if you keep reading 1st John ( something you have a hard time doing, you just want to cut and paste verses), you will see that John says the Commands are to believe in the name of the Son, and love one another.

so, he was NOT referring to the 10 Commands.

and, as far as obeying Jesus, as I have pointed out to you numerous times, on the Mount of Transfiguration, God the Father came down and said, in the presence of Moses ( the Law) and Elijah ( the Prophets), and said of the Son " hear Him."

so, since the Trinity is 100& true, this elevates and seperates the Words in Red above all other Scripture.

so, keep putting out your judeaizer lies, I will proving you wrong.

oh, and a bonus, in Jesus's time, what we call the O.T. was called the Law and the Prophets.

Law. ( singular) Prophets ( plural)
I am not sure what you are saying but I am sure you are separating the children to their fathers.

I am saying you are wrong.

and I have proved you wrong multiple times in multiple ways.

and, after 2 full days, you STILL have not touched Josiah and the Book of the Law.

Too real for you all? Everyone go off line at the same time?? Good at pointing fingers, AT all but yourselves huh?? Bunch of scaredy cats. Way to stand up. Anyone willing to stand? Do you keep the commandments?? it would seem to be a simple question. Its a simple command. Any one else washing their robes?
Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
Revelation 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
Revelation 22:14 does not have the words "do his commandments" in the text.

You acknowledged the phrase "do his commandments" is not in the text.

Then you come back here, to this thread, with a snarky attitude, and break the very commandments you boast of keeping?

Leviticus 19:11
‘You shall not steal, nor deal falsely, nor lie to one another.

Leviticus 19:18
You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the LORD.

Romans 2:23
You who boast in Law, do you dishonor God through the transgression of the Law?

How would or could you possibly know what I have thought about? I didn't read past that part. I feel you said all that was needed to be said last night.

That is OBVIOUS! The answer is: I HAVE BEEN THERE, and DONE THAT, before I Mourned over my UTTER SINFULNESS of my WHOLE LIFESTYLE, for HOURS after my Third Attempt at Suicide the Last week of 1977. THE GUILT OF MY WHOLE LIFESTYLE CAME AT ME, WAVE, after WAVE, after WAVE as I WEPT AND CRIED LIKE A BABY, Crying out to JESUS CHRIST, "Please FORGIVE ME, Please FORGIVE ME!", as I SOBBED MOURNFULLY. HE crushed that Pride of Life clean out of me.

And I couldn't agree more.

Faith comes from hearing and hearing by the Word of God. We accept the gift of salvation, God has held up his end. We go do what the Word tells us. That doesn't make His grace, His gift one bit less.

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Ephesians 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
God saves by his grace and does even more. He also sanctifies his people and makes us more like Christ. He produces the fruit of the Spirit in the lives of believers.

Which would be something you needed to bring up if we were living 2000 yrs or so ago. Have you not read? Haven't you heard? God walked in the flesh and was crucified and rose for us to bring to us THE SOLUTION TO THAT PROBLEM and that solution came with the shedding of His blood. And the cry was heard " Repent for the kingdom of God is near".

Matthew 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

Matthew 6:8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

Matthew 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

Matthew 6:10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

Matthew 6:11 Give us this day our daily bread.

Matthew 6:12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

Matthew 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Matthew 6:14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

Matthew 6:15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

God is the same yesterday today and tomorrow. He does not change

His demand still stands.

You can not claim to be keeping the law. Or ten commands, if you are still breaking it (which we all do)

I pray you one day see this.

thats WHY we must saved

That's WHY we are under GRACE, for without it, we wold all be Dead.

Yes we are forgiven, but the fact you must be forgiven should be your first clue. That you do not keep the law (including the ten commands) whcih paul alls the ministry of death, written on stone.

Amen, its not abut focusing on thou shalt nots, Its about focusing on God and using his power to produce fruit.

The commands were not written to help us produce fruit or become christlike, they were written to prove to us how sinful we are So we can stop trying to “perform” and start to rely on God to perform in and through us.

Amen Under GRACE......the only power unto a Holy Life!!

Grace is not a static concept.... it is positional and and we partake of His essence.

Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

I often hear those who believe they will be saved based on the merits of obeying the 10 commandments (usually SDA's) quote Revelation 22:14 quite a bit. I noticed in Revelation 22:14 that certain translations say, "do his commandments," yet numerous other translations say, "wash their robes," which symbolizes those who have been forgiven of their sins through the blood of the Lamb (Romans 3:24-26). Also see Revelation 7:14. There will certainly be no boasting in law. (Romans 3:22-28) I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain. (Galatians 2:21)

As you posted on a another thread Jesus came to serve....

Righteousness as a free gift

Holiness as a free gift

The old law was external, the new law is internal >>>> what Jesus accomplished in us..... if we look to the old law we are NOT trusting Jesus...to me plain and simple!

So plainly written in scripture... sigh

Also very interesting on the "washing of robes"... something to look into;)

Just because you say it doesn't make it Truth. You still have not proved me wrong. You still have given no explanation to why the commandments are in the NT but wearing wool and linen are not.

Look how MANY agree with you. What more need I say??

Maybe because the "moral law" was/is impossible to keep..... although some people think they can...... and Jesus knew this.

What have YOU JUDGED me to have broken??

Success through repentance and in the power of the Blood of Christ, through the work that He did for the Father. "WASHING THEIR ROBES" Success, made perfect, or washed clean or your sins forgiven you go and sin no more, "KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS" or how ever God gives it to you and TO whomsosever will.

I have acknowledged it is not, yet that is the way it is translated and is written in all our bibles. I am not going to give translation lessons with every post. I am not going to quit using it because I would no longer be able to use almost any of the KJV. That must be your calling, you feel so strong about it.

You scale down the Gospel to include external law / commandment keeping.

The Gospel is a New Life in Jesus..... those commandments are internal... one has to take in the big picture which you seem to refuse to do......... more sighing!!

* follow their own sprit and have seen nothing.

Josiah read the book of the Law to Israel. book. singular.

Torah. a mostly singular meaning.

yet, deighann continues to shout that the Law is divided. says the 10 Commands are separate from the Law, due to them placed in the Ark.

the Ark of the Covenant. the very Covenant that contained the 10 Commands, which she says are NOT part of the Law. which is, according to her, is divided anyway.

yep, following one's own sprit and seeing nothing. due to be willfully blind.
JESUS was clear.....the blind fall and or walk in the ditch..........non-law keepers that believe in their mind that they keep the law LIVE in the ditch!
