As as far as the Great Commission is concerned.....Can you show me the scripture relating to them actually doing what Jesus said? Going forth? Physically? Baptizing? Where are the Epistles relating to the Great Commisson? Acts 1 and 2? Hardly.....it never happened, not because it won’t, it will, during tribulation after the rapture of the church. Unless of course you think Paul singlehandedly fulfilled it.....alone
Now since you are NEW HERE on this thread, we need you to prove yourself first, and it appears
YOU DOUBT THAT ALL OF THE SCRIPTURES WERE INSPIRED BY HIM. You also appear to use a line of question that is reminiscent of the line that is designed to LEAD PEOPLE ASTRAY, like the Mormons do, or the Jehovah Witness do. So KNOW, I have to ASK?
2 Timothy 3:16-17 (HCSB)
16
All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness,
17 so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
2 Peter 1:20-21 (HCSB)
20 First of all, you should know this:
No prophecy of Scripture comes from one’s own interpretation,
21 because
no prophecy ever came by the will of man;
instead, men spoke from God as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
WE BELIEVE THAT WITH OUR WHOLE HEART. DO YOU?
What We Believe
The Holy Scriptures
We believe the Scriptures—both the Old and New Testaments—to be the verbally inspired Word of God, written by men in God’s control, inerrant and infallible in the original manuscripts and the final authority in faith and life. We accept the literal, grammatical-historical system of interpretation of the Scriptures, and accept the historical record of the Bible as accurate and adequate (2 Tim. 3:15-17; 2 Pet. 1:20, 21; Ps. 19:7-9).
NOW Here you come with line of questions, that is VAGUE AT BEST, so You tell me why I should not suspect that you are ONE LIKE THESE:
Acts 20:29-30 (HCSB)
29 I know that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock.
30 And men will rise up from your own number with deviant doctrines to lure the disciples into following them.
So, how come you chose to go after Hevosmies, a younger Brother, instead of one of us older Brethren. That is a Cult-like Tactic, you know.
So let us START again:
Give us your Denomination or Type of Church that You attend, PLEASE?
So that we CAN check out their Doctrinal Statement of False.
Tell Us HOW you personally KNOW you are Born Again?
THEN, you can ask us your Questions,
BUT IN MUCH MORE DETAIL, clarifying WHY YOU ASK, so you will not get our suspicions up that YOU ARE TRYING TO LEAD YOUNGER BRETHREN ASTRAY, in to False Doctrine.
You can as Me, a conservative evangelical, and I was Born Again in 1977, and will turn 70 next month; or if you prefer you can ask any of the following Brothers:
