He ignores the facts that the so called churches are filled with false prophets and preachers every SUNDAY, Wednesday and Saturday preaching hundreds of thousands of hours and several religions that "CAST out demons" regularly.....JESUS spoke of them....

MANY will before me in that day say, "lord, LORD have we not........done many wonderful works in your name, cast out demons in your name, prophesied in your name"

Jesus does not say they did not do these things, but he does say HE NEVER knew them......I.E. they were NEVER saved to begin with.....

They peddle the same thing the workers for, Cainologists, salvation losers and Pharisees peddle to this very day
This plain truth is definately overlooked!

Im sick of it being overlooked!

I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die. Galatians 2:21

Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. Because of what law? The law that requires works? No, because of the law that requires faith. For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the law. Romans 3:27-28

Therefore, since we have been declared righteous by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in the hope of God’s glory. Romans 5:1-2

but also for our sake, to whom it will be credited, those who believe in the one who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. He was given over because of our transgressions and was raised for the sake of our justification. Romans 4:24-25

For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. Ephesians 2:8-10

the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction. Romans 3:22

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. John 3:36

because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” Romans 10:9-11

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, as it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.” Clearly no one who relies on the law is justified before God, because “the righteous will live by faith.” Galatians 3:10-11

For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it. James 2:10

Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Romans 4:4-5

Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. Romans 3:20

But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught. You know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you. You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. 2 Timothy 3:14-16

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17

For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. Romans 4:3

What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, a righteousness that is by faith; but the people of Israel, who pursued the law as the way of righteousness, have not attained their goal. Why not? Because they pursued it not by faith but as if it were by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone. Romans 9:30-32

And he said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.” Luke 7:50

Just as I predicted....... im here again. Sad times.
Dont know if im institutionalized or what but civilian life is tough!
This sounds so sad and lonely. Is each day such a struggle, and the joy of the Lord and His blessing
not your strength? Life is so full of such beauty and gifts, and Jesus gives us life so abundantly.

Is there something we can do to help?

I would agree those that teach perseverance, ie genuine faith, get backed into a corner when it comes to eternal security.

The scripture only teaches about faith, not genuine faith or spurious faith.
I don't understand the difference.
Faith is faith.

If I have faith,,,why would't it be genuine faith?
I think there's no difference.

Give it a rest. We can see from the words of Christ in John 6:64 that He knew who it was who would betray him, and He associates him with those who did not believe from the beginning. This means that Judas never was a true believer in Christ.

Just as in Matthew 10:1, we see that Jesus gave His 12 disciples power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease. Judas is included in the 12, yet Jesus referred to Judas as an unbelieving, unclean devil who would betray Him. (John 6:64-71; 13:10-11). Apparently, Judas may have believed that Jesus' name has the power to cast out devils, but did not truly believe in His name and become a child of God (John 1:12), but instead was the son of perdition (John 17:12).

Jesus sent the twelve to preach only to Israel. Matthew 10:5 - These twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying: “Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans. 6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 7 And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ It doesn't take a saved person to preach, 'the kingdom of heaven is at hand to Israel.'

I've heard modern day false teachers who were preachers mention the gospel during a sermon on TV and quote such verses as John 3:16 and Romans 1:16 to their viewing audience, which does not mean those false teachers (preachers) were saved either.

Judas never received the Holy Spirit (John 7:38-39). The power to cast out devils is in Jesus' name and not in the person. Just like so many other people who on that day will cry out, "Lord, Lord, did we not ..cast out devils in your name.." Just as with Judas, Jesus will declare to them, "I NEVER knew you.."

It wasn't until Judas went away and discussed with the chief priests and officers how he might betray Him to them that the Bible says Satan entered Judas. (Luke 22:3) Yet prior to that, Jesus said of Judas, "he is a devil!" (John 6:70-71) So your argument is moot.

Matthew 10:17 - But beware of men, for they will deliver you up to councils and scourge you in their synagogues. 18 You will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles. 19 But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak; 20 for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you. *JUDAS NEVER MADE IT THIS FAR.

Proverbs 24:16 - For a righteous man may fall seven times and rise again, (Judas was not a righteous man and did not rise again) But the wicked shall fall by calamity.

What does scripture say about Judas Iscariot?

