Does God help us rely on God?

Of course HE does:

James 4:2-3 (HCSB)
2 You desire and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. You do not have because you do not ask.
3 You ask and don’t receive because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your evil desires.

How would you get over the motive of wanting to see other person's head smoke?

YOU HAVE TO ERNESTLY PRAY FOR IT.

Remember, WRONG MOTIVES EQUALS UNANSWERED PRAYERS.

Remember this:

Proverbs 15:29 (GW)
29 The LORD is far from wicked people, but he hears the prayers of righteous people.

1 Peter 3:12 (ESV)
12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”

Now let me ask you something. Do you know that if you want to destroy an enemy, the easiest way to do it, is to PRAY THAT HE WILL BECOME A SERIOUS CHRISTIAN? That way you will make him your Friend. Have you ever prayed for your Enemies to become Born Again Christians?

One other thing you should meditate on for a long time.

This World is only Temporary, and soon it will be over. In Ecclesiastes the term "Vanity, all is Vanity!", is a references to the Brevity of this life on this earth. It is after we are RESURRECTED, that we will NEVER DIE. Why don't you focus your attention on the Next world for the Believer, instead of constantly being fixated on this life that is temporal.

I hope you will take my Suggestion above, and this suggestion, which is to study the BOOK of JOB, from beginning to the end. You may find out that JOB's life was far worse than your own, and JOB refused to "curse GOD and die", as his wife wanted him to. Perhaps when you are through studying JOB, you can call JOB, a dear Friend.

I can start by realizing that I need forgiveness for doubting the possibility that others can be saved,

and that I should not be swayed by circumstances that easily

For prayers

Yes no or wait

As long as there hasn't been a yes, wait or no remains

So just wait?

What would it be like if the garden of Eden is restored?

And I know very little about the book of revelation

Would you be able to share verses about heaven from the book of revelation? I don't get any of the symbolism

Here is a verse that may help you immensely.

James 4:7 (HCSB)
7 Therefore, submit to God. But resist the Devil, and he will flee from you.
is it true that sincerity for God is still possible no matter how "opposite of godly sincerity" we may feel?

This is so true. Life truly IS short. I know when you're growing up it feels like life lasts forever and time goes slow but TRUST ME, the decades go like the wind.

I would also like to add: Dont think of life being short or vanity as a negative thing, but as a positive.

For example when I was in isolation and life REALLY sucked and was awful and I was jealous of all the other people who 'had it good(or better)' I thought to myself: "This too, shall pass, I wont even remember this."

Some people take life so seriously and spend their entire life building an empire of wealth, only to die and its all gone, cant take nothing with you.
Its great and comforting to keep in mind that 1. all happens for a reason 2. nothing here lasts forever and 3. there is BETTER things coming for those in Christ, and these things are EVERLASTING.

I think you may get to see it for REAL, because that is how I envision the Thousand Year Kingdom. We will be in our glorified eternal bodies, reigning as Priests (TEACHERS) of the TEMPLE, as we teach the Children of the 144,000. They will live in that PERFECT ENVIRONMENT, and they will be tempted to take it all granted. WE WILL HAVE OUR HANDS FULL when those kids do not want to take everything the LORD has provided, with sincere appreciation. Many of those Mortals, will want to join Satan's Rebellion in the end of the Millennium.

Our dwelling place will be in the New City Jerusalem, and our work place will be in the TEMPLE here on earth. I sure hope the Jacob's Ladder is a rapid transit escalator.

I think it was probably God who showed me this: If we don't feel like giving thanks, at the very least, we can always focus on Phil 4:8, and Jesus is in Phil 4:8

Phil 4:8 is something we can be thankful for, or at least, something to meditate

seems like this is how 1 Cor 10:13 works, so we don't get stuck for too long

or how "for when I am weak then I'm strong" works

Hope those futuristic kids you talk about would listen

Does twinkling of an eye mean, ...

... so quick, no worries of being tempted to look down during the rapture?

Perhaps we can escape physical death, and the dying process, that is probably the best way to go, being raptured to heaven, probably better than our wildest dreams or dreams of flying

Sounds exciting

Now I can look back and cannot understand How I got so old so fast, I am 70. The Last three years have not been kind to me, as I have had 7 strokes in the last three years, 2 major strokes and 5 minor strokes. Waiting for the Big One, so I can go home, but still busy serving the Lord. Actually, I thing Posting Here is part of the reason why HE wants me here. You know that you are getting old when these verses Makes PERFECT SENSE TO YOU:

2 Corinthians 5:6-9 (NASB)
6 Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord—
7 for we walk by faith, not by sight—
8 we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord.
9 Therefore we also have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him.

Then I'm still young because I don't understand, absent from Lord, or ambition with absence, the word absent makes it hard to understand

That is a Hebrew Expression, for such a minute Particle of a SECOND, that it cannot be Measured.

That Event, called the Rapture, happens SO FAST that it cannot be Measured.

1 Corinthians 15:51-54 (ASV)
51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We all shall not sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 But when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

The SECOND COMING, to set up HIS Thousand Year KINGDOM, happens SO SLOW and ALL the World's Armies have time to gather together in the Valley of Megiddo; and the ARMIES KNOW THEY ARE TRYING TO STOP CHRIST FROM COMING BACK.

Revelation 19:11-21 (ASV)
11 And I saw the heaven opened; and behold, a white horse, and he that sat thereon called Faithful and True; and in righteous he doth judge and make war.
12 And his eyes are a flame of fire, and upon his head are many diadems; and he hath a name written which no one knoweth but he himself.
13 And he is arrayed in a garment sprinkled with blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
14 And the armies which are in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and pure.
15 And out of his mouth proceedeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness of the wrath of God, the Almighty.
16 And he hath on his garment and on his thigh a name written, KINGS OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in mid heaven, Come and be gathered together unto the great supper of God;
18 that ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses and of them that sit thereon, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, and small and great.
19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat upon the horse, and against his army.
20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought the signs in his sight, wherewith he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast and them that worshipped his image: they two were cast alive into the lake of fire that burneth with brimstone:
21 and the rest were killed with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, even the sword which came forth out of his mouth: and all the birds were filled with their flesh.
