If we close a thread for gossiping, then the easiest way to argue something you don't want to argue by content and context would be to gossip about someone. Say your point, then gossip about someone, so no one else can disagree or question.

Better to handle the gossiper than to teach how to use it as a tool to get your own way. (I have gossiper and sneaky in my background, so remember how the mind works like that.)
The scripure says clear: no teaching from woman over man and also no woman Pastor (if a man is there). The problem which we have to day is that people like more to follow the timespirit then the word of God. If you compare the churches and teachings today with the churches and teachings 30 ore 40 years ago then you will see what i mean.

Again, it is not because of that woman are less worth then man, ore are not be able to do it, but because of the Sin of Eva and because the man was build first. Thats why! And this is an order God gave and not a "woman hater" named Paul as many people says.

Kayla that is wonderful. I am learning to be that bold, I wasn't raised Christian and had alot of demons telling me to sit down and shut up. I mean literally telling me they would kill anyone I told or prayed out loud for.

Toke me a while to learn they were liars and that God is stronger. Still finding my voice cuz i still hesitate to pray out loud in a group.

But God leads us to be more than we ever could be alone.

I've always been a shy person. Standing in front of people was almost distressing to me. But I felt such a call that I felt I had to do it. I felt so bad when I felt the Lord tell me to do something and I resisted. Over the years I learned to just do what He said. I'm not perfect,a long way from it,I'm not particularly gifted or more spiritual than anyone else. But Ive learned to listen when I feel that call.

I'll admit,Ive argued with the Lord. I was in a service in my own church. We were in the worship part of the service. I happened to glance behind me and saw a woman crying, she was several pews back. I continued singing along but after a few minutes I looked back again. The woman really seemed upset. She was someones guest,I didn't know who,and I was annoyed that whoever brought her was not praying with her,she clearly needed it. I told myself to mind my own business. lol And as much as I tried I couldn't let it go. When I turned back the woman was headed for the door. She was behind me,I have no idea how I got to the door first. She had a teen girl with her. She was sobbing and the girl was saying she wanted to leave. I asked the woman if she wanted to go to the alter and her daughter started to freak out,she was determined to leave. I half pushed them down the hall to a Sunday school room. The daughter was demanding to leave.I asked the mother what was going on. She said she had just found out she had a brain tumor. I told the daughter that her mother needed prayer and then I would let them leave. She calmed herself and agreed to stay long enough for her mother to have prayer. Now I didn't pray some powerful, call down the angels prayer,as I said,I'm not that gifted as some folk are. I did the best that I could do under the circumstances. I quietly prayed as I held her hand. As they turned to leave one of the older women of the church came in and sort of took over and then the pastors wife came. Why did I feel such a call? I don't know,I never saw the woman again or knew who brought her. I only did what I felt called to do. Dont ever listen to voices or people that tell you to be silent. If you feel the Holy Spirit and a calling to speak you do it,and do it with boldness. God can and does use women.

i think i found a solution.

those who believe a woman shouldn't teach, preach, or lead - attend a local assembly that believes the same.

those who believe a woman can teach, preach, or lead - attend a local assembly that believes the same.

Gossip is betraying something you know about someone that everyone else does not know. It is betraying a confidence. Posts in here are not in confidence. It is not gossip to speak of them because the person has posted these things.

I wasn't trying to demean her. I was trying to help a sister understand her kicking and flailing and punching. That was not done to be cruel.

My brothers and sisters in here can judge quite well when something is said out of spite or cruelty and when it is said for other reasons. We might get confused sometimes because of our heart of love and hope, when we fail to judge the way we have been told to - by fruit - and begin to judge a different way. But we eventually find unity and love in the Spirit, even when we disagree on something because we humble ourselves to one another in love, do not take offense at each other, bear with one anothers weaknesses and never stop hoping.
Yeah, I used to be a gossip. I still remember all the self-justifying excuses why I wasn't, including nitpicking definition finer than frog hair split four ways.

