In your estimation ISIT, what did Jesus Christ do with sin on the Cross?

I want to answer this................

Our Lord Jesus defeated sin on the cross by giving us a way to be forgiven of them and be reconciled to God !!!

How we receive that remission of our sins is where the teaching goes one way or the other, false teaching says repentance and baptism not needed as it also does away with how one walks in the faith.
True teaching comes from one receives that remission when they after believing repent of their sins, get baptized, and then continue to walk the proper way on the path, as Apostle John shows His blood continues to give us remission of our sins when we walk in the Light/Spirit......(1 John 1:7)

Jesus Christ came to take away the sins of the world, and destroy the body of sin and the works of the Devil. He by His own death and resurrection has also given us the power over the enemy, and to also put to death the deeds of flesh and cease from sin, for those who believe.

Your comment to me was personal, my comment was to all who approve of sin and evil. If I speak out against sin and evil, then why am I evil spoken of?
my comment was personal, yes, and there was no mistaking that.
unlike your all too cryptic remarks which are, i believe, intentionally misdirecting.

you speak out against sin and evil' and fail to realize this is not the sum total of edifying the Body.

if you really cared about all those who approve sin and evil, the kindest thing you could do is be direct...

but my sense is you are too concerned with being banned.

Jesus says, I come not to send peace, but a sword. 2 Timothy 3:16 says all Scripture is profitable for correction and training in righteousness. I do speak in love to people but I have to be truthful also

Here's the thing

#1 iron sharpeneth iron for sure, but if two people believe they are correct, then fine....walk away, it's wrong to set yourself above others and point out their sin, especially having zero relationship with them. So no surprised emotions are high because of course there's going to be an attitude of......who do you think you are?
That's why...if you disagree...disagree, if what you post will not profit, dont post. Passive aggressive behavior is bullying

I thought I was being direct. Perhaps I should have said REPENT! and turn from your evil ways. And your opinion of my motives matters not, the Lord knows my heart. :)

yes, perhaps you ought to learn that directness and simply call me what you will.

rather than it taking three posts to admit it.

Who is setting themselves above others? And if we speak out against sin, then why are people so offended? That speaks to the root of the problem.

I did not call you names, nor make it personal. My statement was broad and to all, but you made your comment personal toward me. :)

What do you mean by "take away" the sins of the world? As in "paid" for them? or do you mean something different?

You dont know me, nor are any authority in my life, which gives you zero place to say im a sinful person or any other person. If youre married, youre over your wife, if youre a pastor youre over your flock, but it's very rude and unprofitable or stir up strife by telling people they need to repent. Now if you were preaching to a congregation and the hearts of the people were open to you, then have at it, but in a discussion forum where topics are just beung talked about......bad form

And no you didnt address me, i was just using me as an example

Again my statements were to all even though you try to make them personal. John the Baptist and Jesus came preaching repentance to the people, were they stirring up strife as you put it?

John 1:29
The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
"take away"~~to bear/'lifts up and carries the burden' of the sin of the world.

Do you believe He accomplished this?

They had great standing in their community. People knew of them, many were ready to hear, and as you see, i was also being general. I was using myself as an example.

The opposite of humility is pride. (Proverbs 6:16-19) Pride led to Satan’s downfall. (1 Timothy 3:6) It easily takes root in human hearts, and once there, it is hard to remove. People are prideful because of their country, their race, their possessions, their education, their secular achievements, their social standing, their looks, their sporting abilities, and many other things. Yet, none of those things are important to God. (1 Corinthians 4:7) And if they cause us to be proud, they damage our relationship with him. “God is high, and yet the humble one he sees; but the lofty one he knows only from a distance.”—Psalm 138:6; Proverbs 8:13.
