Yes we are reading about Jesus but that is not the same as saying the Bible IS Jesus. Or the seed we plant into others hearts by our words is us planting "Jesus" into their hearts.

We plant words ABOUT JESUS, which is the Gospel.

Only God can plant Jesus via the Holy spirit and cause people to be born again.

I think you plant Jesus in their hearts by giving them the word. The HS helps them understand that word so they can receive it,

Once they receive the word, and repent, and ask God for his mercy and salvation based on what the word tells them, THEN God seals them with the spirit.

You put Jesus in your heart by learning all you can about him, there is only one reliable source, and that is his word which is him.

The gospel is ABOUT Jesus and what He did upon the cross for the forgiveness of sins, rose again, ascended into Heaven and sent His Holy spirit to allow us to be born again and cry out Abba Father.

The letter from The King is not the King Himself, nor is His messenger the letter or the King. There is a difference between the message and the person who sends the message.

The point is if people sow the Word (meaning Jesus) into others lives and not the GOSPEL.... Then the parable would be corrupted.

How does Satan steal Jesus from people hearts?

How does the world choke out Jesus from people's lives?

How does rocky ground give shallow roots to Jesus?

Is Satan, the world and rocky ground more powerful than Jesus?

No. Once Jesus is placed in a believer's heart, all of those things are rooted out and destroyed. They are spiritual strongholds that need to be torn down.

The parable is about the GOSPEL being spread to the world. Some will reject the gospel (Satan steals their understanding and blinds them). Some will nominally accept but have no true roots (stony ground). Some will accept but be doubleminded and value the world more than God's promises (thorny ground). A few will accept and bear fruit. The first fruit is being born again of the Holy spirit by confessing with one's mouth a saving faith in the Gospel.

Romans 8
23 Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies.

Again, I think The gospel message starts in Gen 1: 1 and ends in rev 22

It speaks of man, His creation, His fall. Gods Demand, Gods provision, Gods mercy, His grace, His forgiveness, His plan of salvation, The result of that polan, His son, His sons sacrifice, The church, History past present and future of mankind, And the end result.

Let's be practical....how do you "sow the Word/Jesus" into people's lives?

Also how do you explain how the Word (aka Jesus) is taken away by Satan from people's hearts,

Hi Ariel,

Yes it indeed is part of the Gospel. Have you considered these other verses and what they mean? Here is Jesus preaching "the Gospel" before his death, burial and resurrection after his Baptism with John.

Mar 1:15
And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

Mar 8:35
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.

Mat 4:23

And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

Mat 9:35
And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people

Mat 11:5
The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

Mat 24:14
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Luk 4:18
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Luk 7:22
Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.

Luk 20:1
And it came to pass, that on one of those days, as he taught the people in the temple, and preached the gospel, the chief priests and the scribes came upon him with the elders

Well there is many more of the same. So let me ask the question again.. what is the Gospel?

God bless

1. By teaching it
2. By living it
3. By proving it
4. By sharing it

Also how do you explain how the Word (aka Jesus) is taken away by Satan from people's hearts,
By satan implanting a false word, or making the true word unreliable.

Because the whole OT was about him,
THe whole Bible is about Jesus....that doesn't change the fact in the parable we don't sow "Jesus". God sows His gospel message ABOUT JESUS into the world and then explains why some folks aren't saved.

Nope it does not, Neither did the old. It did bring about punishment though, and is something we should follow because it is to our benefit. We need to rest,, That's why God wanted us to rest.

The Gospel meaning is literally "Good News" the good news is Jesus! (John 3:16) And Jesus is the Word of God (John 1:1-4). The Word of God is the Gospel and we are to live by every Word of it (Matt 4:4) Life come by faith in God's Words! He must increase and I must decrease.

God bless you

PS

Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. (Luke 8:11; Matt 13:22-23)

How do you think God does it? Does God just tell people about Jesus, or does he have his children tell them about Jesus?

EG I was talking to LGF with that one...he keeps asking me what the Gospel is...

perhaps you can help him figure it out?

Or maybe he will stop playing games and just say what he believes.

I believe He sends His kids to do it but He also prepares the way beforehand. He sends dreams and other signs to those He calls to himself.

Some people think it's all them and don't see how God has already done so much in the lives of all God sends us to speak with.

We may just plant a seed and never see it grow.another may come and water the thoughts. Another help clear the rocks. Another help weed the thorns. Another chase away the demons. However all is done by God's design and direction. To God the glory and the increase.

The firstfruitis being born again by the Holy spirit after a verbal confession of true saving faith rooted in the gospel of Christ.
