It is funny, dc realised he was wrong about the vine and branches and scrubbed the whole posting.

Some groups believe no branches are cut off the vine, just tied up and will have fruit later, except this
is not what the parable says, so is just rewriting scripture.

And the lesson is simple dc does not have Jesus's words dwelling in His heart, because the meaning is simple.

Abide, fruit, will be refined, no fruit, cut off.
Do not abide, die, thrown in the fire.

Abiding in the vine is such a central theme in Jesus, any serious believer would know these realities.
Abiding by Him (Jesus) is what the bible teaches.

Why do you leave the last part?
Eph 2:8For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9not by works, so that no one can boast. 10For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life.
Please no hypocritical games....

I have posted many verses in context where you cherry pick one at a time and never address anything.

You still haven't answered my question from a week ago and I've asked four times.

Please before you point your finger again look in the mirror.

Also you are the one claiming to know things not found in scripture, show me where salvation is called a reward please.

Do you know why we are made new? The gift of salvation is His love for us, and the gifts of the Holy spirit and new heart and new affections are for His love for others and righteousness.

Of course we are bought with a price, for a purpose but we are His and will in no wise be cast out.

You have yet to rebuttle any reproof with anything outside of cherry picked verses with no understanding of what they mean and your own thoughts and opinions....

You better learn to trust in Jesus instead of yourself and your own understanding.

In God's inspired written Word He has left instructions for the decieved, encouragement for His children, and many verses for reproof so that we can be more effective seeing His will in greater detail.

Ultimately, with the scriptures in context.... we are indeed saved by Jesus and not of ourselves.
If you already have eternal life, you don't need any encouragement, you already have it, right?
You don't need anything else.

So what.......

For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.
So, because you quoted something else
You see nothing and your allegation was idiotic...........and lie you said above....you really don't know anything....
So you lie too, saying I know nothing. Compared with what Jesus did with the law, Moses was easy. Jesus proved it could be done

There is not contradiction on saying that we are not saved because of what we do, and at the same time saying that we need to work out our salvation.

It is like this: there is a person who has a weakness about the sex. That person can fall on his weakness and try to keep fighting against its weakness (again and again and again) because he knows that he can do it because of Jesus' blood, so he start again to fight ... eventually he can get stronger on his fight and does not fall any more. Those are the works. The falling is not condemning him, but his efforts are helping him to achieve the real status of someone who pursues santity.
Eli, I think you are speaking of the walk of faith. It is our salvation already given, not being attained that we begin the victorious walk of the spiritual man/woman.

We speak what God says about situations and trials of life, rather than out of old thought processes of the fallen adamic nature. And I agree, this is working out our salvation. This has to do with the soulish part of our being, not our spirit. Our spirit is sealed when born from above. Our salvation as our entrance into the presence of Father is assured because of the blood sacrifice of the Son. But, our soul needs to become one with our Spirit.

Out of our new nature we will also do good works. I believe forgiveness has a lot to do with some works for we will be tried in our life many times by spirits working in others for our hurt.

This is two separate topics though. This particular thread is about the Cross and it’s work of salvation which is received by faith alone. But in working out salvation, faith will be accompanied by the Word. Spirit and Word together at work.

Does this help?

Only a heart which is not of God would think that way.

God's children are made new and want to work out of love for Him who loved them first.

If you continue to play games and not reply to any of my questions in your lack of care or love for your neighbor I'll have to knock the dust off my shoes.

Are we saved by grace?

Where does the bible call salvation a reward like you claimed?

Why do you ignore when I post verses and chapters in context?

Nobody leaves it off GENIUS>....SAVED for not BY.....you are such a deceiver
What is being deceived here? Deception is only possible if it is happening. You cannot deceive while
writing all the words being talked about. You can miss-interpret or add ones own meaning but that
is subjective and a legitimate position to take. If one was changing scripture, and not declaring it,
that could be called deception.

I suggest you want to say here is a deceiver, whether caught or not, they intend to deceive.
This is just slander, and shows serious frustration and antagonism, possibly because one is losing
the argument. It is probably so as more and more desperate statements are being made.
I wonder at what point things crack, and a change happens? I hope and pray this takes place, because
resisting the truth is always harder than just accepting God and bowing the knee in repentance and
faith. God bless you.

So What??? Really
Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Romans 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
Romans 10:15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
Romans 10:16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

I just sampled one of the verses you quoted and showed how you ignore certain bits so that you can go back and read the rest in context.

Matt 19:28Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, in the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on His glorious throne, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 29And everyone who has left houses orbrothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or fields for the sake of My name will receive a hundredfold and will inherit eternal life.30But many who are first will be last, and the last will be first.

Jesus seem to suggest, eternal life is a reward here.

I am quaking in my boots, the dust is being knocked off their shoes.
Ironic as we are all saved having repented and come to faith in Christ.
How does it work if they knock the dust off their shoes against a saved Child of God?
Nothing? Or they lose their salvation.... opppppps not possible.

Or is this really saying, you sinner, how dare you reject my gospel, I will reject you and likewise so will God.
That is actually where this comes from.

14 If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that home or town.
15 I tell you the truth, it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town.
Matt 10

So this is not a loving child of God sharing with another in Christ, no it is actually something quite
different. And I thought they are all smiles and welcome into the Kingdom, God does everything
you just rest. Maybe not.

Your point is MOOT...........and your conflated dogma = ignorance of context and truth
Not my point, God's point.

John 15:1I am the true vine, and My Father is the keeper of the vineyard. 2He cuts off every branch in Me that bears no fruit, and every branch that does bear fruit, He prunes to make it even more fruitful. 3You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. 4Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. Just as no branch can bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in Me.

You've answered nothing and again ignore scripture and lean on your opinions.😔

Just the last page alone has everything you would need to see your error.

I pray God opens your eyes and you turn from your false doctrines of man.

I can't even imagine living in this world with out the Lord and the gift of repentance and forgiveness through His blood every day. How souls made it through life with out being able to drop down and pray for forgiveness and to carry that along with them all year is beyond me. And then to remember it all. I would just die. THANK YOU GOD for the life after Christ with the Comforter. I feel it everyday.

11 And this is the testimony: that God has given to us eternal life, and this the life is in His Son. 12 The one having the Son has the life; the one not having the Son of God does not have the life.

23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men,
24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
Col 3

7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
8 Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day--and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
2 Tim 4

Salvation in bodily form is the reward for faith and finishing the race, Halleluyah.
