Wrong way to think. Jesus wasn't praying for them to be safe from persecution because he knows most will be martyred and he tells them that in Mat 24, but rather was praying for them not to be seduced by the evil one and turned away from their faith as so many of their countrymen would be.

Yes, when we die. Paul should have stated it clearer.

Yes, at the same time!! "that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him."

You cited this passage. This means we are His bride right now!! It isn't a future event. It's an on-going event. When someone accept Christ into their hearts, they are born again and Christ/Father/HS indwell. This person joins the kingdom with all of those who went ahead of us and are in heaven. So whether we are alive or in heaven, we are all in the Kingdom of God.

You also cited 2 Cor 5:1-8 with an exclamation point but you wrongly interpret it. This passage describes our physical body as a temporary tent. When it dies, our spiritual self steps out of it and is whisked off to heaven.
That is boggus and another grand canyon leap to teach people graves do not open, those buried do not come back to life, and are not caught up preceding the living.

And yet in 1 thes the dead are resurrected and RAPTURED ALIVE.
Correct! Right on! (y)

They are "resurrected" from the dead, and THEN "caught up [/raptured]" as ALIVE (along with the "we which are ALIVE and remain unto" portion of "the Church which is His body"... so "TOGETHER [hama - G260]" we are "caught up [/raptured]"... at the same time).

Jesus died
Was buried
Came back to life
Came out of the grave
Then was caught up(raptured) to heaven WHERE THE FATHER IS.

Same thing with the dead in Christ in 1 thes 4,and the same with the 2 witnesses except they never get buried.

For as in the days that were
before the flood they were
eating and drinking, marrying
and giving in marriage, until
the day that Noe entered into the ark

.....then shall two men be in a field
One taken the other left.

Jesus VIVIDLY placed the rapture before the gt.(before the flood...before judgement...he also used lot to make sure we know we are removed)

Btw what are you going to do with the verse that Jesus said "not a hair of your head will be harmed"

All but John were martyred gruesomly by the devil

I thought we were protected?

Mentally pigeonholing verses is not wise
1. Neither Noah and his family nor Lot and his family were taken out of this world, but they were protected from the evil.

Being protected from the evil does not mean you are not going to die, it means you will not succumb to the lies. God ensures this by allowing death to come swiftly:

Isa 57:
1The righteous perish,
and no one takes it to heart;
the devout are taken away,
and no one understands
that the righteous are taken away
to be spared from evil.

2Those who walk uprightly
enter into peace;
they find rest as they lie in death.

So what do we do with this:

Psalm 116:
15Precious in the sight of the Lord
is the death of his saints.

The above is what it means the elect will not fall for the strong lies (Matt 24:24)

2. The issue about one being taken and another left doesn't mean people will fly off from this earth.
A car accident, all people die but one survives; this is the meaning. Some will be protected from physical harm- those that know God. Jeremiah 24 explains this.

3. Our flight
Yes the bible talks of a flight for believers but it doesn't mean that people will fly off this earth, same thing as being caught in the air. After careful study, i realized that this means that believers don't even die but transition by immediately resurrection and indwelling other believers. That moment of transition is what is referred to as 'flight' or 'being caught together' with those that are alive. This is happening even today.

Interesting that it takes a pretribber to inform yall that martyrdom is PRESET into being born again.

We do not own our lives. We are to accept martyrdom as one of the highest honors.

The ac kills all believers. He is empowered to do so.

All you guys will either take the mark or die.

Read it for yourself. That IS what it says.

ALL DIE WHO REFUSE THE MARK.

It says ALL ON THE PLANET HAVE THE MARK.

I pray not that thou
shouldest take them out of the
world, but that thou shouldest
keep them from the evil.

....and yet evil killed them

Hmmmmm

Even today millions have been martyred.

Not kept from evil...but taken out BY EVIL

Mental and bible are a shallow mix
Isa 57:
1The righteous perish,
and no one takes it to heart;
the devout are taken away,
and no one understands
that the righteous are taken away
to be spared from evil.

2Those who walk uprightly
enter into peace;
they find rest as they lie in death.

One taken/one left PREFLOOD... BEFORE THE FLOOD

Now hold his verses up to the rapture verses of Jesus pretrib.

He has the bible cancelling Jesus words.

Why would anyone do that?
There are no rapture verses in the bible.

^ EDIT (to add the underlined):

"--"unclothed" (in this passage) refers to our [/believers] being apart from our body, for a time, UPON "DEATH"--i.e. "absent from the body... " "
I don't believe we are ever body-less. We either have our physical body or our spiritual body. Prior to the resurrection, Jesus gives the parable of Lazarus and the rich man. The rich man felt torture, could see, was thirsty and had a tongue. Sounds like he had a body to me.

2 Pet 1:12 For this reason I will not be negligent to remind you always of these things, though you know and are established in the present truth. 13 Yes, I think it is right, as long as I am in this [f]tent, to stir you up by reminding you, 14 knowing that shortly I must [g]put off my tent, just as our Lord Jesus Christ showed me. 15 Moreover I will be careful to ensure that you always have a reminder of these things after my [h]decease.

(f) body
(g) die and leave this body
(h) exodus, departure

1 Cor 15:
There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body... 46 However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual.

There is no lapse between one body and the next. However, we we get to heaven and are glorified, God gives us the brightness we deserve.

Wrong.

Jesus staying in the grave and resurrecting bodily (sign of Jonah) was for a perverse generation who are always after signs, but the real resurrection is in the twinkling of an eye.

Matt 27:50When Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, He yielded up His spirit. 51At that moment the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth quaked and the rocks were split. 52The tombs broke open, and the bodies of many saints who had fallen asleep were raised. 53After Jesus’ resurrection, when they had come out of the tombs, they entered the holy city and appeared to many people.

If Jesus has eternal life, then death can not hold him even for a millisecond. If believers have eternal life, then death shall not overcome them even for a nanosecond. Resurrection is in the twinkling of an eye.

“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. 4 And where I go you know, and the way you know.”

5 Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?”

6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

This passage is also badly mis-understood. Many take it as a rapture passage, Christ coming back and rapturing us to heaven. Christ leaving to prepare heaven, then coming back thousands of years later at some point in our future, after enough rooms are built, to gather all the dead and living saints. This view is DEAD WRONG!!

Christ is speaking directly to his disciples. His words are for them. Christ is about to die, leave them, come back briefly, then ascend to heaven, to prepare a place for them. He then says He is going to come again and receive them and that nobody comes to the Father except through Jesus. For them to get to heaven, they must be resurrected, not raptured alive.
I don't know about dead wrong. Maybe different ?

He is coming back as Eternal Spirit. Only one outward fleshly demonstration was promised

To make sure we understand the timing of when that mansion was complete. . . the time of reformation. He said "It is finished". an earthquake and the work of the unseen Spirt of God tore the veil from the top, to represent heaven, to the bottom, to represent earth . the graves were opened and they arose.

The way was opened getting the things seen out of the way. Tens of thousands of Old testament saints arose and were witnessed by the many angels in heaven.

2 Corinthians 5:7(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

John 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

Resurrected alive dead asleep waiting for the new bodies on the last day .The wake up call. "Rise"

What happened to your understanding? Can't you see God is saying they are protected from evil by them dying?

Here again, this is how they are protected:

2Those who walk uprightly
