Apparently not. HeRose continues to willingly sin by deliberately slandering and bearing false witness against others, and shows no remorse or guilt or need for repentance whatsoever.

we thought anyone would automatically know that if they 'willingly' sinned and had no remorse or
guilt or need for 'repentance' after they believed/thought who they now were in Christ Jesus, after conversion,
and that they were not responsible for their actions, then, to us, it would be obvious that their 'thought/belief'
were in vain...another words, they were believing satan's 'counterfeit gospel...
We are all responsible for what we do with our bodies....and we should be repenting constantly as we find new truths concerning the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus and our loving Father. True grace-believers repent constantly and love doing it!

Exactly ... I'm just coming to the realization now how important it is to underline that licentiousness in grace is unacceptable. Not everyone seems to know this. We assume they would ... but not all DO.
There is no such thing as being licentious and calling it grace...not for true grace-believers...if we are under grace - it will teach us to live godly in this present world.

People can fall from grace because of legalism just as quick as from living deliberately in sin without even wanting to change.

I agree..in order to get the "fruit"..we need to preach the gospel of the grace of Christ...for in "IT" is the power of God for salvation. We need to hear the gospel every day as believers......as it is contrary to this world.

Romans 1:16-17 (NASB)
[SUP]16 [/SUP] For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

[SUP]17 [/SUP] For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "BUT THE RIGHTEOUS man SHALL LIVE BY FAITH."

I don't know or care what you believe. Paul Ellis is a popular "grace" teacher and one person here virtually worships him. Ellis represents the norm.

Wow...did you ever hit a nerve! I have always labelled my parents as being extreme legalists. I was not allowed to go to my own high school prom because 'Dancing is a SIN". I was not allowed to shoot a game of pool, have playing cards in my house, and my rock 'n roll music was demonic. If I back-talked to mom, she would shake her fist at me and declare "When you have children some day, I hope they repay you ten times worse than what you say to me." Dad was to say a prayer at my daughter's wedding before the reception began. Suddenly, he looked at me and said "I cannot and will not bless this meal because I see champagne on the table!" They also walked out and left the celebration because I, her father, danced with my daughter! Do I love my parents? Extremely! Are they going to hell for being legalistic? NO...they just make life on this earth a little less enjoyable when they are around. All of that will change in heaven..Their past legalistic ways will be long forgotten.

Getting back on topic...Can a believer be a liar? A thief? A fornicator? Can a believer get caught up in the works of the flesh and still have grace?

"life that is in us in Christ" is Biblical concept:

"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me." Gal 2:20

You are comparing apples to oranges, again bearing false testimony of grace believers.

No. But a believer can surely get caught up in those things.

'Grace'believers. You figure out who they are. Sorry I don't play this game anymore of 'grace' believers saying this or that, and then later claiming that they didn't say this or that. Constant redefinitions and shape-shifting is their modus operandi. We know what they believe, and it just gets better every day. They can't hide anymore.

That's basically correct, but I don't believe that we must do works. It's all about being led by the spirit and doing what it says. If it says to do something and we don't, well that would/could be a problem. But we most definitely MUST strive to refrain from doing sin.

You must do the righteous work of abstaining from sin and doing the will of GOD in order to be saved.
"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost" Titus 3:5

Who on earth is Paul Ellis? I've never heard of him and now I am supposedly condemned as being a "gnostic" when I have never read or heard of this person? When I have always tried to live according the the precepts laid out clearly in the Bible?

This place just gets weirder and weirder!

Amen!..I have no problem sticking with my comment that sin is ignorance of the life that is in us in Christ. It doesn't mean that we should sin all we want now..lol...

It is a completely different truth then what the so-called gnostics were saying.......it's always in the "twist" of what is said to make it "appear" that something else is being said, then what is meant...that's the crux of all of this....but it is to be expected....:).

One simple point. God established the meaning of repentance through Israel.
This is record in scripture about what it means. Now using greek a similar word is used to represent the same concept within christianity. To go and say the greek meaning of the word defines the real meaning within what God intends is literally to ignore the whole of the history God laid down over 2,000 years.

I have no doubt that those who want to change Jesus and His meaning into another faith this is a gift on a plate.
Repeating this mistake does not make it true.

Another example of this is the use of the greek word agape, which has meaning specifically in a christian context to represent Jesus's sacrificial love in giving His life for us.

Agreed. Notice the language in 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, Paul names the unbelievers as people:

9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

Notice Paul names them as people; fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, drunkards, thieves, etc...when referring to an unbeliever, Scripture names the works of the flesh as people groups. A Christian cannot be a fornicator. A Christian cannot be a drunkard or a thief, etc...A Christian is a Christian. A Christian my lie, but that does not make him a liar; it makes him a Christian who told a lie. A Christian cannot "live in sin." A Christian lives in Jesus Christ.
