Since I have already mentioned 1 Peter, Hebrews and Revelations, let's now look at 1 John:

1 John 2:28 And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

1 John 3:
6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

John is urging Israel to abide in him in 1 John 2, what does he meant by abide? He explains in 1 John 3, those who sin not are the ones that abide in him.

So if one takes the mark of the beast, that is a clear indication of not abiding in him.

He will only be ashamed when Jesus finally returns at his 2nd coming for Israel. There will be no future salvation for him to expect, as John said in vs8, he is of the devil.

This is in-line with what is stated in Revelations 14:9-12.
yawn......

If WE say that WE have no sin, WE are deceived and the TRUTH is NOT in us.

You can forget it chuck....no one ia sinless and the context is a continual lifestlye of SIN....

I repeat...No where does the bible peddle a losable salvation and NO saved child of GOD will take the MARK!

May we not believe in vain.

“Now I am reminding you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you indeed received and in which you also stand. Through it you are also being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you, unless you believed in vain” (1 Corinthians 15:1-2).

CONTEXT.....directed at those peddling or believing that JESUS had not resurrected from the DEAD

Geesh!!!

1John :4

God’s Love and Ours.

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God.
Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.
Whoever does not love does not know God.because God is love.
This is how God showed his love among us.
He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.
This is love:not that we loved God,but that he loved us and sent his son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
Dear friends, since God so loved us,we also ought to love one another,God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.
We know that we live in him and he in us,because he has given us his Spirit.
And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Saviour of the world.
If anyone acknowledges, that Jesus is the Son of God.
God lives in him and he in God.
And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.
God is love.
Whoever lives in Love lives in God and God in him.
In this way,Love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgement, because in this world we are like him.
There is no fear in love.
But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment.
The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
We love because he first loved us.
If anyone says,I love God,yet hates his brother,he is a liar.
For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God,whom he has not seen.
And he has given us this command:
Whoever loves God must also love his brother.

Every so often I am going to BUMP.....as this scripture is very close to my heart......

You believe one who is saved cannot exercise his free will to take the Mark, that is how you maintain OSAS even during the Tribulation, in contrary to what Hebrews to Revelations teach.

Whatever floats your boat.

Yes, this is one part of 1 John that many of us find it uncontroversial, hence easy to accept and to hold close to our hearts.

This is unlike 1 John 2 and 3, which teach more controversial stuff, especially the parts that I have mentioned earlier.

Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

So as I have already said to EG, my point was simply "If he accepts, he would have lost his salvation."

Do you disagree with that?

And I answered pal or are you to obstinate to accept the following truths...

A. NO saved man will take the mark

B. NO saved man can lose salvation

Whether any saved man will or will not take the mark, is irrelevant to the if-then conditional argument.

If you want to reject my point, you have to argue that, even if a believer takes the mark, he will NOT lose his salvation.

But you cannot argue against what verses like Rev 14:9-12 is clearly specifying, so you keep harping on an irrelevant point.

That is your own flawed argument....there IS NO IF....and that is what you cannot grasp .....

And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

Even Rev 14:9-10 uses the same "If-then" argument. Its you who refuse to see it.

Don’t worry DorothyMae...it’s not nice to be falsely accused....I never knew about the ignore button....I highly recommend you to use it.....God knows what I am like at times with my tongue...so he told me to put those who upset me in my spirit....onto ignore.......I love it because I now speak with those who are civil...also if you do get confused..they firmly but gently try and guide you....or should I say...God guides us through them.....like Laffter...the Lord has guided me through her.....don’t forget it’s the Lord that we have the relationship with.
I rarely use ignore. My goal has been to present the truth on this thread to those who are still considering OSAS and tempted to take the comfort the theology brings. The strongest message was the response of those who hold it. The fruit of this theology is often consistent. Of course one has to look at the fruit and not merely look at what the teaching is. Good fruit comes from a good tree.

But as for me personally God comforts and corrects me so no worries. I don’t write what I do from past wounds He did not heal. I have a love for the truth but also a love for people especially believers that balance one another. A love for the truth inhibits flattery and a love for people inhibits agreeing with untruth. There is a tension there.

Anyway, thanks for the kind words!

Well, @star and @EleventhHour -

So what if @DorothyMae is being antagonistic to the gospel of Jesus Christ and is not a searching, unsure soul on a journey with us........if we respond by talking condescending about her and to her it hurts her and our walk with the Lord.

God loves DorothyMae and all of us......after we have confronted and she has confronted us and there is no agreement, well then disassociate (click the "ignore" button) and leave her with the Lord. No need to keep harping on her.

I choose to focus on how wonderful the Gift of Salvation is that God has freely given us in Christ Jesus our Lord - NOT BY OUR WORKS but, by the works of Christ ALONE!!!(y)
I am not any of those things but thanks for having the courage to correct fellow OSAS believers. That is very rare.

With all due respect this is not the point....the point is guarding, defending and protecting truth.

We should not empower them ...we are to disassociate to remove their audience.
The Catholics had that policy during the Inquisition. Jesus said to let wheat and fares grow lest the wheat be also uprooted.

DorothyMae....as you know I have been confused over OSAS...God has brought me through to his truth....I will never lose my salvation...I am born again....I can assure you...it has nothing to do with agreeing with others.....it’s a spiritual thing....God let me know that through my spirit...he confirmed it to me.....
So I say to the enemy......I am no longer weak in this area......so you know what you can do.

I’m talking to Satan DorothyMae..not you personally.

Only after being on the juice, being contextually dishonest and rejecting the word of God in favor of religion!!
I see that some people are experts at insulting those who are well educated and wise, but totally lack the ability to defend their own beliefs or to contribute anything of value. Such people most shamefully not only lower the standard of Christianity but destroy its influence and disgrace its character while believing that they and their filth are eternally secure in Christ!*
