You forgot the best one....

knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.
AMEN....it seems obvious that the workers for above do not believe that Jesus paid for our sins with his shed blood.....of course....they work for their reward instead of accepting the free GIFT.....

Rom 6:22

But now that you have been freed from sin and have become God's slaves, the benefit you reap is sanctification, and the result is eternal life.

by this..

Act 17:28 For we live, move, and exist because of him, as some of your own poets have said: 'For we are his children, too.'

Revelation 21
6Then He said to me, “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost. 7He who overcomes will inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be My son. 8“But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

Have you ever noticed in the scriptures it will say something like "he who", "the one that", "anyone", etc., plus verses like V8 above where it simply calls them what they are.

Scripture never says "the sinner", or "the saved person", or "the christian". Why is that?

God is being very plain when He speaks of
"the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars".

He means every sinner, every backslidden christian, every christian who purposely & willfully sins against God, every one that turns back from God.....

There's no "special" group..... if they're committing these sins willingly they're all
gonna pay the price for them. There's no difference between them.

If this is an issue of "TITLES", maybe you are overlooking the two which are at the core meaning of ANY people... those titles being, "BELIEVERS and UNBELIEVERS" which I KNOW you will find throughout the scriptures... sometimes in the form of "Those who BELIEVED God... or Those who did NOT BELIEVE"... usually followed up with blessings (for the believers) or curses (for the UNBELIEVERS) ... through out the OLD and NEW Testaments. Surely you do see those??? If not, just for light reading, Exodus and Revelation are filled with the titles AND consequences for both.

That's just it..... it doesn't call them unbelievers or unbelievers..... it simply says if they purposely commit such sins, they will be condemned, sinner or saint.

Sure, some will say they were never saved, but those once truly saved do this. The Apostasy is proof of it.

MAYBE you should read more instead of espousing and pushing falsehood Jim...HOW would you describe the bolded below

He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world

AND the HOLY spirit convicts of SIN because they BELIEVE NOT ON ME

Yes they are titles, but do you know how many people even on this thread profess Jesus Christ and Lord and Savior then tell people....yeah, well I am just an ole woe and poe sinner saved by grace...

NO maam! you are a sin-forgiven saint, who will still sin, but has the resurrection power of the Spirit of him, who raised Jesus quickening them to become victorious over SIN.

We do not let people call us dirty names, so why should we let Satan allow us to call others and ourselves sinners, if we profess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior!?!?

I believe Jesus died to set me free from the curse of sin & make me a son of God by the adoption of the Spirit.

According to YOUR beliefs, I don't need to believe or do anything else after that.

Kinda think proper context about what we inherit is in vs 1-6 and then it transitions to those who do not inerit...unbeleiving is there in black and white...

Did they become unbelieving, because they never believed ever? Sure

Did they become unbelieving, because they fell away into apostasy and then stopped believing? Sure

Roger,

You have it backwards.

When you were NOT born again you DID NOT have real Free Will. You were not truly free.
Because you were a slave to sin. You were under the submission to sin and to the evil one.

Once you became born again, you became TRULY FREE.
John 8:32
You will know the truth and the truth will make you truly free.

The truth (at least some of it) is that you were under the domain of satan before.
Knowing this, and his hold on you, will now MAKE YOU FREE.

Now you have true free will because you are no longer a slave to sin, but a slave to the TRUTH.
Romans 6:14
Romans 6:6
Romans 6:16

John 8:32
My will was corrupted by sin. Now my will is renewed in Christ. Where once I served sin now I serve my Savior.

For the cause of Christ

Ummmm Hebrews 9:24-25-26 "24 For Christ did not enter a sanctuary made with human hands that was only a copy of the true one; he entered heaven itself, now to appear for us in God’s presence.
25 Nor did he enter heaven to offer himself again and again, the way the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood that is not his own.
26 Otherwise Christ would have had to suffer many times since the creation of the world. But he has appeared once for all at the culmination of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself.

I do not know how a saint quits believing but they remain a saint. Jesus is faithful even when we are not. He never leaves nor forsakes us.
