Babylon is known for human religion.
In the book of Daniel chapter 7,it says that there are 4 beasts,that were different than each other,which mean that each one operated differently than each other as a main operation.
These 4 different operations are the 4 ways of man,and although each kingdom operated by the 4 ways of man,there was one mode of the four modes of operation that stood out as their main mode of operation.
1.Babylon-human religion,known as a Lion.
2.Medo-Persia-human cruelty,known as a Bear.
3.Greece-human wisdom,known as a Leopard.
4.Roman Empire-world domination,known as iron.Which the 10 horns,which is the world split in to 10 sections with a leader in each section,would come from the 4th beast.
These are the 4 ways of man,and each kingdom operated by the 4 ways,but one those modes of operation stood out more than the other 3.
The Bible says that the first 3 kingdoms lost their dominion,and will never rise to power again as a kingdom,but their ways that they operated are still on earth,which is one of the modes of operation in the full.
That is why the beast system has 10 horns,with the ways of a Lion,Bear,and Leopard,to represent the 4 kingdoms of Daniel 7 and their ways,which one of those ways was to the full of the 4 ways,to represent that all 4 kingdoms and that one mode of operation of the 4 modes of operation was to the full,are all in the beast system,showing it is world domination to the full,human religion to the full,cruelty to the full,and human wisdom to the full.
The beast system is the kingdom of man in it's entirety,with all their ways to the full,unlike any kingdom before that,which did not have all those ways to the full,but one mode would stick out more than the rest in how they operated,although they had all 4 ways,but some were a minor belief.
Since Babylon is represented as human religion,it seems like it is the one world religious system,as the Bible says she is a whore,and is the Mother of all the false religions of the world,which during the operation of the one world religious system,it will probably be a system of all religions as one,where you can practice whatever religion you want,for all religions lead to truth,and since all religions lead to the truth,you cannot try to convert someone to your religion,or you will be guilty of a hate crime,punishable in the international court system.
By doing this in the one world religious system,all religions together as one,and all religions lead to truth,it will stop the religious wars,and that is supposed to be the object of the one world government and religious system,to stop the wars,although it does not happen and the one world government cannot handle the problems,as one third of the world is killed by a major war,probably the Muslims calling a holy war,because they will not abide by the one world government and religion,although the Arab governments go along,at least at first,I do not know if the Arab governments rebel later,or if is only the people in those countries.
Since the one world government cannot handle the problems,and stop wars,that is when the world accepts the beast and his system,which they say,who is able to make war with him,them believing he can handle the problems and stop the wars.
When the beast appears they get rid of the whore.
When the beast appears claiming to be God,and will exalt himself above all that is called God or is worshipped,there is no need for the one world religious anymore,for the beast will say he is above anything that they call God or they worship,he is above all their religions,so they get rid of the whore,the one world religious system.

Babylon is the name given to the apostate religious system which originated at Babel, and spread to the world. She is called the harlot because she is a false bride. She is a system which attempts to take the place of the true Bride of God. She is the pagain system which Israel continually got Caught playing with, and led to her demise over and over. With it religious sacramental system, tradition. Spiritual priests and grand temples. and other aspects which are worldwide in scope and has great influence on nations and peoples, including their leaders.
She will be destroyed by the final beast before the beast declares himself to be the messiah by committing the abomination of desolation spoken of by daniel the prophet. And mentioned by Christ.

Not according to Rev 11v8 (with Rev 14v8, 17v18) it's not...which clearly states 'the great city' is Jerusalem (which is also called Babylon, Sodom, Egypt and a harlot to describe its spiritual and moral condition under Antichrist during the Great Tribulation when He sits in the Temple (in Jerusalem) claiming that he is God, Dan 9v27, 11v31, 12v1,7, Matt 24v15,21, 2Thess 2v1-12, Rev 13v14-18)

Babylon is Jerusalem in the end days, she has made people drunk with the wine of the wrath of her fornication (prostitution in the greek). She (Jerusalem) has sold herself out to the false religions of the world: muslim, druze (gnosticism), islam, hinduism, buddhism. A nation sanctified by God and set apart to be His bride, has committed fornication with other gods, becoming the great whore spoken of in Revelation.

Rome is Pagan Babylon that's been revived to this day, with a Christian appearance. Christ did say to watch out for wolves in sheep's clothing, as they're everywhere.
Really, priority is to be right with God. We are saved by grace through faith, not by works, not by anything of ourselves, not by things we do in a church. We have filthy rags. Nothing we can do will impress God. If a person is not born again he will not see the kingdom of Heaven and will therefore be condemned with all the other religions and non believers.
There is only one true church, which Christ established as the New Testament church. He did not add old skins to new wine. He left the Old testament church behind and started a new one. Today we see many religions that are living in the Old Testament, doing their traditions, but not believing in what Christ has done for them. They don't want to be a part of this New Testament Church that Christ established as a New Covenant... the one requiring you to be spiritually born again.
The worst of them all is the whore that revived all the Pagan worship.

True ancient Rome was built on seven hills, but the headquarters of the Roman Catholic Church the Vatican City is built on one hill, Vatican Hill, and Vatican Hill wasn't one of the seven hills of Rome. In fact the modern day Vatican City is actually outside the walls that surrounded Rome in Jesus' and Paul's time (and John's). But even if the Vatican was built on the seven hills of Rome there are still a number of cities famous for being built on seven hills.

and see Ive seen that man before back in the late 60's early 70's in the pamphlets from sda,, Hebert w.
