Psalma,

Right on——-when I attended grammar school, first grade, the nuns stated as you began your day upon rising say, "All for thee, sweet Jesus, all for thee. Today, I spiced it up a little with a bit of Latin.

Actually this is more than clarification this is accusation ... "derailing this thread for their own purposes" ... and this is the third time you bring this up. Roaring is a wonderful witness for the Gospel ... and many of the brethren are doing a wonderful job here helping the new-born in Christ.
It's not an accusation, it's a warning; "...who would..." implies that the event hasn't occurred yet.

If you go back to Post #505 and review the comments from 505-510 and still do not understand why I cautioned against derailing the thread--then PM me about it, if you're that concerned.

Amen!...In knowing our security in Him - this brings on true maturity while we grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ our Lord! It is important for the "little" ones to be sheltered from the wolves and for their hearts to be established in the grace of our Lord.

Hebrews 13:8-9 (KJV)
[SUP]8 [/SUP] Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
[SUP]9 [/SUP] Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.

Amen! That is why we should call out the false doctrine and continue contending for the faith!

"Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints." Jude 1:3

Well if you're going to publicly provide testimony against me--I'd surely like to know what it is that I've done that you perceive as contrary to Christ.

4 of your recent posts in this thread that rebuke other posters:

#1 - The OP is a 19 year old female who has very recently made the decision to accept Jesus Christ as Lord of her life! Please keep your audience(s) in mind.

#2 -...still trying to picture these 25 pages of comments through the eyes of a babe in Christ, as the OP...

#3 - Come on guys, don't turn this babe-in-Christ's thread into a Sinless Perfection vs. OSAS argument.

Then roaring explained why this discussion is important ... and how it is on topic:
"Eternal security is an extremely important doctrine for a babe in Christ to understand. Satan knows we are safe in him, but he never stops propagating condemnation to believers!"

And you respond:
#4 What on earth does this have to do with the OP or with my comment to those who would derail this thread for their own purposes?

And so I asked you if you thought you were a moderator to be directing conversation and constantly rebuking people who are posting "good witness of OSAS" on this thread...and you deny that you ever did.

I am not being a false witness ...

I am not being a false witness ...
1. I didn't know what you meant by "are you a moderator" until you just recently clarified (blue text).
2. I'm not rebuking those who are being a good witness--I'm cautioning against bickering and advising people to keep the OP in mind.

You see these as "rebuking" (sharp disapproval or criticism)? I see them as general reminders--not aimed at anyone or any specific comment.

You also failed to mention Posts 505, 506, and 507 which prompted my Post 510.

With those posts in mind, is my comment still uncalled for?

Post 512 was a direct response to roaringkitten's Post 511 (which is response to Post 510).

I was asking for clarification, nothing more.

I'm also not (intentionally) being stubborn. If there's something I'm not seeing--help me see it.

As I said earlier, the doctrine of eternal security is very important for a Babe in Christ. Just as a new physical baby is most vulnerable just after birth, so is a babe in Christ vulnerable to the enemy if not properly fed the Word of God and taught the essential doctrines of the faith. The Bible does say something about being tossed around by deceitful doctrine:

"That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive" Eph 4:14

OSAS - When the light goes on, why would you want to switch it off?

Ever see the matrix film. There is a character in the first film who loves the illusion better than real life, and wants to re-integrated. There is always a conflict between what you want to experience and feel and what you can experience and feel.

The illusion is always it is possible to live in an imaginary world because the real world is too tough to handle.
But imagine if you could not only handle the real world, but get everything you really need and want.

Now for me I am simple and humble in heart. All I want is to know one thing I do has value and helps others. Now you may think this is a small thing, not ambitious enough, without purpose or content. But then you start to unwrap the question what actually has value, and what does help another? Some have got to the point to say that it is impossible to do even one authentic action. If you had everything in the world what would you want to do?

This is where Jesus walks in and says I am the creator. Learn of me and nothing is without possibility or focus.

If it is true man dwells in darkness, driven by emotional desires, not understanding why, then maybe, just maybe there is no other way. So for me OSAS is from the world of disbelief and not understanding life. It is linked to those who fear falling away and love sin, who do not want or walk in the ultimate reality. But hey, this is probably too deep for most of you, but it helps me get a focus, build a family, share the love I have and know it really does matter, because Jesus created it to matter.

Salvation is not an experience of wants and desires. (althhough God wants to give us all these things, they are a result of salvation, not salvation itself.)

it is your position in christ, are you saved, adopted as Gods child. and alive in him,

or are you dead in sin, need saved, and an enemy of the cross.

Both people have feelings which can be good or bad.. The feelings do not matter, what atters is what God said. Are you his child. .or are you on the outside looking in, If your on the outside Alll the good feeling religious duties you do which make you think you are a child of God are useless. God calls them filthy rags, and totally useless.

For you, You need to repent and come to Christ as a babe, in total humility.. Otherwise, you will remain in your deceived emotional position which going the wrong way

Sounds to me, like you still do not understand what these folks mean by "OSAS".

EG I got to say, your assumptions are all wrong.

If you stand in a room and say my name, with me present, I say, "How can I help you?"

Now the difference in interaction with the Lord between the two of us appears to be the same, except you have a complex about self condemnation. The grace position is even focused on ignoring or not being sensitive to sin at all.

You though want me to be so sensitive to sin, I realise nothing I do is acceptable to Christ even when I walk in faith.
But this is the exact opposite of what Jesus tells us. We are His children and we want from our hearts to obey Him.

Now you have made me your enemy. I have not said or done anything to make you behave this way or believe what you believe. The simplest test I can say about faith, is does your heart cry "Abba Father." When you see others are you thinking about how to reach out and how to care, to meet needs.

You have helped me understand you are either born a sheep or a goat. I can no more persuade you or show you things your heart is not open to. So I cannot tell you what you need to do, because I think you have already tried everything and come up empty. I truly hope the Lord continues to bless you and bring you His grace and peace to your life.

I can actually do no more, because that is my heart.

Colossians 2:6-8 (NASB)
[SUP]6 [/SUP] Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him,

[SUP]7 [/SUP] having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude.

[SUP]8 [/SUP] See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ.
