1 John 1:8 If we say we have no sin [refusing to admit that we are sinners], we delude ourselves and the truth is not in us. [His word does not live in our hearts.] 9 If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just [true to His own nature and promises], and will forgive our sins and cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness [our wrongdoing, everything not in conformity with His will and purpose]. 10 If we say that we have not sinned [refusing to admit acts of sin], we make Him [out to be] a liar [by contradicting Him] and His word is not in us.

The sinfulness of believers is shown, by requiring them continually to confess their sins.

I dare you to supply what “nastiness” I said. You said I “need a rest, “ pretty nasty of you. I can comb through other nasty things you’ve said. Please now show me what“nastiness” you have perceived is there. I can supply more of yours.

Was it “nasty” of me to ask for scripture?

If you think I’m wasting my time scrolling back for your nasty posts..forget it..I’ve got better things to do...but there is plenty of nastiness from you to others on this thread.

Your fixated on nastiness......you do need a break...look at your posts....I’m being honest..I don’t see that as nasty.

You need to let go of your personal feelings.....it’s all about you...and you talk about me...haaaaaaa,that’s a joke!

Where’s your “clear” scripture for this?

On the contrary I have a clear scripture that proves what you believe is a heresy: and I don’t even have to add any commentary to it...

Hebrews 10:26-27
[26] For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, [27] But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

Do not make it unclear with your commentary; this is the word of God. Let it stand!

Hear ye what the Lord says!
More shoddy exegesis from the board heretic! Those Scriptures have nothing whatsoever to do with losing your salvation. At least to those who actually understand them.

^^^ slander.

Where’s that slander cop when you need him.
Do you feel any sin upwelling from your evil heart in the last 5 minutes?
BTW, distorting the word of God, and denying the gospel, may be the worst sins of all!

So let me ask you do you: do you have an absolutely perfect understanding of everything in the Scripture? Perfect, flawless, and have everything committed to memory? Perfect flawless exegesis without one single solitary error....ever? From the moment that you were saved?

What’s so hard to comprehend about God telling you to stop sinning?

You don’t need to be flawless and perfect to understand this. You just need ears to hear and a flesh that has been reduced to an ineffective state through the Spirit which God gives to every believer.

Part of my purpose is to show in live exchange the fruit of the OSAS doctrine in the hearts and here words of those who hold it in comparison with those who don’t. Your team very clearly shows what this doctrine does in the spirit.

I do admit it’s much harder for OSAS believers to remain calm and cordial as your theology is full of holes and scripture as well as logic easily expose it. One is likely left with stubborn adherence. You guys can not afford to think deeply about it. Rocking that boat means you fall out....not fall away, just out.
You clearly show every time you post what a deceiver and false teacher you are. I'm as calm as can be right now Dottie responding to another of your false response. LOL. you are so deeply embedded in yourself and your arrogance.

Occasionally those who make claims to having achieved sinlessness, when pressed, admit to sinning from time to time.

Still they condemn others for giving themselves "permission to sin" as if they do not do the very same thing.

What's worse is when they claim that faith in God's promises is akin to giving license to sin.
Generally when they do they claim "Sins of omission"
They don't count.

I get so confused about sinning.......don’t we lean on Jesus to help us to stop sinning?

I’ve been sinning today....what am I supposed to do about it?

Do I leave it at the cross?...what if I’m ignorant and not know I’m sinning what then?

Another dodge and not a very artful one at that.

1 John 1:8-9
[8] If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. [9] If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

I have confessed my sins and the faithful and just one has taken away my past sins.

Hallelujah!

Thats great

You are ignoring the fact that John is talking about PRESENT and FUTURE sin and not past.
