I was not asking you. I don't think they do have a good heart, why would you think they do, not even God agrees with that. "They" do it repeatedly and not by accident.
I know you weren't asking. It is a free forum. I can state my opinions just like you.

I believe they have good hearts because I have seen them show Christ's love to others and I know God is working in their lives just as He works in mine.

I believe we are all under spiritual attack that seeks for us to fight one another because the forces of darkness are scared if we actually reached unity in love against them (unseen whispers in the dark who promote false doctrines and division)

You can call me names and think I am foolish for my words, but what does that say about you?

Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Are you in Christ Jesus? Then you need not fear. Solomon said a lot of things, perhaps, but I listen to Jesus, Who said all, ALL the law and all the prophets were fulfilled by loving God first and your neighbor second.

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. That is Romans chapter eight verse one, what are you adding to it???

1 John 4:18 again I do not see what you claim is there:
There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

You can fear God all you want, but I will love Him, for He first loved me and took the penalty for sin upon Himself in my place, and HIS perfect love casts out fear, that is Biblical but you argue against it.
Well said!

Those that live with the Old Testament mindset still operate from that understanding of the fear of the Lord and mix up the 2 covenants and thus as Jesus said - a little leaven ruins the whole lump. In the New Covenant things have changed. We love because He first loved us.

In the New Covenant we have better promises and the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ speaks of better things.

We have reverence and awe when we see the grace and love our Lord and our loving Father have for us. It is the goodness of God that leads us to repentance - to change our mind on how we think on things - to agree with what Jesus has done and to rely on His finished work alone for life and living and He alone is our righteousness.

Romans 8:15-16 (NASB)
[SUP]15 [/SUP] For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, "Abba! Father!"

[SUP]16 [/SUP] The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God,

I agree.

There is a movement out there in the world, who believe like "they" do.

When you get to know them, let me just say it ain't pretty, they are the biggest fruit inspectors and it is not just the 10 Commandments, it becomes Jesus commands this, Jesus commands that and on and on. Every word is interpreted in the new testament is again all about condemnation and falling short.:(

I think this is what happens when you place law above grace and love.

And don't get me started on how view woman.

Right, just like I am free to say I did not ask you. What names did I call you???

You say the us and them mentality saddens your soul but you have your own breakdowns of us and them, I have seen it, so get sad all you want, defend the liars and pretenders all you want, pretend they do not do the same things over and over again and then act innocent or pretend it does not exist when their blatant lies are pointed out to them, where their exegetical errors are made clear to them, nothing changes them, they are hell bent on trying to destroying God's elect, they work for Satan, us and them, hmm, yeah, I stand with those on the side of God, there is a decided division, pick your side carefully, or pretend there are no sides, if you prefer.

I agree is it a hard truth to accept but the evidence is there.

Having said that I do think God uses them as well for good. I know He did for me.

It moved me out of my law-abiding fear to love-abiding joy!!

Amen!

Amen :) For we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Even Balaam's ass was put to good use in the service of God.

There are two types of fear talked about in the Bible like two types of sorrow, but I doubt conversation is gonna happen if you have already judged folks as from Satan.
.

Division and false doctrine are from Satan.
.our war is NOT against flesh and blood.

All words that will probably fall on deaf ears.

Yeah, I have my moments just like anyone else. That is why I need a savior. I know if there is any good found in me and my words it's because God places it within me and teaches me His goodness.
.so I will just find the scriptures.

I choose to stand by God's truth, even if the world thinks me weak for choosing NOT to judge and condemn others for their behavior and beliefs. Even if people
Yell that gentleness is just being wishy washy.

God sees our hearts and knows the truth of why we speak and what we need to hear.

Re: The law is good if used rightly

I can pull out scriptures if needed but I will just state simply what I believe about the law.

1. It leads us to Christ (by showing us that we are sinners in need of a savior)

2. It keeps us from falling into Satan's traps, by warning of things that can spiritually damage us

3. It is meant to give us rest and peace and not to be used as a legalistic club to condemn people (example Jesus says the Sabbath is made for ma, and not man for the Sabbath)

Would you like scriptures? Do you get what I am trying to say?
Here are the scriptures...

1. Romans 3

21But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it— 22the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: 23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God’s righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins. 26It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

2.
10Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.14Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints,” (Eph. 6:10-18)

“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil,” (Eph. 6:11).

