One needs to be very careful stating that Grace is a license for immorality

People slandered Paul with the same objection.....

He was not very pleased with them, you know why? I can tell you why.

People who state that grace of God is a license to sin are in essence saying that a person can do bad and good will still come, this is perverted logic and comes from the heart of unbelief, and a desperate attempt to prove self-worthiness.

If God eliminates righteousness in every way as a basis for salvation one argues that it makes no difference how a person lives, but this is a perversion of truth....... to preach grace is not to sanction sin it is to settle one's trust in a Saviour!!!

Paul had stern words for those who preach against the Gospel of Grace............................

Romans 3:8, ESV: "And why not do evil that good may come?—as some people slanderously charge us with saying. Their condemnation is just." ...

Romans 3:8, NLT: "And some people even slander us by claiming that we say, 'The more we sin, the better it is!' Those who say such things deserve to be condemned."
I never stated that " GRACE IS A LICENSE FOR IMMORALITY." Read it again.

Who do you think is it refering to, the OBEDIENT or the DISOBEDIENT?

NIV1984 1 Timothy 6:3-5
If anyone TEACHES FALSE DOCTRINES and DOES NOT AGREE TO THE SOUND INSTRUCTION OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST and to godly teaching, he is conceited and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions and constant friction between men of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain.

Salvation losers <-- God is anything but a loser, unless if the size of god is merely the size of a pencil eraser that will run out in less than a year, or a tiny action figure, too small to worship

Fyi: The "unless" part was sarcastic
Hi anointed,

I read your testimony and it reminds me of many who know the facts, but their heart needs
to reflect the reality. I have found that spiritual life in Christ is a continual set of revelations,
because we are limited and He is infinite. Finding Jesus and walking with Him is life.

What for me is interesting is meeting believers who talk about being in rebellion against the
Lord and love, and have no idea how this is the opposite of our hearts desire, and turns all our
spiritual encounters with Christ as to be nothing.

My latest growth is in purity and resolving ones heart. Those who compromise and do not open
up for His cleansing, can never see God. It does make me wonder at the differing experiences in
Jesus, and the resulting outlooks and compromises. God bless you

Sure we can walk in the Spirit. But as far as sinning goes: Yep - constantly. Daily, weekly, monthly, yearly. Either by thought, word, or deed.
And you know it.
Thought - sin. How is a thought not just a thought, and a thought a sin?
Some thoughts we have a part of our subconscious working through things,
Some thoughts we build on emotions, desires, picture scenarios, and express how we feel.

If thinking itself is sinful, then our whole existence will never find God or purity.
A thought which will lead to sin, is an intentional action thought through which itself would be sinful.
Whether thoughts are sinful is debatable. A thought is an idea, which is just that. The fruit of the idea

14 Each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed.
15 Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.
James 1

Sin is by its nature an action, which has an effect on another. Sins occur because of a deep problem in the heart,
a distortion, a hurt, an unresolved conflict. Sin is ultimately the thing that destroys and leads to death, but
the solution is within the heart. Change the heart, remove the foundations that lead to sin, and you change
our futures and focus. Sin has never been the problem, it is the fruit of the problem, so focusing on sin does
not provide a solution. The solution is communion with God through the cross and Jesus.

So not sinning is not the objective, dwelling in Christ is. The fruit of dwelling in Christ is walking the way.
Whether this is perfect or still struggling does not matter, as persevering and aiming for the goal.
Giving up, and staying as one is, is death itself. It is a denial of the cross and the Holy Spirits ability to change
us into the likeness of Jesus.

So you do agree that the instructions in the 4 Gospels, some don't apply to us today correct?
The gospels are not an instruction manual. What Jesus means and how this is worked out in the believers
life is between each believer and God. We individually can share our understanding in Christ.

So in a sense everything applies to us, but we have to work through how.
The sense I have now is it is so subtle and interwoven, that is the walk, and Gods eternal work speaks in
different ways at different times to all His people.

