The rest should be downhill if we just accept Romans 2:28, Romans 4:15, Romans 11:8, Romans 11:11, Romans 11:24-29 at face value. Would one of God’s Two Witnesses to an unsaved world during the Christian era be lost? Of course not, and I have only shown here and in various other threads, a smattering of the biblical evidence showing that a devout Jew of our own time could be saved without recognizing Yeshua as his Messiah.

You see, brother, the Church today teaches a doctrinal salvation . . . that you need to have your doctrine right to be saved. I believe that to be false doctrine. All over the Bible we read that God is far more concerned with the condition of the heart then He is with doctrinal accuracy. To paraphrase 1 Samuel 16:7, “Man looketh upon the doctrine, but the Lord looketh upon the heart.”
Sorry Therapon,

But you have to throw out what Jesus so plainly told them then. You also have to throw out the fact they are looking for a DIFFERENT Messiah then God's messiah. Jesus plainly told them MOSES will be their accuser because Moses testifies about Jesus and Jesus goes on to even take it further that if they BELIEVED MOSES,they would believe in Him also. By it He implies THEY DO NOT believe what God told them. They are looking for a messiah made in their own image not the Messiah sent by God into this world.

Do you think Jesus really cares by what name He is called? The Jewish Messiah is Jesus, they just do not know Him by our New Testament name. God is looking for those who "worship him in spirit and in truth," people who have the right heart condition, not those with the correct doctrinal knowledge. Jesus did not say, "Come unto my doctrine all ye who are weak and heavy laden and my doctrine will give you rest." Salvation is in the person of Jesus Christ, not in how much we know about Him. Dotting doctrinal I's and crossing doctrinal T's has nothing to do with salvation in the eyes of God, because "whosoever calleth upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." If salvation depended upon knowledge in any way, then all of us are going to hell because none of us has perfect doctrine before our perfect God.

no sarah...apparently God has changed His mind about all that and since 1948 gave us a new soteriology without telling anyone but ellis and his friends.

it's the magical 70th week again.
everybody's using it.
it's hip.

This is error the Bible is plain there is only salvation in Christ.
Always the same approach, you are wrong, wrong, wrong. I have repeated this so much I feel like a broken record. I agree, there is no salvation outside the shed blood of Jesus Christ, but you guys are so sure you're doctrine is right that will not look at all thebiblical evidence showing that the Lord also found a way to save His Jewish people during the Christian era through Him.

It does not appear you get it they are not looking for GOD'S MESSIAH. They are looking for some other messiah. It has nothing to do with doctrine it has to do with the heart. They want nothing to do with God's Messiah. The very same Messiah that Moses wrote about. That Messiah is Jesus the Nazarene, the Christ.

Mr. Therapon,

It is apparent that not everyone will agree with you and that is their right (I am not even fully persuaded, but at least there are those who are willing to hear you out). But, how will you get people to see what you see if you choose to continue debating those who are clearly opposed instead of going forward and answering those who are trying to understand?

There is so much truth in what I have copied of your post, so very much.
People come on these websites in many cases believing they are flushed with much doctrinal truth. And according to the LETTER of what they THINK THEY KNOW they will hurl their thunderbolts and condemn you
Their ministers in nearly all cases would not, neither would the ordinary parishoner in the churchers, but some(and I only say some) will on the internet, for they are here to proclaim themselves and what they think they know, it is not belief born of conviction of the heart by the Holy Spirit, but the head, head knowledge of the academic mind, and they sit in the judgemnet seat and condemn you, revelling in quoting scripture to do so
Only one has the right to judge, and he is not a member of this website

You really ought to stop saying that. A lie is an intent to deceive and that has never been my intent. Making such derogatory statements shows animus rather than the Christian love and forbearance we should be displaying to the dozens of guests usually on the forum unseen.

Well could you please change the verse to what it says, if not than its an intentional lie. no way
round it. Unless you prefer me to call you a false teacher or something like that.

