I agree he went to Abraham's bosom for sure no doubt but Jesus went to a place where he felt the pain and suffering and this is what the KJV calls hell... I don't know what modern translation call it, maybe Hades.

Point is that Jesus went to paradise in the center of the earth, he went to a place of torment in the center of the earth also. I believe that the two together are called hell in the KJV. It is the abode of the dead... until Christ came all the dead went there. But when Christ rose from the dead they rose with him and he took them to heaven with him at the ascension. And when we die we don't go to Abraham's bosom, we go to heaven with the Lord and all the Old Testament saints.

So from that time forward, hell is ONLY a place of torment and suffering, there is no longer any people in Abraham's bosom.
So yall agree? its just a matter of words.

What did Jesus do in the place of torment? To preach to the spirits in prison as it says in Peter's letter?

Mr KJV do you agree we are secure in Christ, meaning salvation cannot be lost or forfeited.... I have not read you stance on this on the discussion board so I am curious because of what you stated in the above post?

I don’t know why he went there, it was for the Old Testament folks is all I know. I don’t think the Bible says whether or not he ministered to them.

The only thing we know for sure is that he ministered to those in Abraham’s bosom, those that died before the flood, which doesn’t include the Old Testament saints... they were already Christians anyway, just waiting for Christ to bring them their inheritance.

What about in Luke 16 Abraham's bosom? Didnt Jesus go there and take the OT saints with Him? I believe thats the 'hell' 'hades' or whatever Jesus was in. THAT SECTION!
How can be a section if there is impassable chasm... that to me does not speak of two sections?

I certainly do. We don’t have to do anything to get, keep or maintain our salvation.

It really doesn’t matter what he says, because I stated dozens of times that we are saved and kept by grace alone, and then was accused of saying the opposite afterwards. By numerous people. So no matter how he answers, it doesn’t matter. THE label will be put on him no matter what he says

I just reported him for lying and embellishing what I said and saying I said something I did not say....says alot about his character

the chasm is as wide as unredeemed mans seperation from God. That is an impassible chasm apart from Grace, and neither grace nor redemption is available to the wicked dead
