You can't claim you have stopped sinning and then say "if I do sin..."

You are chasing your own tail.
Like a dog they return to their vomit.

Dogs may try to be new creatures, But they will always be exposed as dogs. Because they cant help themselves.

Have you ever given up any sins for Jesus?

You have done absolutely nothing, isn't that right?
You can't "give up" your sins - you can only give them over to Jesus and His cleansing blood. Through His sacrifice on the cross, I have no sins attributed to me. He has taken them and thrown them as far as the east is from the west. ALL of them. It's the reason why we are called holy, righteous, and perfect in Scripture.

Have I stopped sinning?

Nope.

Neither have you, nor anyone else.

And if you think you have, you're dreaming and might as well wish for a unicorn.
Rom 7.

And we would be foolish to think we 100% of the time do not do anything out of selfish ambition. Maybe even unknown to us..People who thn they can, do not understand what sin is, they water the law down so they can step over it. And refuse to be trained by the law to realise it is so far out of their reach, they have no ability to even come close to it.

1 John 1: 8. If WE say we HAVE NO SIN, we DECIEVE ourselves. And their is NO TRUTH IN US.
That is about how you are not saved if you never admitted to be a sinner and then repented of your sins.
The way to be saved is to repent of your sins.
If you never repented of your sins then you are not saved. That is what that scripture means.

Hi Bud,

How is it it comes to this? The delusion must be true, and the person, no matter how sincere
must be lying and evil. God bless you, you are just harming yourself more.
Don't hurt yourself getting off that high horse.

That is....if you ever do come down from it. ;)

If you are still doing those sins, then they are still with you.

You think God is teaching us to be liars by saying we have no sins while we keep sinning as always?

Excuse me?

John said IF WE SAY, He included himself in that passage. Present tense.

John admitted he was not without sin, Just like Paul did in romans 7. And John said people like you who claim you are without sin are decieved. And there is no truth in you.

Sin is transgression of the Law. By saying you no longer sin, you are claiming you keep the entire Law perfectly - 24 hours a day, seven days a week - without fail in thought, word, or deed.

That's quite an accomplishment for someone who doesn't even know what a contradiction in terms is.

Only if grace has stopped

And if his sin are with him, so are yours.. Your both doomed
What you are saying is not truth.

If I am a fornicator before I am saved, but repent of it and get saved and have that sin washed away, but I never stop fornicating, do you really think that sin is washed away?

You are the one who says faith alone to get saved.
That in no way means we do not think a person can live in sin. In fact, the bible says it is impossible for a child of God to live in sin. (1 John)

I just say what the bible says.
Not by works of righteousness (good deeds) which we have done, but by HIS MERCY HE SAVED US by the WASHING AND RENEWAL OF THE HS

God saves us, If you think you can save yourself. You are decieved.

If we obey the whole law, yet fail in one point, we are guilty of the whole law.
When ar eyou going to admit your own sin and stop judgingn everyone else's

We can stop sinning, and it doesn't mean we might not mess up here and there.
Wait a minute. Stop sinning, but mess up here and there?

Whats the difference between a sin and a mess up?

Let me guess: Me commiting fornication is a sin. Me flipping the bird to someone in traffic is a "mess up" right?

You claim you have stopped sinning. We both know that's a lie.

Remember what the Bible says about liars? (Revelation 21:8)

No

Loving others is how we obey Jesus

You have it backwards my friend.

Jesus himself said Love God and Love others, and in DOING THIS you will fulfill the law.

Not fulfill the law and IN THIS you will show love
You should study that a little more.
Jesus says to love God and love others means you obey all the other commands.