Paraphrases are similiar and done for better understanding. You didnt paraphrase
you completely misled

I dont know your motive but your paraphrase would condition folks to think
their feelings in Gods eyes are the only thing important so ditch the
teachings they were taught God doesnt care

doctrine=teaching you say teaching from scripture is NOT important at all to God

A real problem in the church today is that nobody ever thinks it might be their doctrine that's wrong. Thirty years ago, my major fear was that I might be teaching God's word wrong. But over time, my heart was put at resat by the Word of God, the witness of the Holy Spirit and the affirmation of many brethren around the world who were strong in the Lord.
How many other teachers of other doctrine(s) had this very same affirmation? Even in the cults.

In the last days of the old testament how many people were in favor of the popular view?

Due to my particular ministry, I may possibly be aware of fulfillments of prophecy that the church at large is not. I’ll leave out most of the gory details, but this will still be a bit lengthy, please be patient.
let's have the gory details.
i have them if you forget.

did all this already.

The Two Witnesses during the Christian era are the Jewish people and the Gentile church!
what Gentile church?
oh ya.

whatever else happens do NOT use That Name, right ellis.

thesis:

we have a "Christian Era"

but nobody is 'Christian'.

they're either gentiles or jews.
we tag the word church onto the word gentiles and there ya go.

both saved and both witnesses of what exactly?

The Balfour Declaration?
ya of course that's it.

what's that got to do with JESUS?

You are so right, brother, and I apologize. I’ve got so many people kicking at my bones and I sometimes lose perspective. if I remember correctly, you were asking for my take on Revelation five 11:5-6.

“And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed. These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.”

Beginning with Joseph’s visions in Genesis 37 and on down through Scripture, we find that all prophetic visions are figurative. Daniel’s great image of ch.2, the 4 beasts and 2 beasts of chs. 7 & 8, the visions of Zachariah, Peter’s sheet full of unclean beasts, all our figurative! Revelation is a also vision, so it is reasonable to conclude that 11:5-6 is also
figurative so let’s look at those verses from that perspective and not all of it shows the church in a good light . . .

“And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth (“is not my word like a fire?”), and devoureth their enemies (spiritually): and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed (spiritually by not coming to the Lord). These have power to shut heaven (“whatsoever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven”), that it rain not (the water of the word) in the days aof their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood (to corrupt the Gospel with false doctrine, which we indeed have), and to smite the earth with all plagues (wars), as often as they will.”

Might as well exegete the rest of thje passage for you, too . . .

Revelation 11:7 “And when they (The Two Witnesses) shall have finished their testimony (among the Gentile nations, 1948-1967), the beast (Satan) that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make (spiritual) war against them, and shall overcome them (spiritually with materialism, false doctrine and the cares of this world), and kill them” (spiritually).

Revelation 11:8-11, NAS (Excerpts) “And their dead bodies (Greek: πτώμα, pto’-ma, by definition: a fall, a ruin, the carcass, the bones, i.e., the empty churches.) will lie in the street of the great city which mystically is called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified (Jerusalem). And those from the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations (the Moslems in the surrounding lands) will look at their dead bodies (the empty churches) for three and a half days (Years of day-years, i.e., from 688AD to 1967AD) and will not permit their dead bodies (the empty churches) to be laid in a tomb (to be torn down). And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them and make merry; and they will send gifts to one another, because these two prophets (the Christians and Jews) tormented those who dwell on the earth” (it is torment for the lost when the gospel is preached and they refuse to repent).

you have got to be kidding.

unbelieving jews between 688AD and 1967AD were witnesses of Jesus Christ??
i reckon i gotta go see what NAS really has to say, and what you added to their footnotes.

brb.
k back.

NOPE NAS says none of that...but you do.

Who do you think the Jews are looking for, Gandalf the wizard? The Jews are looking for the Messiah they read about throughout the Old Tetament, the very Messiah Paul preached about from those same Old Testament Scriptures.

Of course, brother. Believe it or not, I don't really care if you agree with me or not, I only care about brethren growing in the Lord.