So taking the rich young man and giving up everything to the poor and coming and following Jesus.
We are not all called to do this, as is shown by the disciples and their different approaches. As the Lord
convicted so people responded, freely and openly. We are though not to be tied to money and possessions,
but rather be good stewards of that which we have.

So I would say I can exclude nothing and equally not be simplistic in how I see its meaning.
Those who think this is a binary situation have not begun to know Jesus.

Find purity and cleansing and your eyes will be opened.

Preaching we are saved no matter how we behave, is a license for immorality.
Paul says we are not under condemnation if we walk in the Spirit.

1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,.....
4 who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the Spirit.
Rom 8

It is simply ignoring the gospel to argue sin is not an indicator of rebellion and unbelief.

Who enjoys sinning? It is the deeds of desperate people who have excuses.
If one says Jesus forgives a sinner while they are sinning is not anywhere in scripture and denies
the very nature of God.

Saying God only sees Jesus and not the sinner, equally denies God sees everything, and blesses the
righteous and condemns the unrepentant sinner.

We are cleansed and forgiven because we repent, and in our sorrow accept Christs forgiveness and
desire to walk righteously. But this walk means change, change in our hearts, change in our direction,
change in our aspirations. Those who refuse to change, to open their hearts, to bow the knee, to humble
themselves, then salvation will mean nothing and they have not overcome anything and the Lord will
not be able to honour promises given to overcomers.

12 Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test,
he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.
James 1

Have we stood the test? Are we more than aspirations but have stepped over into reality?

Paul also called them fools! (Gal 3) of thinking we begin in the spirit (grace) yet are required to perfect it in the flesh (works)
These fools, where going back to Judaism, and trying through the Mosaic law to be justified as religious,
rather than walking in the cross and the acceptance and love that comes through Christ.

They had not grasped it is through transformation and purification of the heart that we see God and know
the Holy Spirit dwelling within us.

Those who are so scared of the tumult within, and rely only on the facts of the gospel, have missed the
power of the cross to address their hearts and being peace and love where there is now tumult.

How can another brother say to his fellow brothers/sisters that they think we think we can sin all we like because we are saved by Gods grace...

No brother or sister saved by Gods grace believes this , only those who CLAIM to be Christians...

Assuming that this is aimed at us who believe that we are kept by the power of the Almighty God , I do not for one minute think these accusations are pleasing to God to accuse a brother or sister off such things...

These snide remarks stick out like a sore thumb , check yourself , and see if it is yous that are in the faith...

It is the power of God who keeps us , it all of Jesus , nothing of ourselves...

Just get fed up with the on going onslaught saying , just because we believe in the Salvation of Christ that gives us eternal life , does not mean we take Gods grace lightly , far from it...xox...

I like how you left out the word GRACE.......Hmm:unsure:
I like how you left out the point being made.
I remember this feeling of being who I was, and putting things in place around me, assured me of
security and safety. One can put anything here, faith, works, wealth, knowledge, family, group, country....

The key idea is we are static, but we accumulate these strategies.

Jesus says you must be born again from on High. Start life anew, rebuild everything from the bottom
up in the Kingdom and His ways. Nothing can be assumed, everything must come before the throne.

This is the gospel, leaving the world behind and moving forward in the things of God.
Some think this is works, but it is becoming someone new, different, being transformed, having everything
changed. No wonder a hard heart which stop Gods word changing us, being soft and pliable, simply does
not work. As Paul said

11 We have spoken freely to you, Corinthians, and opened wide our hearts to you.
12 We are not withholding our affection from you, but you are withholding yours from us.
13 As a fair exchange--I speak as to my children--open wide your hearts also.
2 Cor 6

Hasn’t anyone noticed? We are all sinners – even all we religious.

People who think they do not sin are the one's that defame Grace.

The issue of sin was settled at Calvary.....so do not confuse a Son issue with a sin issue.

We are not all sinners, some are saints. Do you not know the difference, because it appears you
call all sinners.