3.Matthew 12
2But when the Pharisees saw it, they said to him, “Look, your disciples are doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath.” 3He said to them, “Have you not read what David did when he was hungry, and those who were with him: 4how he entered the house of God and ate the bread of the Presence, which it was not lawful for him to eat nor for those who were with him, but only for the priests? 5Or have you not read in the Law how on the Sabbath the priests in the temple profane the Sabbath and are guiltless? 6I tell you, something greater than the temple is here. 7And if you had known what this means, ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the guiltless. 8For the Son of Man is lord of the Sabbath.”

the road is narrow but the path to hell is wide and easy and many will follow it............

FEW WILL FOLLOW THE GOOD PATH AND MANY WILL FOLLOW THE CROOKED PATH BECUASE ITS WIDE AND EASY AND STRAIGHT TO HELL PAL... ALL THO I HOPE NOT FOR YOU OR ANYONE........
When Satan reminds me of my sin and my past, I remind him of his future. There is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. Satan is the accuser of the saints.

During the Passover, the families that had the blood of the lamb on their door post were spared death whether they sinned or not; Those that have the blood of Christ on their temple, will never die, but I cannot say the same for those that follow the accuser of the saints and the author of confusion.

What makes us saints is Jesus in our heart. All that have been covered by the blood of Christ are my family, and we stick together, because nothing can separate us from the love of Christ, and we know who we are on this forum and we enjoy the sweet fellowship of the saints. PTL

When we quote Scripture, it should be the Lord saying it at that time or we're not preaching Christ!

"FEW WILL FOLLOW THE GOOD PATH" that is because few want Christ as their Savior.

"AND MANY WILL FOLLOW THE CROOKED PATH BECUASE ITS WIDE AND EASY AND STRAIGHT TO HELL PAL..." The crooked path is the road without Christ as your Savior.

"ALL THO I HOPE NOT FOR YOU OR ANYONE." God also doesn't want that any should perish, but that all should come to the knowledge of truth. Jesus is the Truth, the Way and the Life; The Truth and way is not us trying to follow the straight path in our own strength.

"the road is narrow but the path to hell is wide and easy and many will follow it............" There is no easy path "the way of the transgressor is hard" and no one goes to hell blind folded!

Paul did call those who were preaching circumcision and the law, false brethren in Galatians Ariel. I know it's hard words but he was protective of the message of grace. If we are putting on Christ, there is no need for laws.

Paul said alot of things and He also said not to judge those who refuses to eat meat because of their weak faith.

He called the Galatians foolish and bewitched...he did not condemn to hell, he corrected them and taught them God's truth.

Right, just like I am free to say I did not ask you. What names did I call you???
She didn't say you called her names' she said you can call her names, but I'm sure you won't do that, because you love her as your sister in Christ. Right?

What we are discussing is exactly WHAT IS THE GOSPEL of CHRIST and what did Paul preach?

Whether you think the members on this thread are the foolish Galatians or the false teachers of the law, takes second place to the truly important Calling of preaching the gospel in season and out of season.

Its just a distraction tactic that too many people fall victim too.

***
Galatians 1

6I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— 7not that there is another one, but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. 8But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. 9As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed.

10For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servantb of Christ.

I believe Paul taught that Jesus died for the remission of our sins, rose again and ascended into Heaven. Currently reigning as King from His heavenly throne.

He sent the Holy spirit to guide and protect us. We are sealed until His return because God transforms our hearts and minds to see the wisdom of following His laws and obeying His commandments which is to love God and love one another with the agape love He has given us. Sacrificial love and forgiveness even when we didn't deserve it.

The true meaning of grace is that we get what we don't desrve because God loves us....we are allowed to cry out to Him as Abba Father. He chastens every child and leads us to live godly lives.
.however he does NOT condemn people according to the law.

WE did NOTHING to EARN or keep our salvation.

we can choose to obey God or sin and be chastened by Him.

That does not change God's love. Many don't understand agape love because it's not of this world. It is of God and we can only give it to others if we first felt it given to us from God.

We forgive because we were forgiven

We love others because God first loved us.

We have "proper righteousness" because of Christ "alien righteousness" was imputed upon us and the Holy spirit has empowered us to live godly lives for God's glory.

We are called to be lights of the world and not meant to hide.

We are told to tame our tongues and bless and not curse others.

We are told to stand for God's truth and NOT fall for the tricks and the lies of the devil.

We are told to not let the sun set upon our anger. To forgive and give it to God. To do good and not repay evil for evil. Go the extra mile. Turn the other cheek. Love our enemies.

No you are right. False but brethren. And that's what we are doing isn't it here? There's resistance. I don't know why as yet. And I don't know for sure if Paul was able to teach those who were trying to change things with the Galatians faith. Do you?

You have a tender heart Ariel. And I understand.
