i know that I am one of the elect because I understand the scriptures perfectly well, while the hypocrites always twist and corrupt the Word of God. Everything I believe, perfectly lines up with scripture so that is proof that I am a true believer. There are many here who don't believe all the scriptures, they pick and choose only those that they can use to support their false beliefs.
That's exactly what they believe about you and I. Word for word. There are over 50k denominations. All who believe they alone "perfectly line up with" and understand the word of God. Each thinking everyone else is wrong. Pride is a funny thing isn't it.

On Aug 30, 2018 you submitted a post (here) wherein you claimed a certain situation had occurred.

I replied in Post #2,375 and submitted Scripture in response to your claim.

Since then, we have been discussing the issue you initially brought up in your Post #2,358 and I provided a link to all your posts you submitted in our discussion (here). There is no Scripture submitted by you in your posts dealing with this issue.

For you to now claim "[you] have given [me] hundreds of scriptures" and then further claim "but [ I ] just ignore them because [ I ] don't believe all the scriptures" and that "[ I ] pick the scriptures which [ I ] can twist and make them support [my] false views" is nothing but a lie and is an ad hominem attack on your part.

Your inability to discuss in a mature manner is indicative of your inability to Scripturally support your dogma. Go back and study your Bible for a few more years and then re-join the discussion when you are able to deal with these issues in a Christ-like manner.
I have been giving hundreds of scriptures to everyone here, which support Calvinism. The only response I have seen is a few weak verses which were taken out of context.

Here are just a few, I will give you many more after you deal with these and refute and deny each verse. Then you will expose your true position.

How blessed is the one whom You choose and bring near to You
To dwell in Your courts.
We will be satisfied with the goodness of Your house,
Your holy temple.

Ps 65:4

The Lord has made everything for its own purpose,
Even the wicked for the day of evil.

Prov 16:4

And He will send forth His angels with a great trumpet and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.

Mt 24:31

now, will not God bring about justice for His elect who cry to Him day and night, and will He delay long over them?

Luke 18:7

So that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord,

And all the Gentiles who are called by My name,’
Says the Lord, who makes these things known from long ago.

Acts 15:17-18

And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified.

Romans 8:28- 30

Who will bring a charge against God’s elect? God is the one who justifies;

Rom 8:33

for though the twins were not yet born and had not done anything good or bad, so that God’s purpose according to His choice would stand, not because of works but because of Him who calls,

Romans 9:11

For He says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” So then it does not depend on the man who wills or the man who runs, but on God who has mercy.

Romans 9:15-16 (the whole chapter)

God has not rejected His people whom He foreknew. Or do you not know what the Scripture says in the passage about Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel?

Rom 11:2

In the same way then, there has also come to be at the present time a remnant according to God’s gracious choice. But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works, otherwise grace is no longer grace. What then? What Israel is seeking, it has not obtained, but those who were chosen obtained it, and the rest were hardened;

Romans 11:5-7

but we speak God’s wisdom in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God predestined before the ages to our glory;

1 Cor 2:7

He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will,…

also we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to His purpose who works all things after the counsel of His will,

Ephesians 1:5,11

knowing, brethren beloved by God, His choice of you;

1 Thes 1:4

But we should always give thanks to God for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth.

2 Thes 2:13

Paul, a bond-servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, for the faith of those chosen of God and the knowledge of the truth which is according to godliness,

Titus 1:1

according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, by the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with His blood: May grace and peace be yours in the fullest measure.

1 Peter 1:2

All who dwell on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slain.

Rev 13:8

Aren’t some of these so obvious??

Some that believe in free will may try to avoid proper hermanuetics when it comes to these verses to support what they believe, or they flat out just reject these verses. But it’s clear. And if all glory is to God and not to ourselves and if we were dead in sin before we were saved, how could we raise ourselves from the dead? To deny predestination you’d have to reject God Omniscience and that He even had a plan when He created the heavens and the earth. Thank God He has predestined us, because it is in our nature to reject God and if He didn’t seal us, we would fall away in a heart beat.

Be thankful for God, His Omniscience, and Grace to save you. Soli Deo Gloria & Sola Gratia!

We we are different to everyone else, my Reformed Baptist Church is non denominational so none of that applies to us. We are a Biblical Church, Christ is our only authority and we are ruled by His Word and not some old pedophile in a frock.

If you took the time to study the Bible and allow it to guide you, you would arrive at the same conclusion but you are led by fallen men and fallen angels.

