None of that is what I asked. You said no true believer refuses to confess.
Do you believe that true believers have failed to confess/speak the same/acknowledge/agree with God's perspective about their sins and have no settled recognition and ongoing acknowledgment of their sins and need of cleansing and forgiveness?

There are believers who think all future sins are already forgiven and so confession makes no sense.
Do you believe that only past sins are forgiven for the believer and all future sins are hanging in the balance and will only be forgiven if we confess each and every sin that we commit as we commit them (keep a specific inventory) and if we forget a sin we are toast? How does that fit with Acts 13:39 - and by Him everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.

They DONT confess sins the HS shows them. Would you say they are therefore not “true believers?” That was my question. How far in real life do you actually live what you say you believe?
True believers have an ongoing acknowledgement of their sins. I continue to live the Christian life that began for me several years ago. When I stumble and sin, I confess/acknowledge/agree with God's perspective about my sins, but I don't keep a specific inventory of every single sin that I have ever committed as a legalistic prescription to remain cleansed. That's not what John is talking about in 1 John 1:9.

Joshua said the same thing about serving the Lord as well as his entire household.
He never told the others to choose God. He told them to choose one of their false gods.

And it wasn't the gospel being presented, or an invitation to eternal life, as God already chose them, and some showed themselves to not be of Israel at all; Romans 9:6-7. Joshua understood this to be true.

Joshua served God because he was regenerate, it wasn't him "accepting Christ as Savior" but as a regenerate person he served God with his house.

You asked where scripture discusses repentance /contritionfor sin like unless it says so, you see no reson for being so.

So do you repent of wrongs you’ve done to others?
Nope I asked which scripture you were referring to when you spoke about "quenching the Spirit"

Your evasion tactics and accusatory tone speaks volumes.

Can you not answer a simple question?

Jeremiah 23:24

Can a man hide himself in secret places so that I cannot see him? declares the Lord. Do I not fill heaven and earth? declares the Lord.

John 3:16

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

James 1:17

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.

Romans 7:15
15 For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate.

John 1:7-9,
If we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1

1. We cannot throw away what God has given to us. A gift is a gift and once we accept it, it is ours for all eternity.

2. We can never go from the sight of God. He is everywhere. He knows from moment to moment where we are and what our needs are.

3. A saved soul/human is saved eternally by the gift of God. A saved/human being will continue to sin regardless because of their "human" nature part. However, we are given a path to follow if we sin to ask for forgiveness and for a "cleansing" which we will be given.

4. The Prodigal Son left, threw away his "lifestyle" and inheritance but his father never rejected him and took him back into the lifestyle with open arms.

Salvation is eternal. God says so. Living a clean life without sin controlling our human nature is possible through the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ, who is propitiation for our sins but no human being, no matter how faithful, how many works, deeds they perform will be sinless on this side of heaven.

I’ll look it up for you but I’m surprised you never heard of that phrase. I didn’t make it up.

Hmm ....
According to the Oxford Dictionary, effort is an attempt to do something. When we use ''effort'' it implies that we are trying to accomplish a task or solve a problem.
.... so, it is not you that is thinking of believing so therefore it is not your mind or your effort ... I am confused. Who is doing the believing?
Re: we cannot force ourselves to believe something we know is untrue .... AMEN, and since you were a slave to Satan and No One Seeks God .... God changed your disposition by giving you a new heart and so now you freely want to trust him

John 6:29 Jesus replied, “The work of God is this: to believe in the One He has sent.”
Well someone is doing the WORK ... and this verse says God is doing the work to believe ... and we are not saved by works... so, sounds like an open and shut case.

I have him on IGNORE. When I first came on here I read 3 of his posts. He was .... hmmm ... not the most pleasant personality. I will let @preacher4truth stick handle his input if he is so inclined.

"Traps" is a word to make you feel better for it suggests a trick and therefore makes you feel better about your position. I only offer logic and scripture the best I can IMO.

So you come to this thread and have the OP in ignore?

Afraid he might take you to task?

You’ve taught that God saves ppl because He knew they would be willing to be saved. Fess up, its the right thing to do.
No
I teach that god elects people because they had faith in the word as apposed to those who do not. In accordance to
The Bible

So what. You come here only when your pals do to bash people?

It's funny how you think I said that, that they couldn't be saved, then twist it into meaning they lost salvation. How could a person you claim I said isn't saved lose salvation? Hmmmm.
Take this with the fact you hang out and agree with people who believe you can lose salvation and you get the picture

Nope, that's not what I believe.

Its hilarious you believe God chose you because you chose him, which is merit, not grace then accuse others of being special. Lol!
I never said that
I did Not chose god he chose me

Funny how you condemned a brother yet here you are living in sin of bearing false witness

I asked earlier do you not grow Weary
This?
