to physically confess in order to be saved.

If that is the case then I stand with him.
If a person who is not a believer had throat cancer and as a result has their voice box removed, but then becomes a believer they cannot confess physically with their mouth because no words will come out of their mouth.
Do you really think that if someone has throat cancer and cannot speak from the mouth that God is going to not save them if they confess silently to him? For heavens sake no.

NOW WHERE ON GOD'S GREEN EARTH DID YOU GET THAT GOD-Whispered theology FROM, the MORMONS?

2 Timothy 3:16 (NKJV)
16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

NOT THERE.

2 Peter 1:20-21 (NKJV)
20 knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation,
21 for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God
spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

Now there it said they spoke, and then apparently WROTE IT DOWN.
Thank you VCO, I asked benhur the same question and received just about the same answer. I quoted him proverbs1:20, "Out in the open wisdom calls aloud, she raises her voice in the public square." I would say benhur is either Mormon even possibly Catholic since he is so dead set against eternal security which would accommodate "purgitory."

"benhur what Church denomination are you affiliated with?

Exactly the point I’m making.

Real sheep who become lost, are as a sinner in need of repentance or they will be lost for eternity; spiritual death.

Lost means without God; dead to God.

Found means reconciled to God.

That’s the end of OSAS.

Who know's where your THEOLOGY comes from. My guess it is either from a false prophet, or a twisted interpretation of Scripture; but in my opinion, it is NOT WHAT MY BIBLE SAYS.

Is that not the point though of the parable?
The 99 who do not need to repent?

Luke 15:1-3
The Parable of the Lost Sheep
1 Now the tax collectors and sinners were all drawing near to hear him. 2 And the Pharisees and the scribes grumbled, saying, “This man receives sinners and eats with them.”
3 So he told them this parable:

Is it possible that this parable related to the Pharisees & the Scribes?
After all they saw no need to repent and believe in Jesus for salvation.

Afterall the healthy do not need a doctor.

So this parable was given given after the response of those who grumbled.

That's the joy, because one who knows they need to repent do so.
The 99 did not need to repent, AKA the religious establishment.

Religious establishment?

Jesus called the “just”.

I am not mad, that you keep calling OSAS is a lie from.

I am sad for you.

What are you going to do, when you find out that it is the absolute TRUTH?

Philippians 1:6 (ESV)
6 And I am sure of this, that He who began a good work in you
will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

John 10:25-28 (HCSB)
25 “I did tell you and you don’t believe,” Jesus answered them.
“The works that I do in My Father’s name testify about Me.
26 But you don’t believe because you are not My sheep.
27 My sheep hear My voice, I know them, and they follow Me.
28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish—ever!
No one will snatch them out of My hand.

2 John 1:2 (HCSB)
2 because of the truth that remains in us and will be with us forever.

What does lost in this passage mean?

if OSAS is wrong

what about twice saved?

um, how many times do we have to be saved to guarantee always saved?

if "always saved is impossible" will people in heaven fall off from heaven?

does salvation even exist?
You will receive the salvation of your soul at the end of your faith.

As an end result of a life of faith.

In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, 7 that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, 8 whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, 9 receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.
1 Peter 1:6-9

receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.

When you hear these words from the Lord as you stand before His throne on that Day.

Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
Matthew 25:34

So please don’t not depart from the faith during this life, not matter what.

Those who take heed to doctrines of demons will depart from the faith, thinking they can never lose the precious gift from God.

Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,
1 Timothy 4:1

Now in this life we who believe, have salvation through faith, which means we have the hope of salvation not yet seen.

If you have faith for something, then you have the hope of receiving that something as an end result of believing.

Faith is the substance of the thing you are “hoping for”.

Faith is the evidence of that thing not yet “seen”.

Here is a glimpse of that Day.

35 But those who are counted worthy to attain that age, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage; 36 nor can they die anymore, for they are equal to the angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection. Luke 20:35-36

Jesus is our salvation and will give it to those who are faithful, when He returns.

27 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, 28 so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation. Hebrews 9:27-28

those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.

I hope Christianity is more than either "boring" or "self-sacrificing"

and I always hate the idea that we need to self-sacrifice

JPT

No, you must not have really read what I was talking about.

However, only who habitually calls OSAS a lie that comes from hell, could be classified a False Prophet.

Their are many forms of False Prophets, the Church where I worship, would name them, and include, all the way from people like Harold Camping, to Kenneth Copland, to Creflo Dollar, Mormons, Jehovah Witnesses, Christian Scientists, etc. Anyone teaching that a Counterfeit Gospel by adding anything to GRACE and MERCY, such as works, would be on that list. Also false doctrine, such as you do not have to Born Again to be SAVED, would automatically be on that list. AND even those teaching Easy Believism, which would probably be on that list of False Prophets.

Matthew 24:23-25 (HCSB)
23 “If anyone tells you then, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘Over here!’ do not believe it!
24 False messiahs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.
25 Take note: I have told you in advance.

Some people would say that we are VERY NARROW MINDED, but that is because we follow the most Narrow Minded Person that Ever Lived:

John 14:6 (CSBBible)
6 Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Matthew 7:13-14 (HCSB)
13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the road is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who go through it.
14 How narrow is the gate and difficult the road that leads to life, and few find it.

Yes few will actually find eternal life even though they have entered through the door and are on the road that leads to life, because people do go astray and become lost.

Do you understand that a sheep who becomes lost must repent and turn to God in order to be reconciled back to Him, or suffer eternal death.

19 Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, 20 let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins.
James 5:19-20

Romans 11:23 - if they do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again

does this mean, even if you walk away, you can still come back?

if salvation is work-based
then let's "fake it till you make it"
fake up fruits, etc.

Salvation is not works based.

Salvation can not be earned.

However you must obey the Gospel to be saved.

And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. Romans 13:11

I never said that, someone said you have to physically confess in order to be saved.

Physically confess? Even the most silent of prayers is heard. God hears them. :) So a silent confession of faith and belief in Jesus will definitely be heard..

And usually when a person loses their natural voice box, they receive an artificial one to help them speak. :)

You need only have faith and belief to be saved. And confess that Jesus is your Lord and Savior.. THAT is how one gets saved. :)
