Yes you have answered... so many scriptures that deny limited atonement.

I do not even know how anyone can even draw such a false conclusion based on the preponderance of evidence from scripture that states the opposite.
I agree, and I will say that if limited atonement is in scripture, then I cannot find it...

I'm pretty sure the one said something to the effect of, you know, the whole license to sin thing that they love to pretend OSAS promotes, and how surprised some people will be to find out that you cannot live "as you please" when you are saved, but must make ongoing strenuous attempts to be sinless, as we also know some also promote they are... and not just in one post, either, but over a series of posts. That is why I asked him, specifically, if he was a T.U.L.I. kind of guy.
He thinks they were never were saved to begin with

Wow, still see a lot of "baiting" in posts from the usual suspects. They hide the baiting under the guise of "they"

As for my earlier post about salvation and choice, I stand by it. We have free will to accept the most precious gift of all, the free will to stand by our convictions, and the free will to take the bait or not.

Reminds me of when I attended a UMC congregation for about a year. The pastor revered john wesley more than Jesus Christ.

Then a new pastor took over and stated on several occasions that islam is a beautiful religion. These were ordained ministers. What the hell is wrong with people?
And the tragic truth....some on this site are indeed peddling the doctrine of a man invented by a man over the word of God....they will deny it, come across all sweet and seemingly biblical and people weak in the faith are taking it in like a sunfish in a pond with a nice, delectable looking worm on a new shiney hook....oblivious to the danger of being led astray.

You can trust your human understanding on this because it is not in scripture ...God does not love only some unto salvation and yet

hold men who had no choice accountable.
Amen.....we have the mind of Christ and it speaks volumes to the 20th power if we will just believe it and not embellish it with the spewings of man from the 1500's!

And yet we are also told that God wants all to come to repentance, He is pursuing but not forcing, where is the middle ground?
Amen.......God would have ALL MEN be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth.

And a sheep that has wandered....NOT A GOAT needing to be made a SHEEP....TO THE FOLLOWING misapplication of truth.....

Sackcloth-N-Ashes said:
God wants us to come to Him? Then what about Matthew 18:12-14 where it shows He actively pursues His lost sheep?

its fatalism

fatalism is a term used by any to describe a view that god has made up his mind who he elects and who he does not. and no one has a say in the matter. Their eternity is determined. (fatalism)
Exactly what they peddle......My bible says clearly God would have ALL be saved......not just the Calvinists....!

how many times do we need to speak to the point this is not true. and you are claiming people are saying something they have not said?
One of about three or four "go to arguments" because their doctrine does not measure up......think about this....he makes this argument in the same manner as those that peddle a self sustained salvation...I.E. we can sin all we want because we rightfully believe in eternal security........

Many are called, few chosen

God would have ALL MEN be saved, come to repentance, knowledge of the truth

For God so loved the KOSMOS

Those three right there in context proves Calvinism to be false....as well as a few posters on this thread

Why do you keep adding the word "owed"?

Who claims anyone thinks they are OWED anything?
The poster you just addressed openly admits he is a Calvinist, which is not biblical....like I said.....guess the Lord's churches got it wrong for some 1500 years before this ex-Catholic named Calvin came along.......similar to Joseph Smith, Charles Russell and a few others....Johnny come lately and his errors are still being pushed as gospel truth.

Apparently you were not saved from Bansville. Believe me, you won't be missed.
@tourist ...
No disrespect to you , but your comment is not very nice , I mean the man cannot even defend himself against your comment...
What will you do when in heaven , would you turn your back on him ? , this is what Jesus says

John 13:34
A new commandment I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so also you must love one another.

I can understand people debating Scripture , and not agreeing with each other , but this was personal...

I know. You don’t think it’s fair. I get that. That was the point of my post. I’ll let God decide what is and isn’t fair. Not me.

Job should be required monthly reading to remind Christians that Gods ways are not our ways, and we should never presume for Him.
This is one example of how I see others putting demands on God; He must do this, or He must do that, and since He elects whom He wills, then He isn't fair, and then if He isn't fair He can't be God. Then to top that off I heard something like no one here believes that or teaches that or whatever.

Oh, but they do.

Job had limited information.....we have the mind of Christ and a complete revelation!

Amen?

Please tell me you do not believe this?

It does not empty the cross of the power.

Remember Jesus said he must be lifted up and as moses lifted up the seprent in the wilderness so must man be lifted up so that whoever believes.

The children of Israel had to chose in faith to look up at the serpent on the pole.. They looked up. Like you and I looked up to the cross in faith.

Did they Earn their salvation because they looked to the serpent?

No. No more than we can EARN salvation by looking to the cross[/QUOTE]

Amen.....the bible is FULL OF PROOF that men MUST MAKE A DECISION AND CHOOSE.......from front to back it is about CHOICE. EVEN JESUS as a MAN HAD TO CHOOSE!

but that is just an argument using what you believe

it does not make it a fact.

Again, When it comes to Gods love, It is not a demand, It is an outpouring of his love to all.

Its not a demand, It is an expecting him to hold up to his own character and also living up to what he demands from us, WHich is to love all unconditionally.
