PAUL was addressing the church located in ROME "GENTILES" and was the apostle unto the GENTILES..........not Jerusalem......
dc - you remind me of the problem of love verses dominance. It is always harder to
have friends and understand people than reject and harden your heart towards others.
Jesus calls us to love our brothers and sisters and even our enemies, no matter how you
paint them. It takes time, effort, listening and patience.
Now how much do I need to do to understand where you are coming from?
Now as a friend who is open to trust the Lord on your terms, it is easy. So you would tell
me.
Now if I say I already know and walk with the Lord, in His grace, love and forgiveness, with
the Holy Spirit shinning His light unto my feet, you would tell me I know nothing and it is
impossible for me to understand or see the great wisdom you have.
Now let us be really honest, not this emotional play positions. It is either simple and easy,
or I do not know what you are saying. It cannot be both else you are just being deceptive
and manipulative, talking not about truth but about your emotional acceptance of an individual
or a total rejection.
And that is my point. My friend, this is not about truth but about your "friends" and "enemies"
which is totally emotionally charged.
This world is so alien to me, because unbelievers are people I understand and get alongside as
much as believers, because I see their hearts, their struggles, the things they hope for and the
things that fade away very quickly in the future, so I can be a friend one moment and the next
be thrown out of the house for not understanding how they are feeling. ( actually happened )
Until you can see I am just a humble follower of Jesus and what He has done in my life, you miss
it all. I feel your hurt and history, your desire to stand against the scourge of legalism that deceived
the world, and I know hard hearted judgementalistic people, but the problem is not legalism but the
last of love, the lack of a heart of flesh, beating as one with Jesus and humbled before the cross and
forgiveness which He has poured out to us. But you do not see this, but still I will share it.
I do not know why you paint me evil, or whatever things you project onto me, because I am not your
past or your nice boxed individual. Until you give up judgementalism and just take people as they are,
the love and openness they share, and that is a blessing, you miss Jesus. This is all He asks us to be,
lights of His love in a dark work, not resisting the evil but shinning as lights of Gods goodness and grace.
I see this stronger than ever, and see how social change, inspiration is rooted and grounded in the
cross.
Halleluyah to the Lord Jesus Christ and His work in us to His glory, Amen.
