Lets focus on resistance. How do we resist?

When Jesus resisted the devil in the wilderness, did he have a gun and a sword. Nope. I wonder how he did it then.

Maybe we could look up some statistics on how many woman actually hit and escape from a would be rapist?

I am pretty most women do not get away. :(

No, she probably not know self-defense. Hardly doubt my 2 year old twin grandsons know self-defense either but they probably could kick or claw. And bite. Again, whatever it takes.

Most people that rape are known to the family actually. Like step siblings, uncles etc. and sexual molestation can happen over long periods, not just one offs.

Lanolin, the devil is spiritual...there is no correlation.

If you do not think people should be able to carry guns that is your choice of belief, but I do not think the scripture supports this position.

No, she can't. Probably hit the guy with a rolling pin though if she was able to reach for it in time. I'm sure that the bad guy would find that most amusing.

Most people that get raped dont even tell the police. I think its better nowadays but still. Also theres date rapes.

Again, question how do you RESIST evil. Do we all carry rolling pins?

I think i would have less respect if my husband bashed up someone and killed someone he thought was trying to hurt me.

But thats just me. Also my husband would then be in jail for manslaughter.

Im reading James 1:12-27

The last verse says about visiting widows and fatherless. Why because maybe thats protecting them too. Also verse 20 says for the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

She reminds me of the pacifist that was banned a few years ago....saying if his wife or girlfriend was being raped or murdered he would pray about it or try to TRIP the guy......made me want to spew and blood boil

That is plum ignorant....you would have less respect for your husband if he defended you against a man trying to rape or kill you........If I was your husband and read that it would be see ya......wow....I thought I had heard it all on this site until I read this post!!!!!
