Where is that scripture that says “only a born again believer will see heaven and they can never ever fall away?” You made the statement but I asked for a scripture.

John 3:1:21
Please read.
God is speaking to Nicodemus...only a born again will see heaven.
I don’t think you are understanding what he is saying DorothyMae
You must be born again to enter his kingdom.
There is no doubting that scripture and it’s meaning.

If you interpret it differently..then I don’t agree with your interpretation.

I am standing firm on what I believe it to be saying....that is God’s truth to me and I can’t deny his truth.

False teachers do not engage others to be convinced by scripture, they only have one desire as any wolf does when among the sheep.

Joh 3:1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:

Joh 3:2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

Joh 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Joh 3:4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

Joh 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Dottie

am surprised that you would need to ask.

Joh 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Joh 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

Joh 3:8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

The Jews had doctrine of being born again. This is the reason why Jesus said what He did to Nicodemus, you being a teacher in Israel need to ask how one can be born again?

But, being born of Spirit? It’s the action of Holy Spirit Himself within. The unseen work of God in men. However, we will see the fruit.

Salvation is for all the world with the only condition being to believe and receive. After is sanctification, which is the ongoing work of that salvation, but is working out within our souls, what we already are in Spirit. Always the work of Holy Spirit who is now presently in this world.

This is the explanation of the Word dividing soul and Spirit.

Those who believe that salvation can be lost and usually speak of sins committed after the new birth, fail to realize that the blood of Jesus has offered forgiveness for all who will ever be born. The power over all sin. The natural man can do nothing worthy of salvation. The spiritual man will work the works of God. But, not in mans strength. Through the power of God.

I can do nothing apart from Father Jesus said. We must be one with God through Son/Sonship in the same manner.

Then they aren’t a nonbeliever any more. My point is the warnings are mostly to believers.

I do not think you ever answered my critical question.

Explain to me in your own words, not just John 3:3-8 or any such verse.

HOW YOU WERE BORN AGAIN, AND HOW DO YOU KNOW IT WAS REAL, IN YOUR OWN WORDS ? ? ?

That is what it says about the change as a result of repentance but it does not promise he will keep you “born again” or once born again the plant of faith cannot die. He does not promise you can never change your mind. That which is born can die. I asked for “born again and never fall away? The man must be regenerated (“born again” he only used once and is a metaphor for regenerated) to enter the Kingdom of God. Regenerated is the real event and falling away once regenerated is possible and described in the Bible.

Repentance is also necessary. Salvation is from sin, not hell per se.

Physical birth is a one time event, cannot be undone.

Spiritual birth (born from above) a one time event cannot be undone.
Perfect Analogy

Once again you deny the plain teachings of Christ Jesus.

I gave you my testimony in detail and you accused me of not being saved because I don’t believe as you do about OSAS. You already think I’m an heathen. What is to be gained by repeating it? You don’t think I tell the truth so what can I say that you won’t say is a lie? How can I prove I know Him if my many posts haven’t done so already?

Ok...well I will leave you to that belief..I can’t relate to what you are saying.

Only to what the Holy Spirit is witnessing to my Spirit in what that scripture means.

I can’t continue discussing with you if you can’t receive that scripture as to what it really means.
You probably think that about me which is fine.
Have a good day and hope you are settling in to your new home.

I don’t think that at all about you. The verse doesn’t say what you want it to say. It’s just not there. You can elevate your impression about the Word of God. A famous OSAS preacher has a similar testimony. He was afraid of losing his salvation and it occurred to
him that he cannot. Did not get it from the Bible either but just a feeling.

We can end the discussion here. I have nothing but warm love for you. I will tell you that God speaks to me as to you. He gives me love even for those who oppose me. It’s not difficult.

His blessings upon you!!!

Seriously are you sure you are not married to @Judges1318 ... or did you take the same course together..

"101 Ways to be a False Teacher on Every Discussion Board on the NET"

There is no mention of death ... again adding that into the text

Direct comparisons of two types of births, the event.

Do you understand event, occurrence?

A person is not un-birthed do they do not return to the womb.
