A child of God does not live in fear every day because they was adopted into a royal family. With God as their father.

You don't even get to be a family member and friend if you don't obey!

Luke 11:28 He replied, "Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it."

Matthew 12:50 For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother."

John 15:14 You are my friends if you do what I command.
Not because they are doing somethign about their sins. Unlike you they are not foolish enough to think they are sinless. Nor are they untrustworthy of their father so much that they fear getting kicked out of his family for not meeting his standard (a standard no one can keep by the way)

The fool says in his heart […]

If the most powerful being in the universe, who knows the future and the past and made
everything, told you to do something, would you ignore it?
Yet there are people who say yes they would, because they know better.
Do you notice they have made themselves above the Lord of all creation?
John 6:29 [blb] -

"Jesus answered and said to them, 'This is the work of God, that you should believe in Him whom He has sent.' "

1 John 5:9-12 [blb] -

"9 If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater. For this is the testimony of God that He has testified concerning His Son. 10 The one believing in the Son of God has the testimony in himself; the one not believing God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has testified concerning His Son.

"11 And this is the testimony: that God has given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 The one having the Son has life; the one not having the Son of God does not have life."

When I got saved , I did not have a clue about anything other that Jesus died a most horrific death for the sins of my life , past , present and future...
Only by the word of God and Jesus teaching me I have learned and still learning , and will carry on growing until the Lord calls me home...
Have you learned yet not to go against the truth and say we don't have to repent of our sins to get saved?
It is only by feeding on the word of God that teaches us to live our lives before Christ...Before I understood what I know now , I was a babe in Christ , just like we all start out...
We have to hear the message that saves and that is about our repenting of sins to get saved.
The day I got saved , I was in Christ , I did many things wrong , but our Lord corrected me...
Every night before I go to sleep , I tell God I am sorry for any sin I have unknowingly committed , and for any I am aware of , because the Holy Spirit is my guide ...
But I never go to sleep worrying if I am not saved , for the Holy Spirit tells my spirit that I am Gods daughter...xox...
,,,but you are hear preaching against repenting of sins to get saved.

1 Timothy 4:16 Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.

Those who think Jesus did not call us to follow and obey, to walk in righteousness and good works,
and stay in sin and condemnation, will find their faith was as nothing and there end as evil doers
is exactly as the prophets predicted and declared, the second death.

Those of us who have eternal salvation because we accepted Jesus Christ as our Savior give thanks to God for His infinite mercy and grace given to us as a free gift. Praise God from whom all blessings flow.

The 'not of works' is the works of the law which are the purification works, for which circumcision is the sign.

Just read how Paul starts talking about circumcision in the flesh.

Ephesians 2:11
Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;

We have to come to him and confess our sins and repent of them.

We have to do what he says.

Salvation had not happened when the jailer believed; for if it had, he would not have asked that question he asked, he would have been saved immediately, according to your mistaken beliefs.

Those people had to hear the message. The message is about repenting of your sins to have life.

See Acts 10:44, Acts 11:15, Acts 16: 32 Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his house. 33 At that hour of the night the jailer took them and washed their wounds; then immediately he and all his household were baptized.

Did you hear that?

They had to hear the message that saves and it is the message that says to repent of your sins.

His words tells us WHAT TO DO TO GET SAVED and what to do to STAY SAVED.

John 8:51 I tell you the solemn truth, if anyone obeys my teaching, he will never see death."

If you say/confess with your mouth that Jesus is your Lord, then you had better be obeying him.

Luke 16:46 "Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say?

Matthew 7:21 Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father in heaven.

Read what Paul says about if you say Jesus is your Lord:

2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: “the Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.”

The foundation is repentance of sins.

Believing is a works we have to do, and it is made complete by an action, like confessing your sins with your mouth.

Woe unto those who twist and mess with the Word of God as is written. Those to either add to scripture or subtract or pull out of context.

God gives the gift to His children. You have to become a child of His first by repenting of your sins.

You took out a whole lot of stuff.

What did you do with all those scriptures that tell us to obey and repent of sins to get saved?

You have proven my point above. You desire to take scripture to suit your agenda. There is one way to salvation and your trying to change that way to works will never "work."

No way am I doing that.
Acts 5:32 We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him."

God does give gifts to His children. Your works theme has nothing to do with what God does.
John 14:23 Jesus replied, "Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.

Have you learned yet not to go against the truth and say we don't have to repent of our sins to get saved?
Who has said we dont have to repent to be saved?

That has been the message since the beginning! Repentance means to change ones mind, to turn. This change of mind results in a change of action, naturally, which is called "fruits worthy of repentance" in the Bible. Starting from John the Baptist:

Mat 3:8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:
What happens if they dont? Dont say we got Abraham for our Father, John the Baptist says to the Jews.
Mat 3:10 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
^Thats what happens.

And Paul repeats the same thing after the cross, just throwing that out there:

Act 26:20 But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.

2Co 7:10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

Prophet Isaiah cries out the same message:

Isa 1:16 Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;
Isa 1:17 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.

Jesus moving in with you is about Jesus living in your heart.

Jesus moving in with you is about you becoming his family and friend.

Now read again HOW that will happen.

Did you read it? Did you see it?

Now say it because it is the truth, the light, and the way.

One thing everyone is aware of who knows me is: Im a very very lazy man. I could not possibly look up all the not of works Scriptures. Here is my suggestion:

You do all the work for me, and kindly explain to me in Christian love exactly what works Paul is talking about. Deal? Sounds good to me!
bible software is for lazy people. :) www.e-sword.net Is free but donations appreciated. If you can't? No problem.

That sounds great. You post first all the scriptures that say 'not of works', then I will show you exactly what works Paul is talking about.
Looks like I have to do everything around here, so here are some verses I found quickly on a search:

Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Rom 11:6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

2Ti 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

Rev 17:8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. [This isnt not of works, but it says written in the book of life from the foundation of the world]

Rom 4:2 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.
Rom 4:3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
Rom 4:4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
Rom 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

You have to repent of your sins.
You have to actually confess them with your lips.