"Understanding the Word perfectly well.." IS there EVER such a thing? And understanding the Word but no relationship with it's "Author" is void...
God has spoken, He has made His message simple and easy to understand. Then you come along after someone has whispered in your ear "Hath God said", I can see straight through you. Once you know the truth, it exposes liars immediately.

I have been giving hundreds of scriptures to everyone here, which support Calvinism.
We were not discussing calvinism and I am not going to engage in that discussion with you. You disagree with my belief concerning God having provided to all mankind that which is needed to come to Him and yet allowing mankind to reject Him through suppressing the truth in unrighteousness. So be it.

We were discussing an incident wherein you claimed you were walking through the mall and a woman appeared in your line of sight and your eyes quickly beheld her which resulted in sin on your part.

I responded in Post #2,375 that what you described was not what Jesus indicates results in sin as shown in Matt 5:28.

You then indicated that you had sinned even though you had fought against the process of lusting. I then explained to you in Post #2,393 what is stated in James 1:12-15 concerning temptation, lust, and sin.

You then changed your story to indicate that you did more than what you initially stated.

Throughout this whole discussion, you never acknowledged Scripture presented to you concerning what it means to look on a woman to lust after her to the point that your behavior constitutes adultery.

As I stated earlier today, go back and study your Bible for a few more years and then re-join the discussion when you are able to deal with these issues in a Christ-like manner.

You DO know people are at different "levels" of walk in thier relationship with God don't you? AND because each have a unique relationship with God...God "speaks" to each of us differently..including through His word..so how can you compare by saying that everyone else's INTERPRETATION of the Bible is wrong...if God gives me insight about a verse..how can you come along and say it's WRONG when God himself spoke those words into my life? Even YOU..if you read the Word now and the same verses 5 yrs from now..they might have "new meanings" to you as you learn and grow in your walk with God...and really..I don't know what you're talking about.."seeing right through me and exposing liars" etc..was that directed to me PERSINALLY and what did that have to do with my previous reply to you?

Lol. You don't even know me. And you're already judging yourself superior to me. But, tell me some more about how awesome your Scriptural understanding is compared to me and 90% of all other Christians?

Here's one you can start with:

Phil 2:3 Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.

What are your thoughts about this Scripture?

Those passages do not support fatalism (also known as calvanism) God choses based on foreknowledge, Not based on blind chosing, He is not a respector of persons.

Anytime a Calvinist comes into the thread it quickly becomes all about them.

OSAS is all about the grace of God. You must genuinely saved to know genuine peace over the security of your eternal life.

I guess it's a good thing what you believe does not produce salvation, Christians would be in trouble :)

So here we have another who does not have faith that Jesus who saves us keeps us saved.
He believes He must help by his own works.
You keep trusting in yourself and you will end up in Hell.
S...,
Christ will keep us repented, baptized and righteous...but will you ..."maintain until the end"....? If not then you will not receive eternal salvation and you will end in hell.

Your feeble attempt to transfer guilt to the works side and blame Christ is elementary...at best.
Study scripture.

Further, why wasn't your OSAS position established before the 1960's? Did the civil and moral revolution of that era create your delusion/deception? I think so...because the OSAS malfunction has no record in Christianity before that era. Why ?...did we just get smarter in that time frame allowing a better perception of scriptures? That didn't happen.

A lot of the Bible forum threads end up talking either bout works/salvation..etc..I've wondered why the change myself..
Seems sadly people do not want to talk about the word. But about their belief system. Which is why the BDF is so heated.. to many people trying to defend their belief instead of trying to learn frm each other.

This is tricky, I think (when it comes to the gospel) it does matter, At the same time, What we believe concernign these other beliefs, I agree. It does nto matter

Our Biblical beliefs are often passionate because it's personal..what we've lived through..what God has revealed to us etc..but yes..some don't apply to what I just described..they wanna be right n push thier own agendas.. :/

When I was younger, I took what my pastor said as infallible. I would defend his beliefe and beliefe in my church at all costs.. Sadly, I was just like many of these people. I could not even see the truth because I was to proud to admit I might not have truth.

I still do not think I have all truth, if I ever get to that point, I become useless to God. Because my pride has taken over.

Yes agree that the solid foundation of the cross is salvation, what we build on it will be the life expression of every Christian, good or bad. So as for denominational beliefs and the like they are just beliefs. Which is good for the growth of a Christian, we move from one understanding to another in time for most. So thank God for understanding it's a key to the believer maturing hungering after the word.

If one studies all denominations. One will see there are three gospels taught by all denomination, no matter how many there are.

1. Legalism, a gospel of works
2. Grace through faith

3. Licentiousness (I can say a prayer and live however I want, no repentance)
