and so, let us 'over-come' EVERY ASPECT of our 'sinful nature', - and may we desire to replace it with
'the True Nature of Jesus Christ, our Lord'...
I'm not sure we will perfectly overcome our sin nature to the point of :sinless: perfection, but I believe we will be further along experientially than where we first started, at least that's my desire. :)
In a way it has been replaced via the new birth.

both of our experiences have been, that IF we do everything' with ALL of our power and might', to OVER-COME our
weaknesses and sins, darn, we STILL FALL SHORT!, but, guess what, Jesus STEPS UP, and gives us the very
'last helping hand to OVER-COME', and thus, we DO, -
as it is written:
'JOHN 15:5.
I Am The Vine, you are the branches: He that abides in Me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit:
for without ME you can do nothing.!!!

I AM POSITIVE WILL NOT OVERCOME OUR SIN NATURE IN THIS BODY. We do not get to claim Sinless Perfection in this body, THAT IS WHAT THE GLORIFIED BODY IS ALL ABOUT.

Ecclesiastes 7:20 (NKJV)
20 For there is not a just man on earth who does good And does not sin.

Psalm 53:1-3 (HCSB)
1 The fool says in his heart, “God does not exist.” They are corrupt, and they do vile deeds. There is no one who does good.
2 God looks down from heaven on the human race to see if there is one who is wise, one who seeks God.
3 All have turned away; all alike have become corrupt. There is no one who does good, not even one.

Romans 3:12 (HCSB)
12 All have turned away; all alike have become useless. There is no one who does what is good, not even one.

Philippians 3:8-12 (NASB77)
8 More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish in order that I may gain Christ,
9 and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith,
10 that I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death;
11 in order that I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.
12 Not that I have already obtained it, or have already become perfect, but I press on in order that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus.

Yup, I was just trying to put it diplomatically to the person I was responding to.

Remember what they wrote: (Post 148260)...

Cross, to us, it certainly sounds as if VCO is referring to the 'old-man' and NOT the NEW CREATION...

we definitely believe as Paul does, that we are pre-destined according to our 'calling' -
but that in NO WAY nullifies our 'carnal/lives/nature' which almost ALL of us live OUT,
and Practice the 'sinful behaviour' of which Paul speaks of...
and so, let us 'over-come' EVERY ASPECT of our 'sinful nature', - and may we desire to replace it with
'the True Nature of Jesus Christ, our Lord'...
The conflict is indeed real and the greater the transformation (Romans 12:1-2) the more we submit to the Spirit and walk accordingly!

Every time we "submit" our spirit to the Holy Spirit, a battle has been overcome within ourselves. As for reaching perfection over our flesh, that will never be achieved while we are on earth. Doesn't mean we shouldn't try.

Did we worship God before we were born? How can we worship what we have not accepted? IMO we worshiped Him after we became an accepting child. I believe we were made for the purpose of worshiping and fellowship with our God the Creator.

You know.....interesting concept...why this grand experiment under the sun? Unless an obvious statement of fact or reason...like Jesus.....there really is no cut n dry answer....we have all surmised, guessed or supposed something.....I personally believe it goes deeper than what we surmise on the surface....Job, combined with a few scriptures and a few hints seem to point to a reason for the "experiment" under the sun.... ;)

Dear HisHolly : apparently , your right. You cannot throw out works. But you should keep on trying. Rest in His perfected sacrifice. Jesus did it all for you. Be blessed.

JESUS DID IT ALL!

GET THE RIGHT MOTIVE.

Our Obedience NEVER has anything to do with SALVATION, it is a GIFT OF GOD.

The Right Motive is because we AGAPE LOVE GOD with the EXACT same LOVE HE had the HOLY SPIRIT sowed into our Heart, Human Spirit.

It NEVER IMPROVES SALVATION or ENHANCES SALVATION!

You FALSELY Claim any part of your SALVATION, you ROB JESUS of the GLORY that SOLELY BELONGS TO HIM.

Romans 5:1-10 (HCSB)
1 Therefore, since we have been declared righteous by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
2 We have also obtained access through Him by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.
3 And not only that, but we also rejoice in our afflictions, because we know that affliction produces endurance,
4 endurance produces proven character, and proven character produces hope.
5 This hope will not disappoint ⌊us⌋, because God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit
who was given to us.

6 For while we were still helpless, at the appointed moment, Christ died for the ungodly.
7 For rarely will someone die for a just person—though for a good person perhaps someone might even dare to die.
8 But God proves His own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us!
9 Much more then, since we have now been declared righteous by His blood, we will be saved through Him from wrath.
10 For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, ⌊then how⌋ much more, having been reconciled, will we be saved by His life!

New King James Version
“I will also make it a possession for the porcupine, And marshes of muddy water; I will sweep it with the broom of destruction,” says the LORD of hosts.

King James Bible
I will also make it a possession for the bittern, and pools of water: and I will sweep it with the besom of destruction, saith the LORD of hosts.

I found it!!

Now I need to go learn more about it. :D

My bible stayes that MAN BELIEVES UNTO RIGHTEOUSNESS.....not is made right and then believes......!!!

“Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved.”
Acts 16:31

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.
John 3:14-15

In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
Ephesians 1:13

Amen.
Let God be true .. plainly written over and over again.

There are some that will ride the horse straight to the proverbial gates of hell due to their pride and inability to be honest with the truth!!!
