Grandpa, what I don't understand is how do we explain a non changing God without double standards by what you are implying here. Friend, if you for one second think we are being judged on a different set of standards than people in the Old Testament you are in the wrong Bible school :) .

The Bible is clear, God does not change. We are not second best, the outcast that is receiving grace. Grace was there from day 1 just like the law was there from day 1.

I can't proclaim a god with double standards. My God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow and my problem with the law is because of my flesh not willing to submit to the King of kings. In grace I am saved, just like David, Moses, Daniel, Abraham, Noah, Samuel, Gideon, Peter, Paul, Luke, Matthew etc before me. They were all sinners and needed the grace of God, like we do.

God bless friend
This is also rubbish!

The nature of God does not change but the way He deals with humanity has!

Your belief is very simple - just wrong!

The New Covenant is NOT the Mosaic Covenant in drag.
It is something completely different.
You obviously do not believe in what Jesus Christ accomplished on the cross because you live in the Mosaic covenant.
The Mosaic covenant is all about your merit being judged before God - guess what the result of that is?
There is no grace in that covenant - it was either perfect obedience to the law or condemnation to death.

As for me, I will be judged on the merits of Jesus Christ, not my own.
That is the result of being a New Covenant believer!

You know when I read about that, I wondered if it was Simon Bar Jonah or a different Peter...another mystery that may or may not be revealed come the Kingdom
There is absolutely no doubt - it was Peter the Apostle!

I speak in terms of a Jew in relation to his tribe.

The word Jew became used to describe a religion that never existed in Israel.

There is nothing ignorant about this truth.

Finally, if we are refering to a true Jewd we are referring to what and why Leah named her male child. Se said, I will now praise yAHWEH FOR hE HAS GIVEN ME A SON.

A true Jew is one who praises God.

If this is all too complicated for you, then study more, but this is nowhere near ignorance.
The way you are playing with words here I am sure you could convince someone that black is actually white, or darkness is actually light...

As long as I am sharing the knowledge that is being abuse by others, I am shedding light. As long as someone who does not know the different uses of the word, Jew, is teaching his darkeness, I must continue showing thoe who truly are seeking the differences of the use fo teh word, Jew.

Please get off the "you are ignorant bus," and speak in honesty to those wwho are in Yeshua Mashiach. Oops, I used dthe transliteration of His name from Hebrew......oh how ignorant, I am only permitted by man to call Him Jesus Christ. Ido indee, but only to keep things quiet.......but now that you are here it does not seem to amtter quite so much.

Forgive me all, I do believe Jesus christ is my Salvation, nothing else, but I love His Hebrew name too.

We know false Christs will come and using the name given to our Messiah is a gesture.. I still can not understand why His name was transliterated... and even we who adhere to what we believe our Lords name is all do not spell it the same... but our hearts express and serve and my children call our Saviour Jesus... Yahshua Son of Yahvah... that to me is beautiful but each serve his Master according to their inwards. I'm not trying to be Jewish... I love my Master and will praise Him forever. Judge me as you wish but I have no agenda other that to serve my First Love.

No grace in that covenant? We must be reading different versions of the Bible brother gNp.

David murdered the husband of Bathsheba but found grace in the eyes of God.
Noah and his family found grace in the eyes of God.
Adam found grace in the eyes of God.
Samson found grace in the eyes of God.

Do you want me to continue brother gNp or should I quote some Bible verses for you?

Now Jesus (before His crucifixion) was under the law. He lived Torah, and never ever ever transgressed anything in it, but yet He showed grace to the prostitute...

Wow we serve an amazing God. Maybe you should consider that our problem with the Torah was always our human interpretation and not God's condemnation.

God bless

Firstly, several of your examples are way before the time that the Mosaic covenant was instituted - did you realise that?
Secondly, the Mosaic covenant is most emphatically a conditional covenant - conditional on obedience.
Thirdly, the fact that God acted, and has both the capacity and freedom to act outside that covenant, by grace does not change the terms of the covenant.

There are many covenants in the Word. The two concentrated upon are quite obvious by the names given them in the Bible

As for your examples being before the law was given, they are quite valid.

As is referred to in the Epistles, Abraham was teh first to receive the Godpel of Jesus Christ hundreds of years before teh law was given. There was a covenant made with Moses.

