I would say my statement speaks the fact that I give all glory to Jesus and not myself and my self effort, like you trying to follow in the steps of someone who has already accomplished what He came to accomplish

All your posts are about you becoming like Jesus, climbing a stairway to enlightment, perfection

Scripture states otherwise.
New International Version
For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.

Paul, in 1 Corinthians 6:11, states “But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.”

fait accompli
Amen.....any gospel that detracts any Glory from Christ while placing emphasis upon self, works, and or one's deeds or ability to do x, y and or z is not of God!!

when the temple Solomon built was dedicated, the priests could not work.

when they lifted up their voice accompanied by trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and when they praised the LORD saying,He indeed is good for His lovingkindness is everlasting,” then the house, the house of the LORD, was filled with a cloud, so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the LORD filled the house of God.
(2 Chronicles 5:13-14)

Hebrews does indicate that under the new covenant the old priesthood is inferior and done away with because of a better sacrifice and a High Priest with no beginning or ending that ministers eternally within the sancutary/Holiest of holies? And when this happens the Levitical Priesthood and their duties cease on the behalf of men

the Levitical Priest-hood is prophesied in detail in EZ. chapters 40-48.

Christ's sacrifice is not in question - but the ways of God will be shown to the world...

like it is written:
'All nations shall come to The Feast of Tabernacles', and again,
ISA. says, 'I will take Levites from all nations'.

in re: the glory that filled the temple --

He is the radiance of the glory of God
(Hebrews 1:3)

Christ

in re: the priests --

you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession,
that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light
(1 Peter 2:9)

the glory filled the temple when they sang in praise of His goodness and everlasting lovingkindness - and when it did, they could not do the work - what is the work of the priests? _________________:unsure:

seems to me, according to scripture when the glory fills the temple, priests on 'unscheduled break' of indeterminate length

Distraction

When people are busy they do not have time to be distracted.
It is an important issue, stay focused, work, take on things because through them things
change, and you will find what led you astray get overwhelmed by the good one is involved
with. It is like if you spend all your time resisting something, you are feeding it, but if
you spend your time occupied, it is the thing that occupies you that fills your mind.

So much spiritually is feed the Spirit, reap from the Spirit, feed the flesh you reap more
addiction and trouble from the flesh making it harder to walk away and be free.

remember, followingpeterjenstep's does NOT recognize the actual definition of sin.

it is easy to say " I am like Jesus " when you ignore the things that make us not like Jesus.

those of us who live in reality understand what sin really is.

those who live in a fantasy world where they think their emotions and feelings determine reality can make themselves believe whatever they want.
Hi gb9, you are oh so right and Followingpeterjenstep's definition of sin is skewed and misleading for everyone. Consequently his application of "Holiness" is wrong; Holiness is a "once for all occurrence" and a, "life long "pursuit" of the believer." Holiness is not something that supports the heresy of "sinless perfectionism."

Hebrews12:14
Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

Hebrews10:10
10And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all
