I'll ask you the same question that I asked HeRose earlier. Do you believe that we have to get saved every time we sin?
I know this question makes sense. But if our faith is reckoned as righteousness, it is our faith that keeps the relationship going rather than 100% purity or righteousness.

If you have a process of sanctification you also require the ability to ignore certain behaviour because of the desire to follow Jesus. As Paul argues this is what made Abraham righteous, and likewise us.

Jesus's imputed righteousness if true, obviously implies you are saved for good, because if this righteousness is ones own righteousness, there is never any sin for judgement. If on the other hand, faith is reckoned as righteousness, it is the desire to follow and obey that keeps ones faith on track, no matter the stumbles. Peter stumbled in the denial of Jesus, yet Jesus prayed for his faith to hold strong, ie the relationship was founded on faith that produced obedience rather than Peter was forgiven no matter what.

Whosoever commits sins is the servant of sin, "whosoever" there is not limited to the scribes and Pharisees only, that is just wishful thinking on your part. And if you don't believe the words of Jesus I posted, then why should you believe me? :)

And you still sin, so that makes you a servant of sin - doesn't it?

Just truly strange, IMO, that a a person joins this forum and resurrects an OLD OLD thread and declares that Romans 11 proves the op

and then makes a blog entry about it also as if that makes it a fact

S T R A N G E
ya why not just make a thread to do that? there seems to be a deeper possibly darker intent behind it

I wouldn't bother trying to discuss or debate this with him. He is not at the point where he is willing to listen but one day i'm sure God will give him a teachable heart

Many teach ongoing sin cannot effect your eternal security, this is totally false doctrine as Jesus shows here in John 8:33-36 "They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?[SUP]34 [/SUP]Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
[SUP]35 [/SUP]And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.
[SUP]36 [/SUP]If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed."

Also many preach you cannot be set free from the bondage and power of sin in this life, this is also a lie as Jesus also explained above. :)
That's strange Blain

I have NEVER EVER seen ANYONE here post what you are saying

Does that perhaps happen among people you know personally?

Can you show us who in this forum states we can live in sin or continue in sin without repentance and show we are saved?

I'd REALLY like to see those posts...I must have somehow missed them

What on earth are you talking about to state that many preach we cannot be set free from sin? What on earth?

These are false statements
