I get very suspicious of people who cherry pick scripture..talk in circles or chase thier tails and wont answer questions directly or just dont admit they "dont know"...
There are alot of them on here Many I gave up on trying to even answer, and refuse to give them an audience. Which is where the ignore button works wonders. If i have to see their posts. I eventually respond and they drag me back in which is not good.

So your default is below when people disagree with you

So when people disagree with you the above is your default.
They have a different religion to you.
A different Christ.

Therefore by default a false religion and by inference not saved.
God says we are human, not immortal. That immortality is a gift we receive after the Christ comes back. The preaching that you are already immortal, or already saved, does not come from the Bible, at least In my understanding of Scriptures.

According to the Bible's Words we are "being" saved, we "shall" be saved "IF" we do something.

Rom. 11:22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

Matt. 24:
11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Luke 13:3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

There are "many" on this forum who say we are made immortal the day we do this or that. That they are "SAVED" and nothing we do can change that. I don't believe that teaching came from the Jesus of the Bible. I still don't. Am I a reprobate for asking where their information comes from?

Very subtle indeed.
Yes I agree some people on here post in a brash and forthright way.
Just like Paul did
.

You seem to have different judgments for different people depending on if they follow your religious traditions or not. My "inference" is subtle and wicked, while your friends inference is "Brash and Forthright", like Paul. This looks like a double standard. While it is good to edify a brother through correction, and I thank you for that, it isn't good to have different judgments depending on their stature in your eyes. (rich/poor, Stupid/smart, friends/strangers) Just Saying.

With regards to Shamah,
Even though I do not totally agree with him, he has never ever accused anyone on here who believes in Jesus of believing in a false religion and a different Christ.
You however do and you are not any better than those you accuse.
Those you accuse point to Jesus, yet you accuse such who disagree with in fact do not Jesus, or the Jesus you believe in.

But The truth is that there is another Jesus Billy, not of the Bible. He has very long flowing, almost perfect hair. His profile is perfect, almost the perfect example of a handsome man. He was born on Dec. 25th. He is known world wide as the "Christian God". He is on Billboards, in movies, on the news. He is shown naked and bleeding in some statues in the front of many thousands of churches. His followers teach that he came to free men, from God's instructions his followers preach are burdensome, against them, and were created impossible to follow..

Who is this man? Who created him. Where did he come from. Why do "MANY" who come in Christ's name call Him Jesus when we all know He isn't the real Jesus? What does God say about such an image?

I think this would be a great conversation to have among brothers. Sadly, not many others on this forum do.

We all fall foul of that, not saying it is right but is a reality.

That's not the Jesus that walked the earth.

Isaiah 53:2 (NLT Study Bible Text,)
2 My servant grew up in the Lord’s presence like a tender green shoot,
like a root in dry ground.
There was nothing beautiful or majestic about his appearance,
nothing to attract us to him.

However you do accuse those who disagree with your theology and interpretation of scripture are following a false Jesus, the false Jesus you described above.

I realize that we can choose to block the false teachers but what of those that are either lost and seeking the truth or babes in Christ that can be deceived? Is it not better to ban these people seeing they are already accursed, according to Paul.

"I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed" (Galatians 1:6-9).

There is likely no legitimate reason to provide a free soapbox for those that deny the free gift of salvation and have departed from the old paths of God's truth.

"Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set" (Proverbs 22:28).

I believe works come AFTER the point of salvation and have n BEARING on if you have or can KEEP your salvation..

I vote #2

And as you can see..i had an original "agreement" with biblestudystudent on his/her post

Still waiting on MY answers...
NOW, that was not one of the answers. However, it is not what my second question is all about,
But it gave me a MAJOR clue where you are coming from, and it is a FALSE DOCTRINE.
Our SALVATION is NEVER in our hands to KEEP or to LOSE.
And just so you know, MOST OF US HERE, do NOT think our SALVATION can be KEPT BY US, because it is a FREE GIFT FROM GOD.

John 10:28-30 (HCSB)
28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish—ever! No one will snatch them out of My hand.
29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all. No one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.
30 The Father and I are one.”

Philippians 1:6 (HCSB)
6 I am sure of this, that He who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Jonah 2:9 (HCSB)
9 but as for me, I will sacrifice to You with a voice of thanksgiving. I will fulfill what I have vowed. Salvation is from the LORD!

Ephesians 2:8-9 (HCSB)
8 For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift
9 not from works, so that no one can boast.

Titus 3:5-7 (HCSB)
5 He saved us— not by works of righteousness that we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
6 He poured out this ⌊Spirit⌋ on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior,
7 so that having been justified by His grace, we may become heirs with the hope of eternal life.

And the
Coup de grâce
to your FALSE DOCTRINE of "we have to KEEP our Salvation or Lose it":

Romans 11:6 (HCSB)
6 Now if by grace, then it is not by works; otherwise grace ceases to be grace.

You are wasting your time on this site, almost all of us have the Holy Spirit in our hearts convincing us that we cannot earn our Salvation, NOR KEEP it by our Works. We wholeheartedly believe that our works HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH SALVATION, and ONLY confirm that WE LOVE HIM and OTHERS. Our Works are PART OF LOVE, Rom. 5:1-5, and not SALVATION; and we CANNOT BE SWAYED BY YOUR FALSE DOCTINE.

BYE NOW.

Never ending :( i SHOULD be sitting on a beach somewhere with a cabanna boy on my vacation..not doing housework..lol
I get so overwhelmed with it all... in fact, I recently had a sister and her husband coming to visit me, and I had a huge job of cleaning up my apartment to make it acceptable/presentable for guests, which I never would have been able to accomplish without the help of some people from my church, one couple in particular, who all but begged to be a blessing in my life, and were they ever! In less than two weeks my place was completely transformed; the young woman came over three different times for at least three hours each time, and her husband once, plus a third young man/elder-in-training (the men spent about total of five hours between them in my kitchen). I have always loved my church, but had not really experienced such hands-on, practical assistance before, and I am so grateful for everything they have done, and continue to do, for me :) My little cat is also enjoying all the space freed up for her to lounge and run around in :D

I grew up Roman Catholic then converted to Mormonism - and the Lord saved me in 1976! The blood of Jesus Christ washed away all my filthy sins and am washed and clothed in His righteousness!

However, it doesn't much matter what we call ourselves as far as denominational badges go - but what God the Father calls us. We are either His blood-bought children or children of the other one, the god of this world.

I am not a betting man, but it seems HIGHLY LIKELY that your Baptist Pastor would not agree with your, "we have to KEEP our Salvation or Lose it" theory.
