John 5:24
Truly, truly, I say to you , he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has PASSED out of death INTO eternal life.

John 6:47
Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes HAS eternal life.

Not at all. Jesus told us this would happen. That those who teach the Truth would be mocked and persecuted.

I count myself in good company with the Prophets, Apostles, and Jesus, Himself. :)
If you were telling the Truth you would be proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ, that everyone who has faith in Him is saved by grace through faith. But alas, dear Horacio, you place stumbling blocks in front of everyone. Whoa to you.

that has got me banned from 3 other "Christian" Forums have always come from a woman for some reason.
Take notice everyone of how he justifies his heresy and chauvinism by placing quotes around the word Christian and blaming women for his demise. Crafty, but not too bright.

There are four scriptures in the Bible that have had a profound effect on me, allowing me to see the gospel clearly and bringing overwhelming joy, love, peace and strength into my life. John 5:24 is one of those four verses.

Yeah because i used to know something (OSAS), it's not palatable anymore, a lie that's worse than nothing.
Make no mistake pal, you never understood eternal security and or salvation....and by what you peddle now.....it is obvious to all that you still do not know what you are talking about! Just another one in a long list of tbose that devalue Christ while butchering the word of God!

As Jesus often did, I will answer a foolish question with a question of my own...

Can a person who is "saved" yet does not repent and walk worthy inherit the Kingdom?
No, a person who is “saved” cannot inherent the Kingdom. But a person who is SAVED by grace through faith does inherit the Kingdom. You see what happens when you remove the quotes from the word saved? Rhetorical question.

I am always amazed at the many....the plenteous in number that gets cast.....they called Jesus Lord twice......fully expected to enter the kindgom and 100% believed that the right to enter was not only based upon the LORD, BUT ALSO their MANY WONDERFUL WORKS IN THE NAME OF JESUS <---ALMOST ALL so called CHRISTIAN religions believe this in some form or fashion....JESUS said the NUMBER WAS MANY and this is exactly why......!! Add anything that you do to faith for salvation, or to keep maintain salvation = the many!!
You know it’s both funny and sad, and actually it’s also quite annoying that these worker bee salvationists and perfectionists always look down their collective noses at OSAS believers.

Their arrogance is so thick they actually believe we don’t repent and do good works to the glory of God. The difference is obviously, we do good works out of love for God and neighbor, not to maintain our salvation.

My view is that this OSAS vs non-OSAS nonsense is just like the baptism debate, its a SELF-INFLICTED wound on Christianity.

The baptism debate stems from people not getting baptized right away, as was the case in apostolic times. If we baptized immediately, the debate would die down, but sadly its like being in a deposition to get baptized in some churches.

The OSAS vs non-OSAS debate stems from a MISUNDERSTANDING of descriptive vs prescriptive texts. Example verse:
Hebrews 3:6 But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

Prescriptive reading goes: "You have to hold fast to be saved, you have to do that to become His house"
Descriptive reading goes: "Those who are of the house WILL indeed hold fast the confidence they have"

Instead of being a condition, its an ENCOURAGING passage of HOPE if read in the descriptive way.

For anyone who wants to argue that its the WRONG way to read texts like these: It CANT BE, because God knows the future, we can all agree on that. Why would God bother giving eternal life to someone who wont "make it" in the works salvation view of things? Plus, this reading is the only way to reconcile John 10:28, Romans 8:28ff, John 5:24 and many more eternal security verses. Those verses CANNOT be reconciled to the prescriptive reading of DoItYourself IKEA salvation!

You should feel empowered, my lady. You’re a woman of God who shares the Gospel and glorifies God while doing so. I speak for many CC brethren when saying you’re an inspiration.

It is a long story how I got here.... but all Glory to God who energizes my faith.:)

Try the garden....the self maintained or gained acceptance by God started in the Garden with Adam and Eve attempting to cover their sin and shame, then continued with Cain offering the works of his hands....it is an ongoing struggle and Satan himself is at the core of those that peddle a losable salvation!!!!!

Oh that's right....I forgot you support those that cause division, peddle a works salvation and don't talk to those that report BS when one continues to twist, skew, change what we say, embellish what we say etc............shakes head!!
