Your rsponse is i did not understand what you were saying
I never made any comment of this sort and hence my response which was:

"How now are you saying:
" Or maybe you could show me where i misunderstood so i can answer you correctly, instead of acting this way"

Did you forget what you said?Did you forget the initial question?Do you have an answer?"

I think people forget the price,

God wraps us in salvation with his own flesh and blood, as God wrapped adam and eve with the skin of animals, and the high priest covered the sin of the people with the blood of the killed animal, so the cherub could not see what accused the people, and as john recognized, jesus is the lamb of god, who removes the sin of us all.

They seem to think they can wrap themselfs, or worse yet, they can open the door of the ark and jump out. (Or unwrap themselves)

They forget salvation was not something we could do, as a person who has fallen into rushing water totally unable to save themselves, then think that if the person is saved, they would jump back into that water, knowing they would have to be saved again, because they did not learn the first time?

Pride is a hard thing to break, we can just pray God break the pride of those whomare so close to truth, but so far from it, pray they are not of those who will stand on their merit, only to be told depart because you NEVER KNEW THEM.
my wife and i were driving home last night, some 2 or 3 hours, talking about all the places where a special garment or article of clothing is found in scripture -- all we can remember. it's absolutely fascinating -- not only the typology of being robed in Christ, e.g. the armor of light, the clothing He made for Adam and Eve, the wedding garment, the robe put on the prodigal son, the mantle of Elijah, etc etc -- but the counterfeits: the Babylonian garment stolen out of Jericho, the priestly robes Samson took to give for the wrongfully won prize, the grave clothes of Lazarus, the young man holding the clothes of those who stoned Stephen, and the pharisees who tried to cast out demons in Christ's name, who were attacked by that demon, and fled away naked!

Thou hast clothed me with skin and flesh, and hast fenced me with bones and sinews.
Thou hast granted me life and favour, and Thy visitation hath preserved my spirit.
And these things hast Thou hid in Thine heart: I know that this is with Thee.

The Holy Spirit would never lead you to believe that. See where your studying has led you to?
well. tell us where your studying has lead you.

I mean, you keep implying that you " through the Sprit" have all this understanding, and we don't , just come out and plainly say you believe, and stop demanding your questions be answered, and just state your beliefs.

i' be watching, might even be in a tower.

Still saved.

Romans 4:3-6
3 For the Scriptures tell us, “Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.”
4 When people work, their wages are not a gift, but something they have earned. 5 But people are counted as righteous, not because of their work, but because of their faith in God who forgives sinners. 6 David also spoke of this when he described the happiness of those who are declared righteous without working for it:

Ok then you are among those who believe we can continue in sin and still be servants to sin and still be saved?Read:

"What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life."(Romans 6:1-4)

"Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace."(Romans 6:11-14)

"What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?"(Romans 6:15,16)

"For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."(Romans 6:20-23)

Read the studies, "Justification", "Iniquity,Charity and Faith"(Post #82364,84145,84149) which shows the proper relationship between faith and works and which reconciles passages which appear to be contradictory.

Yes thanks for asking. The wife and I went Grocery shopping. We have fun when we are out. Grocery shopping is like going on a really expensive date for us. When we got home my wife and daughters went and got their nails done. I got to watch my grand kids; Nevaeh and Jesse. They are great. I normally play with them but not today, I nursed my back.

How about you?

BTW I am sorry I am just tired of the constant name calling, rudeness and deflecting. WE (including me) all have our moments. But it has gotten out of hand here. What is worse some even make excuses for their un-Christ like manner.
I Agree

Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law. Romans 3:31

No law, no order but just chaos and LAWLESSNESS. Do you follow the laws of your country? Wouldn't it be more righteous and wise to follow and obey God's laws and commands just as Jesus obeyed His Father's.

...Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. 1 John 3:4

...But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them. They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over weak-willed women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, always learning but never able to acknowledge the truth. Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these men oppose the truth—men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected. But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those men, their folly will be clear to everyone. 2 Timothy 3:1-9

...Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God. Don’t you remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things? And now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time. For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming. The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness. 2 Thessalonians 2:3-12

...Did the word of God originate with you? Or are you the only people it has reached? If anybody thinks he is a prophet or spiritually gifted, let him acknowledge that what I am writing to you is the Lord’s command. If he ignores this, he himself will be ignored. 1 Corinthians 14:36-38
Does this mean you disagree with Scripture saying salvation is a gift of God?

Wow. You really can't help yourself.
Did you know what Jesus said about what comes out of the mouth?

Mathew 15:11
10Then Jesus called to the crowd to come and hear. “Listen,” he said, “and try to understand.
11It’s not what goes into your mouth that defiles you; you are defiled by the words that come out of your mouth.”

Ephesians 4:29
Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.

Luke 6:45
The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.