Paul says this

1 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above,
where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.
2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.
4 When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
5 Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality,
impurity, lust, evil desires and greed
, which is idolatry.
6 Because of these, the wrath of God is coming.
7 You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived.
Col 3

It strikes me from how you talk, you have not stopped walking in these ways of the world.

10 And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and
may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God,
11 being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you
may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully
12 giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.
13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves,
14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
Col 1

10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: "Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.
11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.

No one is without sin except Jesus.

A saint is a saint because of the work of Jesus and never, ever because of anything they do except believe what He did is true.

I believe that

If the Bible never mentioned about the narrow gate, we would never know about it

No philosophy, no human reasoning can ever find out

And I have doubts that just the process of elimination alone from human beings can ever find the narrow gate
The Narrow Gate is Christ Jesus! :)

AMEN...the only false argument they have...they for sure have no argument that stands up to the word so all they can do is build that straw man.......I can see where it started....some false preacher that believes salvation can be lost like a dime in the park stood behind a pulpit somewhere in some legalistic false church that enslaves it's membership and boldly claimed that those who believe in eternal security believe they can sin like the devil, do as they please and live anyway they want to live.......and their version of grace is a license to SINNNNNNNNNNNN...and then when the crickets chipred he said...can I have an AMENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

For the salvation losers and those that devalue JESUS by your false dogma....

The following is a comparison between the bible and salvation losers......and make no mistake...this is exactly what they peddle and or how they butcher the word of God by their losable salvation....

Bible --> I will never leave thee or forsake thee
Salvation Losers ---->Jesus is a liar and will leave us and forsake us

Bible --->We are saved to the uttermost and kept by the power of God through faith
Salvation losers --->The power of God is weak and inept, we are not saved to the uttermost and GOD does not keep us

Bible -->Jesus begins, finishes and completes the work of faith in us
Salvation losers ---> WE must maintain our faith because JESUS does not finish and complete the work of faith in us

Bible --> He that believes on the SON is having everlasting/eternal life
Salvation losers --->He that believes and MAINTAINS his belief on the SON is having temporal life based upon what he does or does not do

Bible --> Therefore we conclude a man is justified by faith without the deeds/works of the law
Salvation losers -->James out of context tells us we are justified by our works before God

Bible -->It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe
Salvation losers --->It pleased God by works, church membership, baptism, pew jumping, speaking in tongues, back flipping down the isle, saying 57 hail Mary's, taking the Lord's supper, keeping the sacraments and a dozen other religiously zealous man made efforts to save them

Bible -->NOTHING can separate us from the love of GOD
Salvation losers -->Numerous things can separate us from the love of GOD

Bible--->We are in the Son's hand, the Father's hand and NO AN can remove us from that position
Salvation losers -->The above is false, we can remove ourselves because God is weak and inept

Bible -->We are sealed unto the day of redemption
Salvation losers-->The seal of God can be broken because God is weak and inept

Bible --->
Where sin abounds, grace abounds the more
Salvation losers--> We qualify, quantify sin and God's grace only covers those small sins when we mess up and for sure we have never lost it, but eternal security believers lose it because they believe they can live any way they want and live like the devil

Bible --->He that believes on the Son is not condemned
Salvation losers --> Believers are condemned all the time and returned to being goats after becoming sheep

Bible --> I will lose nothing, but raise it up the last day
Salvation losers -->God loses people all the time because he is too weak to keep them saved

Bible--> We are born again from above by INCORRUPTIBLE SEED
Salvation losers --> We are not born of incorruptible seed, because that seed can be corrupted and one die lost after being born again

Bible --> The gifts and calling of God are irrevocable
Salvation losers -->God's free GIFT of salvation can be revoked because GOD will break ALL the above promises and send one to hell after being saved

ETC.............I dare to say that salvation losers are false.....and what they peddle is not of GOD and as blasphemous as it comes......the above is a SMALL sample of scriptural promises that MUST BE DENIED, REJECTED and or SWEPT UNDER THE TABLE to peddle a dime store salvation that cannot be found in the bible and or a dime store salvation that devalues the work, promises and ministry of CHRIST!!!!!!!
