When you disagree with someone in person or online you need to approach the person for their reasons for their statements not make wild accusations. I am counseling you in this as an elder of a Reformed theology church.

Brother Nehemiah quoted Acts 16:31 and you responded "WRONG"

How is that verse WRONG?
I need context. Give me the number of the post. Most often people use a single verse to make a point. That is not the correct way to do it. The verse needs to be in context with the verses surrounding it and in theology with all of the other sections of scripture on that issue. To do that a systematic theology book is required. It is a very big book that goes issue by issue listing all of the verses on that issue.

I don't have a systematic theology book. As a result I make do by going online to Google getting different passages on an issue and go to biblegateway.com and look up the book and chapter. Then I go between KJV, NIV, and AMPC. Sometimes using other translations. I read the verse in context in that passage and other passages on that issue.

You are a... dangling participle instructor then. Where is your response to the..... prior to the 1960's point...(for the 5th time)? I can't find any and I doubt you can either.
I submit your teaching is bogus with scriptures.

Unless you respond to my query ...this ends this exchange with the ball in your court.

First I don't understand why you asked for prior to the 1960s when what I was posting about was creeds and issues by elders from 212 to 500 and Calvin and Arminius concepts from the 1600s. That is way before the 1960s. So what are you talking about. Again what name did I call you!! Be specific and point to that post!!

Define what bogus scriptures you are talking about. Your attitude is not in line with Christian methods of loving discussion. You need to learn how to make more loving discussion. Disagreements are expected but the concept of agree to disagree was created by the early elders when the creeds were created. There has been a history of disagreements over issues going back to those early elders. That is why they stated agree to disagree. It needs to be done understanding you are dealing with other Christians. The disagreements today are seen in the different gospel preaching denominations. Why do you think only you have the truth? Here is a area where disagreements occur. At the bottom is a Biblical defense for each side of this issue. Define to me where either side is in error. This is why we agree to disagree.

Quinquarticular Controversy

Reformed/Calvinism
TULIP
1. Total depravity

Armenianism

Why some refer to other teachings rather than the Bible....I don't understand. We have KJV scriptures...what else does one need?

There have been disagreements through out history from different teachings.. Many more interpretations are on the way...no doubt...it will never end.
There are interpretations of the bible and more on the way. What does one do?
Stick with validated scriptures.

The KJV has a problem with being translated in 1611. Languages change over time.
KJV
Thou shalt not kill.
NIV
You shall not commit murder.

In 1611 kill meant first degree murder. Today that is not the case. You can have a vehicle malfunction causing an accident where a person is killed. That is not murder!!

There are many words that have changed meaning over the centuries. Therefore in addition to KJV I use NIV, ESV, and AMPC on biblegateway.com. I look up one translation using book and chapter then switch between translations. Using this on my smartphone it becomes my Bible.

How can we lose our salvation if the atonement was perfect?

According to Scriptures a person (who has once been written in the Book of Life) can be blotted out of the Book of Life. The Atonement is Perfect, Humans are not. That is why the Holy Scriptures teaches the dog returning to its own vomit, and the pig returning to the mire once it was PERFECTLY washed and cleaned.

Know you not that it is written "He that endures to the end, shall be Saved" Woe to that person who does not understand what it means to ENDURE to the end. Even the Apostle Paul plainly said he is in a race, but has not yet finished it.

i am Saved, Today. But i can freely choose to fall away from His will tomorrow.

Scriptures plainly teaches, that if i do not forgive others, neither will i be forgiven by God. A person can claim all they want that they believe in Jesus Christ, that they are SAVED, but if they do not forgive men their tresspasses, NEITHER that person be forgiven by God even though they claim they are SAVED. Just because you claim to be Saved does not negate inspired by God Scriptures. If you do not forgive others, you will not be forgiven either, regardless what level of Faith you claim to have, regardless if you believe you are secured in your Salvation and can't lose it. Scriptures can't be broken, nor made void, because of what you believe.

D...,

I would be hopeful that interpreters here...as anywhere....only respond when they are led to conclude that...that conclusion is what G-d leads them to believe.
A person who tries to interpret the Word of God, is led by satan. Because we are NOT to interpret the Word of God, when a person does try to interpret the Word of God, which is a thing AGAINST GOD, for no private interpretation is accepted by Him, is when satan will lead that person into a false doctrine, mixed with truth and untruths. satan knows to well that a little bit of leaven will eventually leaven the whole lump. Therefore when a person tries to interpret the Word of God, as if they had the authority to do so, satan will help them to understand the Word, but mixed with a little bit of leaven as well. Which corrupts the Word of God to his liking. And starts yet another false doctrine.

