John’s words?

These?

1 John 3:6
[6] Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

That’s what I’ve been saying all along.

Nice try deceiver

If we SAY. WE HAVE NO SIN (THAT WOULD BE YOU) WE are deceived and the truth is not in us!

i believe dc could be right @Micaiah-imla . not that i would call you a 'deceiver' though.

"for now we see through a glass dimly", for now we know in PART". but how different some of our parts can seem!?

and how oft do our brothers and sisters reach out their hands to us saying, look!, see! : here is a part of the puzzle. :)

1 Corinthians 13:9
where there is knowledge, it will be dismissed. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part,

WOW, you certainly do NOT KNOW MUCH about OSAS, and most of what you believe about Our Theology, IS NOT THE TRUTH.

John 14:6-7 (HCSB)
6 Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
7 “If you know Me {Born Again}, you will also know My Father. From now on you do know Him and have seen Him.”

John 3:3 (HCSB)
3 Jesus replied, I assure you: Unless someone is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
John 3:5-7 (ESV)

5 Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water {This is not a reference to Water Baptism, but to the Breaking of water at natural Childbirth.} and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit {Human Spirit must be Birthed by the Holy Spirit}.
7 Do not marvel that I said to you, You must be born again.’

Matthew 7:13-23 (HCSB)
13 Enter through the narrow gate. {This parable is about People who call themselves Christians, the Many and the Few.) For the gate is wide and the road is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who go through it.
14 How narrow is the gate and difficult the road that leads to life, and few find it.
15 “Beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravaging wolves.
16 You’ll recognize them by their fruit. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes or figs from thistles?
17 In the same way, every good tree produces good fruit, but a bad tree produces bad fruit.
18 A good tree can’t produce bad fruit; neither can a bad tree produce good fruit.
19 Every tree that doesn’t produce good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
20 So you’ll recognize them by their fruit.
21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord!’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but ⌊only⌋ the one who does the will of My Father in heaven.
22 On that day many {same MANY that are on the broad road, verse 13.} will say to Me, Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in Your name, drive out demons in Your name, and do many miracles in Your name?’
{They put there Trust in their deeds, NOT 100% in what JESUS did on the Cross for SALVATION.}

23 Then I will announce to them, I never knew you! {a reference to Born Again.} Depart from Me, you lawbreakers!’

Matthew 10:42 (ESV)
42 And whoever gives one of these little ones even a cup of cold water because he is a disciple, truly, I say to you,
he will by no means lose his reward.” {The motive for giving the cup of Cold Water, or whatever the NEED, has to be AGAPE LOVE for that person, or it is worthless to GOD, including you only gave it to receive a reward, it Filthy Rags.}

Luke 12:8-10 (HCSB)
8 “And I say to you, anyone who acknowledges Me before men, the Son of Man will also acknowledge him before the angels of God,
9 but whoever denies Me before men will be denied before the angels of God.
10 Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but the one who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.

{One of the main responsibilities is to work on the HEART of mankind, to Get Them to BELIEVE in Jesus the Messiah, how paid for 100% of our SINS on the Cross. REJECT THAT TRUTH and you have Blasphemed the Holy Spirits work on our hearts or Human Spirit. That is the ONLY unforgivable SIN there is. Yes, I believe I am teaching the TRUTH, and I have the Holy Spirit in me that CONVINCES me it is Absolutely TRUE. But if you believe SOMETHING ELSE, that I believe is FALSE DOCTRINE, which could be a SIGN something Worse, or NOT; you are certainly flirting with disaster. I CANNOT TELL if YOU are Born Again or Not. I see all kinds of doctrinal errors in THEOLOGY, But are you Saved or Not, THAT IS CHRIST's Call. I really do not think you understand what Born Again is all about.}
None of that answers my post but that is pretty much all
you do. No matter what I or others, you answer

1. You don’t understand OSAS.

2. Here are all the scriptures that we “adjust” to make them support our position. Won’t take long to read them as there are only a handful and we always quote those and ignore the ones that describe the conditions for salvation.

3. If you don’t accept our OSAS we call you an unbeliever and worse cause all our future abuses of you are already forgiven and we’re going to heaven even if we kill you in our zeal to eliminate false “teachers” like you: (if you open your mouth we can designate you to be. teacher and false therefore deserving death or maybe a lesser punishment.

By that logic atheists can resist temptation by themselves and therefore they don't need God. But Jesus said, when the evil spirit returns, because the house was empty, he will bring 7 friends worse than him to dwell in that man, and since that man has no indwelling of God in him, it becomes worse than the first condition. What's the use if they don't return to smoking if their infirmity was not cured? The cause did not go away. It will doubtless express itself in other areas of life. Smoking is a symptom, not the disease. It is not deliverance if evil spirits are just moving around or take shifts to finish the man off. Not sure where you're going with that argument.
First, it is simply a fact that some very nasty atheists have quit smoking and other sins. There are atheists who never gave into the temptation to commit adultery. Some never gave in to stealing. It’s true.

Now we can stubbornly insist it isn’t so. Or we can adjust our thinking according to the truth. Atheists are not full of demons. That’s not why they smoke. The demons don’t leave when they quit.

The fact is we don’t commit all the sins in the book. Neither do atheists. That doesn’t help. The sins we do commit are the ones that count. And these are different for each of us. So because a man isn’t tempted to steal doesn’t mean he is sinless. Jesus saves us from the sins we do, not the ones we didn’t do.

So your idea that because a man isn’t tempted to adulterous means he doesn’t need Jesus is wrong.

Do you see what I mean?

There is nothing we can do good enough to be WORTHY OF GRACE. But if you are saying I want to Love Him back by walking in obedience as best as I can; THAT IS BIBLICAL. It is part of our LOVE FOR HIM, and never has been part of our Salvation. Salvation is a FREE GIFT, that is TOTALLY unmerited, and undeserving.
“God opposes the proud but gives grace to the.....humble.”

You have no idea who has been set free from addiction....again it’s an assumption...you have no proof whatsoever.

That is what you believe.....which holds no merit whatsoever.

Seriously your exegesis is a train wreck.
Your obedience is train wrecked by OSAS.

God never punished anyone for "exegesis" fails, only for disobedience.

By the way, exegesis is a great swelling word; you should study the Bible to find out what is connected to those who use great swelling words of vanity.

Here, I'll post it for you:

For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error. While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption (2 Peter 2:18-19).

You ain't alluring me my friend. I'm standing fast on the word of God!

I believe the ending of the verse you are quoting is “and lean not on your own understanding. With all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will give you the desires of your heart.

Never add your own thought to His word when you are quoting it.
If I am not leaning on my own understanding, what am I leaning on?

His word.

You seriously felt the need to make an issue of this?

State your position regarding the security of the believer in concise form.
No, I will not state my position.

I will briefly state the position of the Bible.

1. Repent and Believe the gospel (Flesh crucified).
2. Walk worthy of the gospel.
3. Endure to the end.
4. The hope of salvation realized.
5. Enter into the holy city.

In your opinion.....the majority on this thread disagree....
Use caution in using the "majority" as a measuring stick.

Broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat (Matthew 7:13).

In my estimation, OSAS is the broad way.
