here is the thing peter, emotions do NOT determine reality. facts do. when one reads the bible, they should accept it's truth based on the fact that it is true, not based on how one " feels " about.
here is the thing gb9, emotions determine how we process reality.
I am trying to grasp your angle on life. You feel the bible tells you, you eternally fail, so take
this as the eternal decree of scripture. You are like the nihilist who lets cynicism deny God loves
them and there is such a thing as love, so lose all meaning in life.
As a truth seeker, if you believe pure legalism and nothing can ultimately be safe and are always
looking to condemn yourself like the asthetics, you will never find peace.
Your angle on me is I am deluded to believe God loves me and has forgiven me even though I do not
meet your hyper legalist definition of sin. The west has developed this cynicism unto death. Listen to
the language. Oh the big sins you meet but daily life sins you fail in. Because the sins are not listed the
sins one is really talking about, the situations one means, one generates a sense of condemnation
and blind agreement.
Our focus needs to be on love and good works. Sin is something that has been washed and cleansed.
But it appears not for you and is your continual fixation. Why is that?
The cross has forgiven you, not in a factual distant way, but emotionally, in your heart, up close and
personal, so you eat Christs flesh and drink His blood. Jesus is bringing home its closeness and brutality.
These are the facts, and this changes us at every level. He is our friend, and our Lord.
Why do you deny His victory in your life and stay tied to your legalistic, cynical outlook?