Interpretations belong to God, God will reveal to whom He will reveal. Satan has led many people in error, because those people tried to interpret the Word of God, via their own intellect, and therefore satan has freedom to falsely give them the truths that he wants them to believe the Scriptures says.

But, at times I wonder ...especially when I see plain biblical language refuting some of the conclusions....if that is the guide used....and common sense tells me that the position is just not biblical. OSAS is one that comes to mind.
God told me in conversation this statement:

"If what you believe contradicts even one verse in Scriptures, then what you believe is WRONG"

Oh if this generation would only believe what God told me. Then false doctrines would cease to exist. Believe what Scriptures actually says, not what men tell you Scriptures mean. If you believe OSAS yet there are verses that contradict that teaching, then that teaching is absolutely WRONG, because that teaching contradicts inspired by God verses.

Anyone, who believe a few verses while ignoring, making void, or interpreting away all the other verses, is devoid of the TRUTH. Those who know and understand TRUTH, know and understand that ALL verses should agree together, and with each other.

There is a verse that says Eternal Salvation is to them that believe in Jesus.
There is also a verse that says Eternal Salvation is to them that OBEY Jesus.
There is yet another verse that says Those who endure to the end shall be Saved.

All three of these verses are TRUE. Anyone who believes one verse over the other verses, do not know or understand the TRUTH. These will reject the TRUTH when they even hear it, because they do not recognize the Shepherds voice when they hear it. What i teach is what God told me, it does not come from me nor from my own understanding, nor from my own intellect, but comes from what He told me. This generation will not hear what God told me in conversations, because this generation is devoid of the TRUTH, and will not hear it, even when it is presented to them, as i have done over and over again.

You can believe in Love, and not have Love one for another, this is a goat Christian. They claim they believe in Jesus but their deeds are bad, they fail to Love One Another, the very thing their Lord and Savior, COMMANDED them to do, they call Jesus "Lord" because they believe He is the Lord, but He does not live in them, if He did, they would be filled with Love for one another, even their enemies.

If what you believe contradicts even ONE VERSE in Scriptures, then what you believe to be the TRUTH is WRONG.

This generation, which loves to interpret the Word of God via their own means, will change Scriptures to fit into their own belief, instead of changing their belief to line up with Scriptures. This generation will interpret any verse that contradicts their belief to mean something other that what it says, effectively changing Scriptures to line up with their own false beliefs.

If there is a verse in Scriptures that contradicts what you believe to be TRUE, Change what you believe to match the Word of God, Don't do what this generation loves to do, and change verses to line up with their belief, via their own interpretations.

Sheep will accept these things that God told me. Goats, even though they believe in Jesus, will not accept this.

Since you are so informed about doctrine tell us what the Doctrine of Christ says!!

From 212 to 500 several creeds (a synonym of doctrine) were created to define what a Christian must believe by the early elders. Keep in mind that almost all churches have a statement of doctrine explaining their set of beliefs. They also define anything contrary is heresy and any issue outside of it is to agree to disagree! They were created because of the many diverse issues concerning Christianity. There were many Biblical issues and heretical issues being discussed and still discussed today. Heresies never seem to fade away. Creeds expose them. This started in the early church and is seen today in all of the different gospel preaching denominations.

If you try to say they are wrong provide the scriptures backing it up. A blanket dismissal because they were written by men is foolish. Men guided by God wrote the Bible. Men reading and understanding the scripture write Biblical doctrinal statements to aid understanding of the scripture. This was essential before the printing press! Men today create many different books, pamphlets, and Sunday School study guides as aids in understanding scripture.

Get your mind off of 21st century methods of creating Bibles and look at the early elders creating short statements about what the Bible stated so using them they could spread the gospel message. Refute them Biblically or stop ranting about what the early elders created.

Every time you say God told you I reject what you say. There is a deceiving entity that does this.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. John 5:24
Scriptures plainly reveals that some have believed but then fall away. Are you saying Scriptures are wrong, and that a person after believing in Jesus can't fall away?

Luk_8:13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the WORD with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.

This Scripture, with no interpretation needed, plainly says there are those who BELIEVE, then fall away. This is also in line with Scriptures that refer to a person's name can blotted out of the Book of Life, AFTER it was once written in the Book of Life. OSAS is a doctrine that contradicts the above verse, which plainly teaches a person can Believe, and then fall away. This generation should put away their false doctrines and start believing the Word of God and what it actually says and teaches, instead of relying on interpretations of men who tell you what the Word of God means based on their own interpretations.