1. Judas was an unbeliever and is a devil.....John 6:64-71
2. Judas was spiritually unclean......John 13:11
3. Judas is lost and is the son of perdition.........John 17:12
4. Judas was not kept by Jesus........John 17:12; 18:9
5. Judas was a traitor.....Luke 6:16
6. Judas was a betrayer.....Multiple verses.
7. Judas was a thief and did not care for the poor........John 12:6
8. Judas was guilty of a greater sin.......John 19:11
9. Judas was influenced by Satan to betray Jesus.......John 13:2
10. Judas was entered by Satan.......Luke 22:3
11. Judas kills himself......Matthew 27:5
12. Judas' habitation to be desolate......Acts 1:20, Psalm 69:25

Scripture gives no compelling reason to believe that Judas was ever saved, but if you are more interested in promoting your agenda than you are in seriously considering the truth, then I cannot help you any further.
He cannot give up to the truth.....Judas is one of the "GO To GUYS" the salvation losers use to peddle a false gospel......the bible is clear....

Who it was that would NOT BELIEVE
Who it was that was not clean
IS a DEVIL

These are ALL clear to those being honest......not to mention the plethora of truth in your post..................Amazing

He cannot agree......he teaches his "flock" a losable salvation and he uses JUDAS as a "Go to GUY".........to admit the truth is to admit being in error........then would he have the integrity to get up and tell his people he was in error? Highly doubtful

Knew WHO would NOT believe
Knew who was NOT clean
Is a DEVIL
Same one that SOLD HIM (JESUS) OUT by a kiss

The truth is clear

Please just post scripture that’s says we are
“Justified by faith alone”.

If you can’t then please repent from teaching man made unbiblical doctrine.

JPT
Hi JPT

The bible does teach two different steps to being saved.
One is purely an act of God...this would be Ephesians 2:8-9

What many refuse to believe is step two.
This would be Ephesians 2:10

The church has pretty much decided to call it:
Sanctification
or
Progressive Justification.

It means that we are on a road to holiness....but to be on that road means to work with God and to walk alongside Him.

IF we're walking alongside God....then we are required (a term much hated around here) to obey Him and to walk in His way. It's a cooperative act and God does not sanctify us without our approval and cooperation.

Galatians 5:16.........
and many more.....

2 Corinthians 10:5
5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

The Pharisees had the same problem.........after being called Masters and Teachers for so LONG they could not admit error and instead dug their heels in and would not admit error......

When I first started studying I gave a devotional on Proverbs 8 and totally misapplied the scriptures.......and after my first three years of seminary (to make up for lost bible time) and studying 65 hours a week for almost three years straight, I went back to that church, stood up and told them I had taught Proverbs 8 in error and CORRECTED MYSELF openly................

Is there something we can do to help?
It is. Not each day is as bad. Its not the Lord's fault its me. I have been like this my entire life, something wrong with the brainchemicals maybe? The days when I got something positive to do like church days are much better. I've read that verse that you should have more life more abundantly. But I always take it to mean after this life, since everything extravagant or fun in this life is pretty much forbidden, isnt it? Lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh, pride of life? Who loves the world teh love of the Father is not in him? Friendship with the world is emnity with God. and so on.

Thanks for your concern. Not much anyone can do for me other than pray I guess, its my problem and I got to fix it somehow.

Hey brother...
Matthew 27:54
When the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed, "Surely he was the Son of God!"
I would swing more to this centurion being saved then Judas , I mean at least this centurion had it in his heart to say " Surely he was the Son of God : , Judas had nothing but an evil heart...

Also I believe Jesus shows us how people can be soooo close to us pretending to be children of God , just like Judas deceived the disciples to the point they had no idea he was a traitor , we must be watchful at all times...xox...
AMEN......but I will add....

JESUS knew who it was that WOULD NOT BELIEVE and who it was that was NOT CLEAN

ONE that WILL not BELIEVE was NEVER saved and then LOST IT..............

It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to same them that believe

ONE MUST BELIEVE to be saved.

Notice the bolded....it does not say who it was that would believe and then fall away............

Good morning sister in the Lord, grace and peace to you from Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.

As we walk in His word and with His Holy Spirit things become much clearer.
You are a great encouragement to me, and I feel privileged to know you and read your contributions.

What is stunning is the amount of effort that all the contributors here put into this thread.
I hope and pray it can truly reflect to the glory of the King who is our Lord and Saviour.

I am convicted that many stand defeated and their positions are expressed from disappointment and
hurts which have never been resolved. And on this subject, we are encouraged to grow into one family,
in mind thought and heart, desiring to know the will of the Father here on earth.

And I know how hard this is to realise, even for me as a husband with my wife, so how much more when we barely
know each other. But then God is God of the impossible, who overcame sin death for us, so all things
are possible, Amen, and God bless.

And every morning I am staggard to know, God loves us, and has come as Jesus to show us how deeply this
is true and real, Amen, glory to Him, thank you Jesus.
