This question is the legalistic question, which they feel frees them from sin.
John says we sin because we are sinners, but if we abide in Him we will walk in love.

There is no fear in this walk because we abide in God, so why is there this strange new
theology about not being aware of sin, as if this is anything other than hypocracy.

What sin are these sinners bound by that guilt drives them to denial of victory?

And if they have victory why are they condemning so much believers to hell.
Maybe they never met the Lord before and truly were just religious.

All I ask is if the fruit of their new faith is to war with believers, what kind of faith
are they part of? The righteous walk righteously, yet this very idea gets a bad response.
So in truth they condemn scripture in their enthusiasm, which is not a good thing.
No, it is a very valid question to one who pushes and espouses a lying, sinless perfectionist dogma and a working for salvation.....he has still failed to answer.....

Let us try again.....SPONGEBOB....Do you 100% of the time, 24/7/365 days of the year keep every commandment of God while not sinning....YES OR NO.......????

He watched Stephen being stoned and while it doe snot say, he probably ordered the stoning.
He consented to his death......the word is clear, not to mention the murderous threats of Acts 9:1

consent
kənˈsɛnt/Submit
verb
past tense: consented; past participle: consented
give permission for something to happen.

Paul had blood on his hands, but never killed anyone, and he never admitted it .. he was the leader of the persecutions. He had Roman soldiers with him to either arrest, or kill them..the soldiers were with him when Jesus knocked him from his horse and blinded him, because they heard the voice, but saw no one. those that were arrested was later killed by the Roman Government.

I have heard it said that King Saul was The Apostle Paul's great granddaddy, or some such thing. Not sure if it is true or not.

Yeah, don't know...both were from the tribe Benjamin, but he would have to be more than a Great granddaddy.....Saul was King aroind 1052 B.C. and obviously Paul was alive 1st Century A.D. ;)

Good Morning Vietnam!!...

Oh. Mistake. This is a Christian Forum!!
Silly me.

I forgot.

WHY am I a liar just because I don't agree with you?

Could you explain that one to me again.

Thanks.

P.S. The fact that you're a soldier, does that have anythng to do with why you use derogatory terms all the time?
You consistently accuse those who believe in eternal salvation by grace dia faith of saying we do not have to do anything for God...that is how you lie Fran....

You're talking about me here.
You just can't stop.
And that's with the Holy Spirit helping you along!

1. Those who believe as I do are ignorant.

2. I reject the grace of God.

3. I believe in a false gospel.

4. It ends by my going to hell.

5. I boast about my works.

You're a good Christian Dcon.
Just keep spreading that love around.
It proves to everyone what a great guy you are.

If you were NOT Christian, you shouldn't behave this way.
Maybe another read of Mathew 5 is in order?
You assume much and spread the vitriol as much as any Fran....play innocent if you choose....many have seen it and call you out on it...I WILL continue to hammer your false gospel just as Jesus, John, Elijah and Paul did the false teachers of their day.....

This works religion is lethal to the mind of a believer. Those who believe they can mess up enough so they can no longer be loved by God are in a real jam. To them I say., YOU must live your Christian life just the same way you got saved.... by grace through faith.

And yes., it is possible to be saved and walk according to your flesh. Yes., it's possible to listen to the promptings of your old mind and heart habits and not the Holy Spirit who is longing to show you a new and living Way. Thousands of Christians are doing it every day and know NO different because no one has been able to teach them any different. SOOO SAD and tragic because it doesn't have to be!!!!!

But what is happening these days is the Holy Spirit is moving in the lives of believers and the gospel of grace and truth is being spread among Christians so that they live their lives the way they were saved into eternal life. These are the joyful ones. The ones who have seen and tasted that the Lord is good. They have begun to know about His grace. They know they are not able to be good enough to do anything of value for the kingdom of God.

They have learned that only the Holy Spirit living in and through them can cause FRUIT to grow in their lives. No amount of self sacrifice or hard work can manifest the Holy Spirit in our lives.

The gift is free and can't be bought. Or Jesus would not have suffered and died at all.
Amen to this......

If the person's work is hay and stubble and gets burnt up, but their foundation is Christ Jesus...will they be saved from the fire or not?
Paul was clear..they will be saved, jjst like the Corinthian brother committing fornication was, just like ALL WHO HAVE ACTUALLY TRUSTED JESUS WILL BE......

So I think I understand the accusation. If I hold to sinless perfection, I am lying.
And I do not hold to sinless perfection, I hold to the ability to walk righteously, with the ability
to sin, but it is your choice in response to sin. And if you do stumble, you can repent, confess
and get right with God and walk on. I would call this walking in Holiness and purity.

I would like to bring you to look at 2 John 1:8-11

Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked for
, but that you may be rewarded fully.
Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son.
If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take them into your house or welcome them.
Anyone who welcomes them shares in their wicked work.

Now what is John so definitive about that you can fall away from and become a wicked work.

I ask that we love one another.
And this is love: that
we walk in obedience to his commands.
2 John 1:5-6

Now I am commanded to firstly, love which means walk in obedience to the commands
of Christ, and secondly to have nothing to do with those who do not bring this teaching.

John is saying such people are doing a wicked work.
Worse still he says they are.

Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist
1 John 2:7

So this should be a warning to those who so easily depart from the teaching of Christ.
Not only can you fall away from God you can become a deceiver and an antichrist.

He will be out to incriminate you.

2 John is a wonderful little book that speaks of the security of the believer in Christ.

Here John is saying that the truth will be in you forever. Jesus is the Truth. The Spirit of God is called the Spirit of Truth and Grace.

Paul says in Eph. 1:13 after hearing of Christ - we believed and were sealed with the Holy Spirit. Jesus said the Holy Spirit will be in us forever. Jesus is NOT a liar.

2 John 1:1-2 (NASB)
[SUP]1 [/SUP] The elder to the chosen lady and her children, whom I love in truth; and not only I, but also all who know the truth,

[SUP]2 [/SUP] for the sake of the truth which abides in us and will be with us forever:

2 John 1:9 (NASB)
[SUP]9 [/SUP] Anyone who goes too far and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God; the one who abides in the teaching, he has both the Father and the Son.

Works-based/ works-righteousness believers that deny the work of Christ are actually the very ones that are not abiding in "the teaching of Christ."

"Abiding in the teaching of Christ" is believing in the finished work of Christ only for salvation and living which all grace teachers encourage us to do.

Jesus said that He lived by the Father inside of Him. He said that it is the Father inside Him who is doing His works - not Jesus. He could do nothing of His own initiative.

As Jesus lived by the life of the Father in Him - with total dependence on His life - so we too live by the life of Christ inside of us manifesting His life as a fruit of our union as one spirit with Christ. We too can do nothing without Christ.

We live now from the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus, the law of love, the law of liberty in Christ, the law of faith ( the law is NOT of faith ) , the law of Christ Himself.

Preach and teach the love and grace of God in the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and Christians will have the proper nutrients to grow up in Him.

Some people have exchanged the life of Christ for a behavior modification program and thus nullify the very grace of God needed to walk in this world what the Lord has already done at the cross and resurrection.
