This clearly points to saint Donald of triumph. He had the toughest test of all, lost in a world of temptation, in the wilderness of sin. Before he 15 years too late did the job he was meant to do, and after 4 years the people of planet earth failed him and God again.Looks like rayzor has covered quite a few
I find it interesting that the ot promised his first coming and the New Testament promises his return once more. Both testaments last until Christ appears whether his first coming which occurred or his return from heaven that will occur
“Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the Lord of hosts.”
Malachi 3:1 KJV
He came and preached the eternal covenant
“The law and the prophets were until John:
since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.”
Luke 16:16 KJV
“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”
Matthew 24:14
and will return to fulfill this covenant also as he came fulfilling the law and prophets
“So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many;
and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.”
Hebrews 9:28 KJV
it seems as if time itself is measured by the appearing of Christ and his kingdom I love how Hebrews describes the falling away of the temporal to reveal the eternal kingdom
“See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:
Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
For our God is a consuming fire.”
Hebrews 12:25-29 KJV
Something about that vision of the temporal earth crumbling away and leaving only the unshakable words and promises of Christ Jesus just fills me with hope un ending
knowing who spoke the word from heaven is salvation
“He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.
And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony. He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.
For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.
The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”
John 3:31-36 KJV
He’s made inheritance in the kingdom so simple and yet many reject him and his word I wonder why that is ?