Passive aggressive isn't working for you still. (We've had that conversation way back when you were doing the same thing to another woman on this site last summer. I'm still not passive-aggressive. I'm still aggressive.)

But you're right. The bros and sisses can judge. The fruit smells fermented and the bees are swarming. There was nothing there but self-justification smothered in mildewed honey.

May the true God shine that mirror so you get the same wake up call I got in the 90's about gossiping.

77 pages about women that have to shut up.
Now I have this song in my head.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=m3TXfuoj6vw

I have my car loaded

full of old women .

When we came on the market

they began to quarrel

Now my whole life I take

no old women in my car.

Hop hop horse .

Hop hop horse .

I know this is somewhat off subject, but this could tie into a woman pastor. In that God has His way, and We have ours. And sometimes we do not interpret His ways probably, or we are sometimes not sensitive to what He is telling us.
Is it an indictment on ALL the churches that they rarely deviate from the set pattern of worship, and sermon?
Is the charge at large guilty of being insensitive to the Holy Spirit. Sometimes I just literally cry when I sense the Holy Spirit wants something different on a given Sunday.
I just can't believe that a Spirit filled church will not have a departure from that routine. Not even once ?
How about a service with just praise and worship. A service where the Holy Spirit prompts the congregation to give testimony? Or just to pray for a particular issue?
Not even once? God is a God that does new things.
God had a donkey talk, He converted a murderer into the greatest apostle of his day, He does things which we can not predict or fathom. So a donkey can speak, but a woman can't?
He can't be boxed in, unless the Spirit is being ignored, that is.
Bravo, Jd.
(Bravo is code word for amen! :))

That is the solution most folks choose. It is not the solution that honors Gods word. It is in fact a testimony to the self will of man. The same self will that is responsible for the fall in the garden.

Scripture warns that in the days of Noah every man went about doing that which was right in his own eyes.

Yes agree, well let's all get together then in the last reformation where every believer steps out in ministry to the lost on the street. Problem solved.

So, someone said earlier, that even though Eve sinned first, that the word says that only Adam mentioned as being responsible for the sin. That it was Adams sin that caused the fall.
First, is this correct?
Second, if it is, then do we extrapolate that husbands are held accountable for their wives sin?
First, it is correct.

Second, no. Eve was still responsible for her sin. Adam just franchised the sin down through to all upcoming generations. BUT, yes, hubby, to a degree, is accountable to my actions. But he is accountable because we do have the marriage where hubby is head, and wife is helpmate, with God ruling over both of us.

It's kind of like Hilary Clinton and our embassy at Benghazi. Hilary did not kill the ambassador and the others. She was, however, responsible for keeping them safe.

I am every bit as intransigent, Pharisaical, aggressive, and stubborn as I appear to be on here. Hubby is very vulnerable now -- still losing blood and stuck in bed learning how to stand again in two buildings full of medical professionals assuming full responsibility over him while not making the most logical, kind choices they could make. (Incompetency has been proven more than once.) I am what I believe the vast majority of women are -- mama bear like. Right now, I want to go busting into that place and give the full weight of my what-for until someone hears him! Grrrrrr!

BUT, he's a grown man and can speak for himself. So, I keep my muzzle on for him.

Once he let me off the leash. (Hey, he also knows I use nothing but words, so I'm safe physically. It's mentally that might catch my grief. lol And yes, I do see I'm mixing my metaphors, unless you're picturing a bear with a muzzle and a leash.) No one was listening to him, he's a bit groggy from the pain meds, so he handed it to me.

He is accountable for me. I am perfectly capable of going ballistic, if he needs me to go there. I'm capable without his approval, but there is enough love and trust that I won't.

That's what Adam had that Eve didn't.

(This reminds me of the shortest poem ever. I believe by Ogden Nash.
Fleas
Adam had 'em.)

Sooo, nuts? Any such thing as an American Brazilian? lol

And, now I really do have to get going. BBL
