Kittens are the best.... but those sea shells are very cool!!:)

Those are Triton Trumpets, I found a couple while scuba diving on Okinawa in the Air Force. You can bust about an inch off the end of it, and blow through it and it makes a trumpet sound.

That’s why I have to end up putting many on ignore, I see them do that, and there is nothing I can do, it makes me so mad, I end up hurting my testimony.
I get it ... Jaden was definitely was going to make me loose testimony soon ... good thing he is banned.

I hadn't a quick look at the Greek word for severed and you make an interesting point.

PS do not listen to PS, he doesn't know that he has fallen for some FALSE DOCTRINE, and he will certainly try to confuse you. I confronted him with his mistake in my post #116,499 .

His insistence of spreading the false doctrine that he has been taught, certainly brings these verses to life for me:

Acts 20:29-31 (HCSB)
29 I know that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock.
30 And men will rise up from your own number with deviant doctrines to lure the disciples into following them.
31 Therefore be on the alert, remembering that night and day for three years I did not stop warning each one of you with tears.

Matthew 18
18 At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?

2 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,

3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

5 And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.

6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

7 Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!

8 Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.

9 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.

10 Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.

11 For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.

12 How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray?

13 And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray.

14 Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.

First the disciples ask a self serving question like who is the greatest in Gods kingdom, Jesus teaches a lesson in humility by taking up a child and telling us unless we are born again and become as a new child there is no way we would even make it..... but here these guys are talking about who would be the greatest...

This is a lesson in being meek and resisting the pride of man....followed by how we ought to fellowship and not compete with or attack eachother or cause eachother to stumble

then He continues to show how WHOSOEVER humbled themselves is not only IN the kingdom but the greatest in the kingdom....

We must TURN from this feeling of worthiness and greatness unto understanding how we NEED Him

then verse six goes to show that youd be better off experiencing a horrible death than offending one of these little ones than dealing with Gods discipline (i would believe offending here is primarily causing them to sin or placing them below us on our relationship in unloving ways)

7 and 8 are hyperbole to demonstrate how important it is to resist these sins

no we wont be saved by plucking out our eye or cutting off our hand, nor justified by our actions

but it WOULD INDEED be better to enter heaven damaged than enter hell living a worldly life full of offense

That does not undo Gods mercy or grace to His young ones.....

11 is a reminder how it is the LOST who are in NEED are who will be saved to wrap up the rebuke for the prideful ways of thinking

and follows that with a reminder of how HE deals with HIS children

of course HE wont let US perish (verses 12 -14)

then He continues to instruct US how to deal with us in 15 to 17

I didn't read what the other person says it means, but He is not telling us that His children wont enter heaven without self mutilation.... lol

Sorry about the sheer number of posts that disappeared with the cleanup from our troll. Unfortunately when there's 6 (or more) pages of posts involved, trying to only remove the troll's (and related posts from other users) can be somewhat imperfect.
No problem migo.....it had to be done and we appreciate it......... Policing your fav. thread ;)

There is no value in throwing truth to the ground in front of Ralphie......he will go to his grave believing that he must help JEEZUS maintain that which JESUS promises to maintain.....and then by doctrine he clearly declares that he will stand with the many and boast of all that he has done in the name of JESUS and demand his right to enter.......

Triton Trumpets can sound like this:

Some actually drill a hole in the side instead of cutting off the end. Either way it is effective, and was used by ancient mariners to let other people know where their boats were in foggy conditions.

Remember, David was considered a man after Gods heart as a very young man, Bathsheba and Nathan occured later in his life. Which shows even a mature man of God can fall down now one is safe from sin. The worse place we can be is thinking we made it and we are ok
Uriah .........Nathan was the one that rebuked David

WRONG INTERPRETATION YET AGAIN!

Quote:
Gal. 5:4 justified. See notes on 2:16; Romans 3:24. estranged from Christ... fallen from grace. The Greek word for estranged means “to be separated” or “to be severed.” The word for fallen means “to lose one’s grasp on something.” Paul’s clear meaning is that any attempt to be justified by the law is to reject salvation by grace alone through faith alone. Those once exposed to the gracious truth of the gospel, who then turn their backs on Christ (Heb. 6:4-6) and seek to be justified by the law are separated from Christ and lose all prospects of God’s gracious salvation. Their desertion of Christ and the gospel only proves that their faith was never genuine (cf. Luke 8:13, 14; 1 John 2:19).

The MacArthur Bible Commentary. End Quote,

Salvation is not OUR trying to grab a hold of CHRIST, BUT genuine Salvation, is THE SECURITY of SALVATION IS THE FACT THAT CHRIST HAS A HOLD OF US, AND THE FATHER ALSO HAS A HOLD OF US.

Hebrews 6:4-6 (NASB)
4 For in the case of those who have once been enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift and have been made partakers of the Holy Spirit,
5 and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come,
6 and then have fallen away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance, since they again crucify to themselves the Son of God and put Him to open shame.

That is not a Born Again Christian, because we have not ONLY TASTED, we have CONSUMED THE TRUTH or EATEN the LIVING BREAD.

John 6:51 (NKJV)
51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world."

See the DIFFERENCE, the ones without SALVATION only JUST TASTED,

While WE have Eaten or Consumed the TRUE LIVING BREAD!

Forgot this quote:

John 10:27-30 (HCSB)
27 My sheep hear My voice, I know them, and they follow Me.
28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish—ever! No one will snatch them out of My hand.
29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all. No one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.
30 The Father and I are one.”

1 John 2 19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.

its simple
Hasn't it dawned on you yet, that you are "not one of us."

My view on the Galatian letter....

The letter was written the the Churches in GALATIA......LOST men are not identified with the LORD'S churches

GRACE is a POSITION believers are PLACED INTO (Romans 5, Ephesians 2)

BELIEVERS that attempt to mix law and faith or go back to law over faith are wilfully removing themselves from the POSITIONING of GRACE and in SO DOING place themselves in a position that is not profitable and or a position that deems judgement over grace.

YES, the LORD'S churches have tares, BUT NO WHERE does GOD address CHURCH letters to LOST MEN.....LOST MEN have NO ABILITY to grasp, know, understand, discern TRUTH on any level....NOT even the message of salvation.

THEY MUST be saved to GRASP, DISCERN and APPLY the word of GOD in these CHURCH letters.

Unto the CHURCHES of GALATIA 1:2
Called YOU into the GRACE of CHRIST 1:6
SOME would trouble YOU 1:7
Called BRETHERN 1:11
They had received the SPIRIT 3:2
They have begun in the Spirit 3:3
They had suffered for Christ 3:4
They had a minister 3:5
Called brethern again 3:15
CALLED the CHILDREN OF GOD BY FAITH 3:26
Identified as Abraham's seed and heirs 3:29, 4:1
Called SONS of GOD 4:6
They KNOW GOD and KNOWN of GOD 4:9
Called brethern again 4:12
Called MY little children 4:19
WE, brethern are the CHILDREN of PROMISE 4:28
Called brethern and children of the free 4:31
Told to stand fast in the FREEDOM CHRIST has given them 5:1
They were HINDERED in the race by accepting false doctrine 5:7
Called brethern over and over
Brethern GRACE be with YOU last verse

Paul is not addressing lost men, but rather saved men that have fallen hook, line and sinker for a false dogma of faith mixed with law...he is NOT addressing salvation.

Won't they be saved as if by fire and suffer loss.
I always remember the old lady who led me to the Lord saying, "In the New Heavens and New Earth, who will we be ruling and reigning over?" Lol
Not if their hearts are Black as sin.
