1 Tim 2:4) Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
All men will not have eternal salvation. No.

It is Gods will that every kind of person will be saved without discrimination, regarless of rank. If you read the passage in context you can see that the verses are about preaching the Gosple to ALL MEN.

(1 Timothy 2:1) I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

(1 Timothy 2:2) For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

(1 Timothy 2:3) For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

(1 Timothy 2:4) Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

(1 Timothy 2:5) For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

(1 Timothy 2:6) Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

(1 Timothy 2:7) Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.

(1 Timothy 2:8) I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

It's not saying God wills every single man on Earth receive eternal salvation.

But beautiful cherry pick there Shroomboy.

2 Pet 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Peters talking to the elect...as I've already explained. God doesnt will any of the ELECT to perish.

Unfortunately a few will end up in hell but why should we care right? They made a choice and if they never knew about Him or heard the gospel, who would be held responsible? ;) what strangelove doesnt get is that God uses actual breathing people to do His work.
Where have I said He didnt?

People who have not heard the gospel are God's responsibility, and I have no doubt He will deal with them fairly. A man cannot be held responsible for something he has never been exposed to.

Apparently Dr. Strange believes everything that happens is God's will. He made this statement concerning me:

Your saying stuff that God WILLS doesnt happen.
It doesn't. God wants all to be saved. It isn't happening. Does Dr. Strange believe it's God's will every time a murder or rape is committed? Does he believe it's God's will to allow the murder or rape to be committed? If so, then God is guilty of the crime.

There is a devil.

"I'm" cherrypicking???

LOLOLOLOL

You are a master at your chosen craft of interrogation and twisting scripture. No matter what is said, or who says it, even though it's obvious to rational people you are wrong, you will twist your way out of it and throw it back at the person questioning you.

I don't know why EG bothers with debating you.

BTW, God is not a respecter of persons. He wants all men to be saved. All of them.

Edit to add that if it's only His elect that He doesn't want to perish, what's He worried about??? After all, they are His elect, right? Chosen by God, with no choice in the matter....

Absurd. you have a weak god.

(Jeremiah 32:17) Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:

(Jeremiah 32:18) Thou shewest lovingkindness unto thousands, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God, the LORD of hosts, is his name,

(Jeremiah 32:27) Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?

Shroom, hi :)
I believe fully that God wants noone to perish, it is in his Word. We, however arent robots. People make choices. But what i am saying is that through a believer God can accomplish His work in the hearts of men. He uses his Word, He uses us by spreading His Word and by the fruit we bear. I can also choose to bear fruit, dont u think?

Do you have any intelligent response to what I posted in rebuttal to that assertion or other scripture which supports it?

Really?
"The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise As some understand slowness, Instead He is patient with you NOT WANTING ANYONE TO PERISH, but everyone to come to repentence."

That, my friend, is in his Word.
I rest my case.

Peter......is.....talking.....about THE ELECT.

(2 Peter 3:8) But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

(2 Peter 3:9) The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Concerning His promise BlueLagoon.....who are heirs to the promise?

It does say he would like everyone to come unto him, but he knows not everybody is gonna capiche?
Yes satan is of the Lord. After all the Lord did create everything didn't he?
He is just sorting out the good apples from the bad>
I.e (chaff from wheat... tempered by fire/crucible yada yada yada
Satan decieved 1/3 of the heavenly host eons ago and was cast out of heaven for his sin.
So God in his mercy that none should perish set up this whole situation to give those of us who may have agreed with satan then to repent of our sins and come back to Gods glory. Selah

Oh wow...I cant believe the irony.

I just saw a film called 'The Adjustment Bureau'.

You guys would love it.

It's all about a team of angels running around trying to keep this guy on Gods plan. And the dude keeps making decisions that catches God (the "Chairman") of guard and the angels keep having to desperately try and intervene with his life to put him back on track.

Then at the end this guys decisions eventually convinces God to REWRITE His original plan!

LOLZ!

The last wods in the movie are:

"Maybe one day...we (God and His angels) wont write the plan.....YOU WILL"

BLASPHEMY!

Taking away Gods Glory and putting it in the hands of MAN! Just like you guys are doing!

God allows satan to tempt people to rape and murder.
Why on earth would God "allow" it? Do you think satan asks permission, and God says "sure, no prob, satanski, go for it. Lets TEMPT these worthless people, see who passes muster."? God is love, God is light, in Him is no darkness at all. Who is the opposite of that? Satan. John 10:10a

Do you think satan is working outside of Gods authority?
If he isn't, we have a very mean God.

Who is the god of this world? The bible says it's satan.
2 Cor 4:4) In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Luke 4:
5) And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
6) And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.

When he sinned, Adam legally transferred the dominion over the earth which God had given him over to the devil.

When Christians realize what they have in Christ, and stand against satan, he will flee. But if nobody is around to stop him, he can do pretty much whatever he wants. For now, anyway.

"But but but God is sovereign, everything that happens is part of His plan. We do not understand His reasons for some of the things He allows, but we must not question Him. We don't understand why He allowed your child to be raped. Maybe He's trying to teach you something."

Bunk.

Look around, man. Do you believe all the crap happening in the world is God's will?

I'm not sure if I'm understanding you correctly but are you saying that satan and God are like.....at war with eachother...as.....equals?

Are you saying that GOD is not SOVEREIGN over all things including satan?

Astounding. But I guess one error leads to the next and the next and the next.....

Absolutely unbelievable. God has no power over satan is what your basically saying.

You need to check what your saying before its too late. This is very serious error.

(Job 1:7) And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

(Job 1:8) And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?

(Job 1:9) Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?

(Job 1:10) Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.

(Job 1:11) But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.

(Job 1:12) And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.

(Job 2:4) And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life.

(Job 2:5) But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face.

(Job 2:6) And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life.
