Its you that doesn't understand Romans 8:4

Otherwise, you probably wouldn't have any "opponents".

Focus on Romans 8:2-3 for a little bit and then re-read Romans 8:4

Then compare Romans 8:1-3 with 2 Corinthians 3:6-9

That should cause you to draw some conclusions. I would be interested to hear what those conclusions are.
The ministration of condemnation is of those who seek to be justified by the law.

There is no condemnation for those who don't walk after the flesh but after the Spirit; and the righteousness of the law is also fulfilled in them.

Because sin has been relegated to the flesh; and therefore if we walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit, we will not be obedient to the sinful nature and will not sin.

I wasn't the one who started with the personal attacks here.
How would you know, since you think that you’re doing right by “forgetting what lies behind”? You refuse to go back and follow a thread. You refuse to acknowledge your own wrongdoing.

I know that I do not resort to personal attacks unless someone has personally attacked me first.

I do not come out of the blue to attack someone; that is not my style.

But if someone has attempted to disparage me, sometimes I feel that it is reasonable to disparage them in return in order to discredit their disparagement of me.

Exactly, because I disagree with some of your posts, and I dislike others. Neither icon is a personal attack.
When it is constant, it becomes clear that you have some kind of problem with me as a person.

And of course, sin is the transgression of the law (1 John 3:4).

Typical self-righteous claims.

Once again

Sin is far more than transgression of the law

Knowing to do right and not doing it is sin.

That sin is not found in the law

Your not only watering down the law. You missing the true means of sanctification. Because your focused on the schoolmaster and not on Christ.

You need to realise that just because someone disagrees with you does not mean they are attacking you.

Your so focused on yourself you can’t see anythting else

A true child of God.

2Co 13:5, Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
There is a point where examining oneself can be taken to the extreme. When taken to the extreme, it often produces more questions than answers. I have personal experience with this kind of self examination.

So, you are of the opinion that there are sins that are not mentioned in God's word?

So, God's word is incomplete, in your opinion?

You need to realise that just because someone disagrees with you does not mean they are attacking you.

I don't want for people to disregard what I am saying for any reason; and my motivation for feeling this way is the love of the Lord.

Because I believe that if people will receive my words, they will be saved and/or edified.

THE LAW

The law is not the whole of scripture

I am about to put you on ignore. You are incapable of having a rational conversation.

Again, You have a high opinion of yourself. You need to come off your tower my friend.

So we have two people. they have a temptation to steel. Neither one does it

But the one person is still in sin, even though he did not break the command

Can you explain how?

The whole concept of “ being in sin” seems rather confusing. At times I have heard it implied believers can’t be in sin or practice sin. However as I understand it, believers sin every day and can sin frequently. I do like how Jesus tells Peter we ought to forgive seven time seventy times( See Matthew 18:21-22) for this is a picture of God’s forgiveness for our failings. It is a limitless forgiveness.

That's a problem; you think far too highly of yourself and your contributions. That you have bumped your own threads repeatedly is further testimony to that.

Because, even though he didn't steal, he coveted.

I am aware of the fact that I have the Holy Spirit; because I know that I have fulfilled the condition of the promise to receive Him in Acts 2:38-39.

Because I know that I have the Holy Spirit and am called to preach, I preach; and sometimes I will bump up relevant posts because I feel that that is better than repeating myself in a new thread.

People who are new to the boards can click on those posts and see something that may indeed be edifying to them. Whereas if the posts are buried far below, they will be less likely to see them and therefore will not be able to benefit from what has been written.

btw, I have not only bumped up my threads. I have also bumped up other threads that I think are relevant.

I do not bump up my posts because I think that I am better than anyone else; but because I know that I do have the truth and therefore if I bump up my posts it is for that reason; because I desire that the truth might be exalted.

I know that in bumping up my own posts I am perceived as exalting myself and that in this, I will be abased (at least, if it were found to be true that I were actually exalting myself).

But if the truth that I am preaching is exalted, that makes no difference to me. What matters is that people are saved through the truth that I bring to them.

THE LAW

The law is not the whole of scripture
However, my question was not whether the law is the whole of scripture; but whether you believe that there are sins that are not mentioned in the Holy Bible.

The scriptures do not only contain the law; they also contain the gospel.

Does the law portion of scripture cover everything in your opinion?

Or is it missing something?

I am about to put you on ignore.
That would be unfortunate for you.

But if you did, I would pray for you that the Holy Spirit might be able to reach your soul where I can't.

so people will be edified when you act like you do?

Again, You have a high opinion of yourself. You need to come off your tower my friend.
How am I acting that you think that people will not be edified by the teaching of holy scripture that I bring to the table?
