One act of belief/faith/trust in Christ Jesus for salvation is sufficient to save eternally.
One act of believing that continues uninterrupted to the very end is sufficient to save eternally. All the promises of salvation and eternal life are to those who presently believe, not to those who never believed, or who have stopped believing.

You can be a believer in Jesus and question and have anxiety about salvation. I know the feeling of anxiety about salvation very well personally.
Paul says to not become arrogant about being in the vine by faith, but fear (Romans 11:20-21). Fear the penalty of willfully going back to unbelief. Because you won't fare any better than the unbelieving Jews who did not believe. I don't think this is what you are talking about. To have anxiety about your salvation is misplaced if you do indeed have faith in Christ.

This post, I want to specifically talk to my OSAS Brothers and Sisters in CHRIST.

I want to Encourage you all, to remain strong in the OSAS Faith, that we have in common.

Now that we have ENTERED into the time of great Pestilences, NO there will be MORE to come. Pray for one another, and encourage one another, all the more.

We can now EXPECT a lot more people with False Doctrines, that will come and Try to Deceive us. It is in Prophecy, therefore IT WILL HAPPEN.

KNOW That Our LORD has Promised us HE will Call Us Out to GO to the Wedding of the LAMB SOON. No, I do not know when, but Keep Ready,

Matthew 24:6-7 (NKJV)
6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences {diseases that kill}, and earthquakes in various places.

1 Thessalonians 5:9 (NASB)
9 For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,

Revelation 3:10 (NASB)
10 'Because you have kept the word of My perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of testing, that hour which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.

Matthew 25:1-13 (NASB)

1 "Then the kingdom of heaven will be comparable to ten virgins, who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.
2 "Five of them were foolish, and five were prudent.
3 "For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them,
4 but the prudent took oil in flasks along with their lamps.
5 "Now while the bridegroom was delaying, they all got drowsy and began to sleep.
6 "But at midnight there was a shout, 'Behold, the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.'
7 "Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamps.
8 "The foolish said to the prudent, 'Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.'
9 "But the prudent answered, 'No, there will not be enough for us and you too; go instead to the dealers and buy some for yourselves.'
10 "And while they were going away to make the purchase, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast; and the door was shut.
11 "Later the other virgins also came, saying, 'Lord, lord, open up for us.'
12 "But he answered,
'Truly I say to you, I do not know you.'
13 "Be on the alert then, for you do not know the day nor the hour.

1 Timothy 6:3-5 (NIV)
3 If anyone teaches false doctrines and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching,
4 he is conceited and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions
5 and constant friction between men of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain.

Acts 20:29-30 (ESV)
29 I know that after my departure fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock;
30 and from among your own selves will arise men speaking twisted things, to draw away the disciples after them.

2 Timothy 3:5 (HCSB)
5 holding to the form of godliness but denying its power. Avoid these people!

2 Timothy 3:7 (HCSB)
7 always learning and never able to come to a knowledge of the truth.

Hebrews 3:13-14 (HCSB)
13 But encourage each other daily, while it is still called today, so that none of you is hardened by sin’s deception.
14 For we have become companions of the Messiah if we hold firmly until the end the reality that we had at the start.

1 Thessalonians 5:11 (NASB)
11 Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing.

But I never lost my faith in Jesus. I was waiting for the sky to fall on my head and go to hell.
Do you see the contradiction in these two statements?

I'm confident that you were a believer through your whole experience.
I'm sorry that you attended a church whose elders did not know the difference between a struggling, saved sinner, and fake believers, who, as you say, "don't give a damn" and sin willfully and arrogantly in the church. Fake and fallen believers who sin arrogantly and wantonly are the ones who are to be shown the door so they might come to their senses and be saved when Jesus comes back (1 Corinthians 5:5).

"5hand this man over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, a b so that his spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord."

I don't believe this counsel is for the honest, struggling, remorseful believer in Christ overcome by a besetting sin.

Where the church has gone wrong is to tell believers in your situation that they can't lose their salvation, instead of telling them what the Bible says.....keep believing and you'll remain safe in Christ, protected by the power of God through your faith (1 Peter 1:5). Osas is a false comfort to the struggling Christian. They need to be exhorted to keep believing despite their struggle, not sit back casually because they supposedly can't lose their salvation.

To have anxiety about your salvation is misplaced if you do indeed have faith in Christ.
...especially if your faith is finding expression in works of righteous love:

"17 ....love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world." - 1 John 3:17

People who are mature in works of godly love don't wonder if they are saved and prepared for the Judgment, because in this life they are like God. Even in the midst of my besetting sin I had victory in other areas that showed I had God in me in salvation.

...Especially since sin can deceive us and harden our hearts to unbelief:

12Take care, brethren, that there not be in any one of you an evil, unbelieving heart that falls away from the living God. 13But encourage one another day after day, as long as it is still called “Today,” so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. " - Hebrews 3:12-13

Osas causes people to not be aware of the falling away from God in unbelief that can happen because of sin because it teaches you can't fall away from God. It's necessary to keep believing in order to keep the sharing in Christ you gained when you first believed:

"14 We have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original conviction firmly to the very end." - Hebrews 3:14

What are deeds of the body?
For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
(Rom 7:22-24 KJV)

Ah, the king's English. But what does that actually say to you? What are the deeds of the body?

Amen Brother! I am unable to not believe. I have to stick with the original doctrine of the New Testament, and that is th Pauline Doctrine of Justification solely by faith. Why do I stick with that? Because I used to not believe in God until He drew me up into his love and gave me the holy spirit without me pursuing it. HE gave me my faith, love, and desire to know him. I never believed enough to even ask for it. He has imputed me with the Holy Spirit in October of 99, and for 20 years its been my demise to figure out what he wants from me. Every single night and day i try to figure his will out. The calling and opening my eyes to the truth was and is ALL him. I try to be humble (but its hard to) when I say I have been chosen. If he's going t do all that and take it back because at one point I sinned enough for him to disown me then I don't want him as my God anyhow. OSAS is true doctrine.
God bless you Brother
in Christ,
Bob