You are a good student of the Word. Those who do not hear Jesus, I am afraid will not hear you. Keep the patience and good works a flowing. God bless you in Jesus Christ, amen.

Jesus kept the Torah to the last dot but God can act outside His own marriage proposal if He so please? To me that makes absolutely no sense friend :)

He will keep us accountable but He can break His own Word...

It must be very difficult to read the Old Testament and miss out on the teaching that God' grace is fresh every morning? Perhaps some are reading without seeing?

The Lord came to redeem those who were under the law.

If you notice, the Lord was pretty harsh to those who thought they were righteous before God by the law.

But He gave Grace to sinners.

I totally agree with this. The bible even says that Torah is not understood by the carnal workers.

Paul tells us, over and over, what our problems are and what our solutions should be. But carnal workers don't really like Paul. They just like their carnal work.

Ephesians 2:8-10
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Have you thought about this at all? Especially in regards to Matthew 11:28 and John 15:5...?

Absolutely He was harsh on them because they condemned people and did exactly the same sins. They never admitted the flaw in them, and also they mixed the Torah and Talmud but for them the Talmud had more authority than the Torah (even till this day).

I will read your references when I am home tonight.

God bless

interesting verse about the kingdom of Judah

2 CHRONICLES 11:16 After them, out of all the tribes of Israel, such as set their hearts to seek the Lord, the God of Israel, came to Jerusalem to sacrifice to the Lord, the God of their fathers.
So they strengthened the kingdom of Judah.

the implication is that the kingdom of Judah had representatives of all the tribes, thus all Israel is preserved.

Hello Dan,

Please refresh my memory, did this occur before or after Israel was divided into two Kingdoms? If before or after as long as both were extant it was encouraged to go to Jerusalem to worship... after all the Temple with Yahweh's Presence was there.

If you don't understand that the Lord Jesus Christ changed things very drastically that is a very big problem for you.

Of course Messiah changed things. He put all things in order that had been disheveled by rabbinical teachings from the already several new sects within theteachings of the Tanakh.

He clarified the understanding of the law, and He fulfilled all of the laws about Him and He fulfilled all the prophets wrote concerning HIm.......that is what He did.

In so doing He invited all who will to learn of Him.....I chose to do this, and all who believe Him that He is the Son of God
do the same.

after division

from the context,

they

went down to the kingdom of Judah and stayed

2 CHRONICLES 10:16 And when all Israel saw that the king would not hearken unto them, the people answered the king, saying, What portion have we in David? and we have none inheritance in the son of Jesse:

every man to your tents, O Israel:

and now, David, see to thine own house. So all Israel went to their tents.

2 CHRONICLES 10:17 But as for the children of Israel that dwelt in the cities of Judah, Rehoboam reigned over them.

2 CHRONICLES 11:14 For the Levites left their suburbs and their possession, and came to Judah and Jerusalem: for Jeroboam and his sons had cast them off from executing the priest's office unto the LORD:
2 CHRONICLES 11:15 And he ordained him priests for the high places, and for the devils, and for the calves which he had made.
2 CHRONICLES 11:16 And after them out of all the tribes of Israel such as set their hearts to seek the LORD God of Israel came to Jerusalem, to sacrifice unto the LORD God of their fathers.
2 CHRONICLES 11:17 So they strengthened the kingdom of Judah, and made Rehoboam the son of Solomon strong, three years:

for three years

they

walked in the way of David and Solomon.

Hi, I am trying to keep God's Holy day in the correct way, I do not go to a church because there are only two churches in the village in which I live and although I have been asked to join one of them, they do not keep God's Holy day on a Saturday.

I wondered if any one else have the same problem, and if so what you do.
I have researched the "Sabbath" in the Hebrew language. What I found surprised me. It wasn't even close to the Hebrew spelling of "week" or "seventh." Nevertheless it is very close in the spelling of "rest."

שַׁבָּתוֹן shabbâthôwn, shab-baw-thone'; from H7676; a sabbatism or special holiday:—rest, sabbath.
שַׁבָּת shabbâth, shab-bawth'; intensive from H7673; intermission, i.e (specifically) the Sabbath:—(+ every) sabbath.

Hebrews 4:10-11
[SUP]10 [/SUP]For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

You are trying very hard to put words in my mouth!
Nobody said anything about God breaking His word or His covenants.