We all have our problems with sin,,,,but consider that this is such a bad testimony to those that know you're Christian. I mean, if we act like the rest of the world...then what'd the difference between us and them?
Wow. I must have it all twisted. You're doing " the tree by its fruit" thing huh?
I thought the separation was our proclamation that "CHRIST IS KING!"
So I guess you could pull out the big and easy judgement card if I told you I struggled with drug abuse and still believed and loved the Lord with all my heart?
What do you have to say about that?
I assume only because it was that way with me that it's those exact petty judgements of outward perfection that turn people away from that "Christ stuff"

To overcome what?
If we need to overcome something....whatever we do, some here will call that a work.
I've read some say that faith itself is a work!

The idea that Jesus does everything for us makes no sense.
Jesus did HIS part for us by the atonement....
Don't we also have something to do?

Do we have a relationship with Jesus?
Does a relationship require TWO persons or just ONE?

God gives to us,,,
and we give back.

Your verses above are true and they DO NOT conflict with the following verses.
Jesus and Paul both taught works. They both taught that we are to obey God.
WHAT are we to obey???

How do you explain the following?
Why do you feel intimidated by doing something good for God and declaring it so?

vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv
Galatians 6:9-10
Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary. So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.
Matthew 5:38-48
"You have heard that it was said, 'AN EYE FOR AN EYE, AND A TOOTH FOR A TOOTH.' "But I say to you, do not resist an evil person; but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. "If anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, let him have your coat also.
Luke 6:27-36
"But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. "Whoever hits you on the cheek, offer him the other also; and whoever takes away your coat, do not withhold your shirt from him either.
1 Peter 3:8-13
To sum up, all of you be harmonious, sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted, and humble in spirit; not returning evil for evil or insult for insult, but giving a blessing instead; for you were called for the very purpose that you might inherit a blessing. For, "THE ONE WHO DESIRES LIFE, TO LOVE AND SEE GOOD DAYS, MUST KEEP HIS TONGUE FROM EVIL AND HIS LIPS FROM SPEAKING DECEIT.
Psalm 34:12-16
Who is the man who desires life And loves length of days that he may see good? Keep your tongue from evil And your lips from speaking deceit. Depart from evil and do good; Seek peace and pursue it.
Hebrews 13:16
And do not neglect doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
1 Peter 2:20
For what credit is there if, when you sin and are harshly treated, you endure it with patience? But if when you do what is right and suffer for it you patiently endure it, this finds favor with God.
1 Peter 3:17
For it is better, if God should will it so, that you suffer for doing what is right rather than for doing what is wrong.
John 5:28-29
"Do not marvel at this; for an hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs will hear His voice, and will come forth; those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment.
Luke 6:35
"But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men.
Romans 2:5-11
But because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, who WILL RENDER TO EACH PERSON ACCORDING TO HIS DEEDS: to those who by perseverance in doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life;
1 Timothy 6:17-19
Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to fix their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy. Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is life indeed.
2 Timothy 2:20-21
Now in a large house there are not only gold and silver vessels, but also vessels of wood and of earthenware, and some to honor and some to dishonor. Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these things, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work.
James 2:14-21
What use is it, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but he has no works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is without clothing and in need of daily food, and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, be warmed and be filled," and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that?
James 3:13
Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom.
2 Corinthians 9:8
And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed;
Acts 9:36
Now in Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha (which translated in Greek is called Dorcas); this woman was abounding with deeds of kindness and charity which she continually did.
Philippians 2:12-13
So then, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.
Colossians 1:10-12
so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience; joyously giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light.
Ephesians 2:10
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.
2 Timothy 2:21
Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these things, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.
1 Peter 2:13-15
Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every human institution, whether to a king as the one in authority, or to governors as sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and the praise of those who do right. For such is the will of God that by doing right you may silence the ignorance
We overcome the world spirit, our own flesh, and the devil. How? By the blood of the Lamb and the Word of testimony. Whatever comes our way in life, we trust (obey) what He says.

I will look it up. Yeah, looks like it is a religion. I guess that I always have heard and believed that religion was man's attempt to please God but apparently there is a religion that is pure and faultless as stated in James. Based on that verse I rescind my post that Christianity is not a religion. I actually learned something in this forum today. Thank you.

I have alway said since I became Born Again the last week of 1977, "I do not teach a religion, I teach a real Relationship with Jesus Christ, out of LOVE for HIM.

Does this mean you disagree with Scripture saying salvation is a gift of God?
Does my post say that i disagree with scriptures?

QUOTE: "No law, no order but just chaos and LAWLESSNESS. Do you follow the laws of your country? Wouldn't it be more righteous and wise to follow and obey God's laws and commands just as Jesus obeyed His Father's."

The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life. Revelation 22:17

If a person would CLAIM to believe yet would not repent, confess, obey and suffer for the sake of Christ, will he be saved and always saved?

...Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in one spirit, contending as one man for the faith of the gospel without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you. This is a sign to them that they will be destroyed, but that YOU WILL BE SAVED—and that by God. For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ NOT ONLY TO BELIEVE ON HIM, but also TO SUFFER FOR HIM, since you are going through the same struggle you saw I had, and now hear that I still have. Philippians 1:27-30

Suffering for Being a Christian ...Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice that you PARTICIPATE IN THE SUFFERINGS OF CHRIST, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. If you are INSULTED because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler. However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name. For it is time for judgment to begin with the family of God; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for THOSE WHO DO NOT OBEY THE GOSPEL OF GOD? And, “If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?” So then, those who suffer according to God’s will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and CONTINUE TO DO GOOD. 1 Peter 4:12-19

...and, “A stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall.” THEY STUMBLE BECAUSE THEY DISOBEY THE MESSAGE—which is also what they were destined for. But how is it to your credit if you receive a beating for doing wrong and endure it? But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God. To this you were called, BECAUSE CHRIST SUFFERED FOR YOU, LEAVING YOU AN EXAMPLE THAT YOU SHOULD FOLLOW IN HIS STEPS. 1 Peter 2:8,20-21

Did Jesus left us an example to follow? And what did we benefit from it?

If by His OBEDIENCE to God He became the source of eternal salvation for those who obey Him, Aren't we supposed to OBEY him if we really believe that He is our source of ETERNAL SALVATION?

....During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. Although he was a son, HE LEARNED OBEDIENCE FROM WHAT HE SUFFERED and, once made perfect, he became THE SOURCE OF ETERNAL SALVATION FOR THOSE WHO OBEY HIM. Hebrews 5:7-9

What did Jesus instruct His disciples before He went back to the Father?

...teaching them to obey whatever I have commanded you...Matthew 28:18-20

And what did the disobedient do according to Isaiah?

...for they have REJECTED THE LAW of the Lord Almighty and SPURNED THE WORD of the Holy One of Israel. Isaiah 5:20-24

And Paul who was the apostle to the Gentiles gave them this warning...

...LET NO ONE DECEIVE YOU with empty words, for because of such things GOD'S WRATH COMES ON THOSE WHO ARE DISOBEDIENT. Therefore do not be partners with them. Ephesians 5:6'7

Now who are THE LIARS that are deceiving you?

...We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands. The man who says, “I know him,” but DOES NOT DO WHAT HE COMMANDS is A LIAR, AND THE TRUTH IS NOT IN HIM. But if anyone obeys his word, God’s love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did. 1 John 2:3-6

And John reiterated in 2 john 1:6-11

...AND THIS IS LOVE: THAT WE WALK IN OBEDIENCE TO HIS COMMANDS. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love. Many DECEIVERS, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. ANY SUCH PERSON IS THE DECEIVER AND THE ANTICHRIST. Watch out that you do not lose what you have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully. Anyone who runs ahead and DOES NOT CONTINUE IN THE TEACHING OF CHRIST does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take him into your house or welcome him. Anyone who welcomes him shares in his wicked work. (see also john 14:21-24 and matthew 19:16-30 about Jesus teachings)

As Jesus, Paul and the other apostles and disciples did warn us too.

...At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who STANDS FIRM TO THE END WILL BE SAVED. For FALSE CHRISTS and FALSE PROPHETS will appear and perform great signs and miracles to DECEIVE even the elect—if that were possible. Matthew 24:10-13,24

...For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, WHO CHANGE THE GRACE OF OUR GOD INTO A LICENSE FOR IMMORALITY and DENY JESUS CHRIST our only Sovereign and Lord. These men are grumblers and faultfinders; they follow their own evil desires; they boast about themselves and flatter others for their own advantage. But, dear friends, remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ foretold. They said to you, “IN THE LAST TIMES there will be SCOFFERS who will follow their own ungodly desires.” THESE ARE THE MEN WHO DIVIDE YOU, who follow mere natural instincts and DO NOT HAVE THE SPIRIT. Jude 1:4,16-19

Are there people on this thread WHO DIVIDE YOU by teaching that OBEDIENCE TO GOD'S COMMANDS HAVE NO BEARING IN SALVATION?

Don't they reject Jesus teaching that those who will stand firm to the end ( overcomers) WILL BE SAVED which is contrary to OSAS?

Do they not refuse His warnings about deceivers or FALSE CHRISTS, PROPHETS AND TEACHERS who will appear in the last days when many will ABANDON/TURN AWAY from the FAITH?

...See to it that you do not refuse him who speaks. If they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, how much less will we, if we turn away from him who warns us from heaven? Hebrews 12:25

...But I am afraid that just as Eve was DECEIVED by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be LED ASTRAY from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ.

...DO NOT BE DECEIVED: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Galatians 6:7

Whew! Was just meditating on all my short comings and sin.
Dear heavenly Father my gratitude extends beyond my physical means of showing it. Thank you, thank you so very very much for your extended grace and justifying my filthy, filthy self through the blood of your most precious and powerful son. I love you so very very much.

Answering a question with a question while you repeatedly go into lecture overdrive mode suggests disagreement to me.
