Now think of a real contradiction. Love and purity in Christ, and going to hell
because you experience it.

On this basis Jesus would be in hell so it must be a lie.
Hell is because of sin, nothing else.

The logic of this statement is Jesus is not calling us to be righteous.
But in other words Jesus is saying we stay in our sins?

If we are not Holy and pure, what hope is there for us? Isaiah was purified,
and so are we. How is it believers cannot see the power of the cross yet claim
it is everything, then deny its real victory.

The walk, putting on the new self is a work of grace, and a choice.
Legalism comes from a lack of the Holy Spirit not believing in righteousness.
No, actually the logic of my post is 100% scriptural truth...nothing I said was false or contrary...everytime you post you prove your own blindness and lack of understanding!

How can you possibly get that from what dcon wrote?

That's why the sky is blue...

There is something drastically wrong in Denmark as the saying goes...

Things we see that make us go...

Your posts reek of the above described blindness....sinless perfectionism and works for....easily proven lies....maybe you should take your own advice.......The WORD escapes your ability to logically and deductively reason.......

Noticed you didn't reason with him..... instead you judged & insulted him...... what you usually do.

Plenteous in number will be the amount that attempts this door that leads to hell......they boast in works and self while claiming to know Jesus.......sounds familiar.....as in the workers for and sinless perfectionists......
1. I don't boast in works nor self.

2. I do know Jesus.

3. I don't believe in sinless perfectionism.

But I do believe you are a judge that's not led of the Spirit because you got it all wrong while acting like you know something.

Your fruit tells on you, Mister Know-It-All.

The law is also for the LAWLESS..........and those who have trusted Christ BIBLICALLY ARE NO LONGER UNDER THE CONDEMNATION OF THE LAW because the righteousness of CHRIST WITHOUT THE LAW HAS BEEN IMPUTED UNTO THOSE WHO BELIEVE dia the blood and faith!
Those who don't walk in obedience to the law of Christ will be condemned by it.

Ok guys. Just saying I have the scripture is not presenting anything, it is
abdication of position.

Paul declares in Philippians he is not yet perfect, but this is his goal.
It is this one reality all believers need to have. We walk in purity and
holiness, knowing not our success or failure in the future, but striding
boldly forward in the Spirit knowing if we fail we can repent.

Paul was deeply wounded by brothers who fell away and lived like the
world, yet claimed the same authority as himself.

Boasting of going places, of thing achieved is a classic worldly focus.
It is our love and our works in Christ that should be our glory, the glory
He works in our hearts.

Mockery is just that, but adds nothing of value. :(
Sadly how can one call a mocker of Christs ways a brother?

DivisionLooking at how the arguments have progressed it is obvious what kind of purity one groupwant. Purity from legalism. The problem is to achieve this they throw out anyone who usesparticular words or beliefs. One is security. Without security described their way, one lives in fear of rejection by Christdaily. But our security is in Christ. The real fear is that we might lose sight of Christ and followthe world and safety. This fear of trying to prove something to Christ shows they do not appreciate what Christ hastruly done and said. What brought it home to me is to ask who would you die for? Not as a jokebut for real. And how much effort do you put in for the benefit of others?Jesus did everything, there was nothing more He could do. He has opened His heart and life, and calls us to do likewise with total abandon. Paul calls this a living sacrifice. Now how oftendo you here this being preached? Or even shared? Now those who oppose Gods word would want to divide us and separate one from anotheron things not of Christ. What drives them is hatred of the label "legalism" and any they labellike this will receive the vitriol of hell, as if some horrendous sin has been commited and somedeep hidden evil is present. They have become destroyers in the pride of their status, whichis fruit enough to demonstrate their error.

The weird thing is this accusation one is working for salvation.

The language of Jesus would be are you following Him.
If you are not following and obeying you do not know Him.

A wise man follows Jesus's words, places them in his heart.
So how much of Christs words abide in you?
Do you contemplate on what He means and how He means it?

Gods wisdom delivered to Israel in 1400BC, 3,400 years ago still speaks to us today.
How can this be? Because it has always been about relationship, one with another and
with God.

And our emotions and our hearts are wrapped up in it all. Every emotion has a reason and
sometimes we need to escape, to be relaxed, unpressured, to rejoice and rest in our King.

Today in the west with so little trauma and stress people make their own enjoyment their
king. The idea of sacrificing anything or suffering is the opposite of their ideal. Coveting
your neighbours anything is the real emotional reality.

here is the thing peter, emotions do NOT determine reality. facts do. when one reads the bible, they should accept it's truth based on the fact that it is true, not based on how one " feels " about.

I am trying to grasp your angle on life. You feel the bible tells you, you eternally fail, so take
this as the eternal decree of scripture. You are like the nihilist who lets cynicism deny God loves
them and there is such a thing as love, so lose all meaning in life.

As a truth seeker, if you believe pure legalism and nothing can ultimately be safe and are always
looking to condemn yourself like the asthetics, you will never find peace.

Your angle on me is I am deluded to believe God loves me and has forgiven me even though I do not
meet your hyper legalist definition of sin. The west has developed this cynicism unto death. Listen to
the language. Oh the big sins you meet but daily life sins you fail in. Because the sins are not listed the
sins one is really talking about, the situations one means, one generates a sense of condemnation
and blind agreement.

Our focus needs to be on love and good works. Sin is something that has been washed and cleansed.
But it appears not for you and is your continual fixation. Why is that?

The cross has forgiven you, not in a factual distant way, but emotionally, in your heart, up close and
personal, so you eat Christs flesh and drink His blood. Jesus is bringing home its closeness and brutality.

These are the facts, and this changes us at every level. He is our friend, and our Lord.
Why do you deny His victory in your life and stay tied to your legalistic, cynical outlook?

You're jumping to false conclusions based upon your preconceived notions of Dcon position.

He agrees that the Holy Spirit leads people to godliness. His statement was to remind people to fall upon God's grace and forgiveness when we are convicted of our sins.

I don't know why your "logic" led you to your false conclusion.

Hi gb9,

I thought about talking to Peter but it seems like a waste of time today.

Personally I dont think you have a "legalistic cynical outlook".

I agree that we should seek God's reality and truth about scripture. Our emotions just reflect the state our hearts are currently in. They are constantly changing, but God's truths are eternal.

However we can only pray for folks who think making a straw man of God is acceptable practice.

God isn't a straw man. A creation of our mind. Neither is the world God created dependent on our feelings.

God is real. The world separate from our minds and emotions are real.

We need to tear down any spiritual strongholds any false belief any strawmen that war against the knowledge of God.

Anyway. I think I will just say a prayer today and go about life.

Dear Heavenly Father:

We thank you for today. We thank you for allowing us to pray both privately and publically without shame or rebuke from You, because you love to hear from Your children. God we know we see the world through the filters of our past experiences. Remove from our sight any lies or deceptions that blind us from Your truth O Lord. Help us God renew our minds to Your will and learn Your wisdom. Give us hearts overflowing with Your love. Tame our tongues to Your service. Help us O God to speak life giving water instead of death causing curses.

God you have given us so much already. Help us remember and thank you with joyful hearts your many blessings. Teach us to be content and find peace in whatever situation you have blessed us with be it rich or poor, married or single. Help us forgive others as you have forgive us. Heal us in mind, body and soul to be sanctified into the good works that you have prepared for Your Glory O Lord. Thank you Lord for this day. May we use it for your service. Amen.