John 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

That reference did support OSAS and this one proves it.
Is it right to believe one verse and not others, judge:

A) Eternal life is given to them that believe in Jesus = Scriptural
B) Eternal Life is given to them that obey Jesus = Scriptural
C) Eternal Life is given to them that endure to the end = Scriptural
D) No person can cause you to lose your Salvation = Scriptural
E) A person can Believe in Jesus, then freely choose his/her own self to fall away = Scriptural
F) A person once written in the Book of Life can be blotted out = Scriptural
G) All of the above are TRUE.

Woe to any person who picks and chooses which verses they will hearken to and which ones they will ignore, make void, or interpret away. G) is TRUE. If the doctrine you believe does not contain the TRUTHS of ALL Scriptures, then it is a false doctrine. If you believe A) ONLY you believe a false doctrine. If you believe A) and C) ONLY, then you believe a false doctrine. If you believe any combination of A) B) C) D) E) F) and not believe G), you also believe a false doctrine. G) is the Truth and is what the Holy Word of God plainly teaches. Those who believe anything other than G) believe a false doctrine. [please note, i could have included the entire alphebet above that refutes the false doctrine of OSAS.]

Christians who remain in obedience to the doctrine of Christ have God.

He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. 1 John 5:12

JPT
The question then is what is the Doctrine of Christ?

The Doctrine of Christ is summed up in this:

Love One Another.

Those who Love One Another, are abiding in the Doctrine of Christ.
Those who fail to Love One Another are NOT abiding in the Doctrine of Christ.

Why does this generation call Jesus "Lord" and not do what He commands Christians to do? Believers of Jesus Christ that fail to love one another are goat Christians. Believers of Jesus Christ that do love one another are sheep Christians. In the Parable, the goats and the sheep call Jesus "Lord" Which according to Scriptures they would not be able to do if it were not by the Holy Ghost. Jesus will separate the goats from the sheep. Those who love one another from those who fail to love one another. God is Love. Those who have God, will have love for one another. Many can claim to have God, to believe in Jesus, to be Saved, and fail to love one another, these are goats and billions of goat Christians will be weeping and gnashing their teeth when they thought they should have been taken up with Jesus but are instead left behind. Those who Love One Another will be taken up to be with the God of Love forever and ever. Those who fail to Love One Another will remain to be with satan who also failed to love God.

What you do to others you do to Jesus Christ Himself.
When you fail to help others, you failed to help Jesus Christ.
When you love others, you love Jesus Christ.
Woe to this generation which claims with their mouths, they believe in Jesus, but their fruits, their deeds are wicked, and unfruitful, they claim to be a good tree in Jesus Christ, but that tree produces some bad fruits. A little bit of leaven leaveneth the whole lump.
Good Trees don't produce any bad fruits. Woe to the goat Christians who claim to be Good trees, yet they produce bad fruits.

Good Trees are they that Love One Another.
Bad Trees are they that fail to Love One Another.

Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior is coming for the Good Trees, the Sheep Christians, not the Nicolaitans (goat Christians)

That doesn't even make any sense, not to mention that its not biblical.

There is no reason for forgiveness where sin is NOT present.

There are many admonitions for the SAVED Christian to walk uprightly in Christ. Those admonitions aren't, and can't be, a revocation of Eternal Life.

There is not ONE scripture that says God takes back His Gift of Salvation once He gives it.

There are no Scriptures that teach God takes back His Gift. But there are many Scriptures which teach that humans can reject His Gift, even after God freely gave it to them. What? Do you think if a person recieves a free gift they can't choose to discard that gift? Just because God gives a person a free gift does not mean a person can't reject it. We even have Parables that teach a person can receive that free gift then LATER rejects it for this reason or that reason.

God will never take back a gift that he gives. That does not mean a person can't reject that gift from God, either before they receive it, or even after they have received it, then Later discard it.

All those who believe OSAS please answer. Or continue to NOT answer because it would reveal the error of your thinking.

IN 1980 Dave accepts Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord, he repents of his sins, and all his past sins are forgiven unto him. He is washed, a new man in Christ. He starts attending church every Sunday.
IN 1985 Dave became the Youth minister in his Church
IN 1990 Dave marries a Christian woman with two little girls
IN 1999 Dave Molests the two girls on a regular basis, Oh and he repents after each time.
Dave continues to molest the two girls, then He starts molesting the children in his youth program, after which he repents each time of those too.
IN 2018 Dave dies in a car accident. Never having ceased from molesting children.

Tell me, when Dave stands before God on Judgment Day, is he SAVED? Did he not repent after each time he molested a child?

If you answer "NO, Dave was never Truly Saved" Then answer me this Question which you will not answer I'm sure. If Dave were to have died in 1998, which for 18 years was a model Christian, living in the Will of God, and Loving Everyone, helping everyone, a perfect Christian. On Judgement Day would Dave be Judged as SAVED, if he died in 1998?

