No my dear.

YOU said I put obedience before faith.

I SAID to PLEASE show me WHERE I said that.

Really,,, those on this thread should STOP spreading lies about me and stating that I said things I did not say.

The word MUST OBEY has nothing to do with what comes first....
obedience
or
faith.

I'll wait for you to prove that I ever said obedience comes first and then faith.

Thank you.
Must makes obey a law. That's how you are putting it before faith. Not by works of law.

We hear the Lord speak whether through a scripture, or His Voice in our Spirit. I have never heard Him speak in a commanding way. It's always been an answer for whatever a situation might be. Gentle and wise.

The beginning of my walk with the Lord was a question He put to me. Which way will you go? I believed in Jesus first, always hearing about Him growing up. I knew at that point He was my only help.

I believe He works the perfect way for each of us specifically and always at the right timing. How could we not choose Him to do what He asks?

Some things have been hard to do and it did take suffering. But we know within it works not only for our own good but for others too.

We would not do this if the Cross of Jesus had not been accepted for our flesh nature would remain and we would be bound to it.

We have been freed to love Him. Even love is given to us. Everything we need to live a godly life is given.

So if you DO NOT obey,,,,
you're stills saved?

John 15:14 JESUS SAID
14“You are My friends if you do what I command you. "

It's a good idea to remain friends with Jesus...
He said we are His friend IF we do what He commands...
That was a response to Hevosmies.

Oy vey!

What about this one? Its even in the Pauline epistles, even dispensationalists have to touch this one.

Anyone got something? We're toast!
We are not toast.....her dogma discounts the simple truth....

JESUS begins the work of faith in us
JESUS finishes the work of faith in us
Jesus completes the work of faith in us

To say one can walk away lost flat denies the above truth....

I would not believe one word she states....denies verb tense, twists and rejects context, conflates numerous doctrines into one big quagmire, deceptively states we do not post verses and scripture when we do, peddles the early church fathers and her catholic twist on the word all while devaluing JESUS, his promises, faith, work, sacrifice and the truth.............
Yes, a complete, complete miss on all counts.

The initial faith that saves whereby we receive the gift of salvation/ regenerated/ born again/ justified, is a moment in time, an event which is separate from our daily walk in faith after having been regenerated/redeemed.

It is very clear when Jesus talks to Nicodemus.

Luke 9:62
But Jesus told him, “Anyone who puts a hand to the plow and then looks back is not fit for the Kingdom of God"
I have not heard this verse used in a while by works-salvationists, but I used to hear Mormons quote it in order to support "fit for membership in the kingdom of God/salvation by works." The NIV reads - Jesus replied, "No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God."

Luke 8:13
They believe for a while but in the time of testing they will fall away.

There are many more...but this should be enough for the wise.
Jesus Himself said some believe for a while, temporarily, and then fall away.

What could be clearer than that?
Don't forget to properly harmonize scripture with scripture. *See post #1009 here - https://christianchat.com/bible-dis...other-osas-thread.166480/page-51#post-3619086

Paul is teaching about the "worthy walk" not about how to keep salvation to the Colossians,
Chapter 1 v. 10

"That ye might walk worthy of the Lord"

We do not walk worthy for salvation, salvation is a gift, it is NOT based on our worthiness

Out of context scripture ------ again a fail!!

What it does teach is that abiding in the faith is required for one to have a good report at the Judgment Seat of Christ

"present you holy and unblameable"

Your false teaching proven false.....next....

Colossians 1:21-23
21And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds,
22yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach—
23if indeed you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, was made a minister.

All I did was post scripture.
@Hevosmies could make up his own mind.

It would be nice if you posted scripture too....
The right and acceptable way.

Saved by faith and grace.
Not by works.
People argue back and forth.
It truly makes my brain hurt.