Do all you others see why they will not answer that question? If Dave would have died in 1989 BEFORE he started living a very wicked life, he would have been Judged as SAVED, a good soldier of Jesus Christ. Those who believe the false doctrine will claim "Dave was never Truly Saved" Which is just something they say to justify their own false belief in the false doctrine that they hold dearly too, and no matter what example you give, instead of them changing their belief, they will just say "Dave was never Truly Saved to begin with" Do not listen to them who are not persuaded by simple logic. If Dave would have died in 1989, He would most certainly be judged as SAVED, But when he turned away from doing the will of God, even though he continually repented of his wicked deeds, and never ceased from them, he will be judged as NOT SAVED on Judgment Day, because Dave freely chose who his master is. Is it not plainly and clearly written, your master is to whom you obey. Up until 1999 Daves master was God, but after 1999 when he started molesting children, his master became satan. God telling him to stop, satan telling him to continue just repent each time and your fine and telling him "Once your Saved, you are always saved, and you can't lose your salvation, just continue to repent". Up to 1999 he was a sheep Christian, After 1999 he was a goat Christian. Up to 1999 His name was written in the Book of Life. After 1999 his name was blotted out of the Book of Life.

OSAS is a lie from the pits of Hell. it is a doctrine satan came up with to make goat christians comfortable even though they continue to live in sin. Believing in Once Saved Always Saved is perfect for the backslider, they can continue to live in a backsliden condition and still be SAVED, still Heaven bound. How easy is that?

Broad and wide and easy is the path that leads to destruction, but narrow and difficult is the path that leads to everlasting life. Many and i say MANY are on that wide and easy path, all the while thinking they are on the narrow path. There will be much weeping and gnashing of teeth from the goat Christians, those who profess Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, but continue to live in sin thinking nothing of it, just as long as you continue to repent of the same sin over and over and over and over and over and over again, you'll be fine, is their thinking. To Truly repent of a particular sin, you MUST 1) Repent of it, AND 2) Cease to do it again.

Dave in the above situation, repented each time he molested a child. Tell me, How sorry was he if he never ceased from doing it again? i will tell you the Truth any sin a person commits and repents of, knowing full well they will continue to do that sin, even though they repent of it, is NOT forgiven of it, until they Truly repent of it, and that is to repent and cease from doing it ever again.

i smoked cigarettes for many years, but not once did i ask God to forgive me during those many years, while i knew i was going to continue to smoke them. But once i quit smoking them for good, is when i bowed myself down to God and asked Him to forgive me, and i told Him, "i will never do it again"

If Dave in the Above situation would have TRULY Repented, he would have repented, asked the girls to forgive him, ask his wife to forgive him, turned himself in to authorities, pays for the crime that he has committed, and most importantly NEVER does it again, then Dave would be forgiven by God for his wicked deeds against his wife, children, and God.

Do you repent for the same sin over and over again? How sorry are you, if you continue to do the very thing you are repenting of?

How about this scripture. Explain how they will be snatched from the hand of God!!

John 10 NIV. No one can snatch them out of My hand
22 Then came the Festival of Dedication at Jerusalem. It was winter, 23 and Jesus was in the temple courts walking in Solomon’s Colonnade. 24 The Jews who were there gathered around him, saying, “How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Messiah, tell us plainly.”
25 Jesus answered, “I did tell you, but you do not believe. The works I do in my Father’s name testify about me, 26 but you do not believe because you are not my sheep. 27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are one.”

So true. Great scripture.

His sheep who hear and obey His voice, are those who follow Him, and no one can snatch them out of His hand.

Sheep who hear His voice but don’t obey, end up becoming lost.

Lost sheep are no longer reconciled to Him.

JLB
These are Goat Christians. They believe in Jesus but do not hear His voice, LOST. And what does the Lord Jesus voice Command? Love One Another.

Goat Christians believe in Jesus but fail to Love One Another. They call Jesus "Lord" but do not do what He commands them to do.

Act_5:32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.

Heb_5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

Woe to those who believe ONLY and do not obey Him.

Joh_15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

Those who do NOT keep His Commandments are NOT abiding in His love, even though they claim they are.

What are His Commandments?

1Jn 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. And this is his commandment, That we should
1) believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and 2) Love One Another, as he gave us commandment. And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

Anyone can claim that Jesus dwells in them, but that proof lies in those who Love One Another and those who don't. You will know them by their fruits.

Goats, even though they believe in Jesus, will not accept this.^i^††† In His Holy and Precious Name, Jesus Christ †††DiscipleDave

D...,
basically..you are correct ...so long as one prays for guidance and listens carefully at the guidance He gives us. A test is to see a gradual increasing knowledge extended over a period of time......milk until we can eat and tolerate meat...a good example.
