I believe if God Himself came here and Commanded you to Rest you would say "Not So, Lord".

Then you would twist scripture to show why God Himself was incorrect in commanding you to Rest.

If you had any idea of what you are arguing against I am sure you would stop.

Galatians 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

There is no new vail. Its the same old vail.

The old rejection of Grace is the same as this "new" rejection of Grace. There is nothing new under the sun.

GOD gave the Sabbath day of Rest Commandment and the Messiah affirmed.

Now you say that I would not Rest?

And prove God was wrong by twisting scripture to let me work and not rest?

You argue against the Testimony of the Messiah yet we rest by learning of Him... these verses do not void the Keeping of the Commandments... they allow for it to be so.

Matthew 11

25At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes. 26Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight. 27All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
28Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Grandpa,

Are you telling all that the harvest is not ripe? Are you saying we should not pray for more laborers for teh harves?

Are you saying the harvest has already arrived and passed?

Are you saying our Father is not yet working ?

AS JesusChrist said, "My Father is working and so must I." We do what we know Jesus would have us do.

It is not of the Holy Spirit to teach against laboring for the harvest of God, that is leaving the weat in the fiels to burn with the tares.

It is written, from Paul I believe, we must labour to enter ino that resst.

Are you changing the truth of the Word simply to fit an ego-centered argument?

I will not rest until our Lor commands me to do so. He has not yet done so.

The slave mentality only has one chance of changing.

I know just how stubborn the stiff-necked are.

You can read all about them in the bible.

Matthew 23:37-39
37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.
39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

You are asked honest questions. You do not address them, let alone respond, and you come back with a cut and paste from Matthew without understanding what you are pasting....

You should not bother to post to me if you are not responding to what I have posted. If yo have your own message...start a thread.

I believe it would be the law as Jesus Christ teaches it...... The Holy Spirit witnesses to it in our hearts and minds while our faith establishes the law according to The Word, Jesus Christ.
There is a teaching directly from Jesus Christ, "Mat 16:6 Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.s."

Jesus Christ is the unleavened One..The Bread from Heaven. It is an honor to learn of Him, and the greatest honor is being invited by Himpersonally to learn of Him, amen.
Don't forget the level of Harod as well, not to mention the different flavors today.

I did post that to you.

You don't understand those scriptures, either?

If scripture is pointless to you then what I say won't matter either.

It is better to convey a few words with understanding in the Holy Spirit than to cut and paste the entire Bible without a notion as to what you are saying.

I love this teaching:

Matthew 20

For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard. 2And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard. 3And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace, 4And said unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way. 5Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise. 6And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle? 7They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, thatshall ye receive.
8So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first. 9And when they came that were hiredabout the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny. 10But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every man a penny. 11And when they had received it, they murmured against the goodman of the house, 12Saying, These last have wrought butone hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day. 13But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny? 14Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee. 15Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good? 16So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.

Quite fitting.... and so marvellous.

Yes, it is quite fitting, amen. May all be blessed who have worked, do work, and will in the field, amen.

You were genuinely missed. Good to see you back and you have the Peace of Yeshua tonight and tomorrow.... or tomorrow on the lunar. That peace is totally covered with the word, shalom...

I will not rest until our Lor commands me to do so. He has not yet done so.
If you are not Resting in Christ you will be un-fruitful in anything you try to do by your carnal understanding.

Its sad that you people don't realize that Resting in Christ IS a command. I don't remember the Lord saying "If you want" afterwards, or "if it seems ok to you" or "IF you need a little EXTRA wisdom".

Galatians 3:10-12
10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.

You can't be resting in Christ and placing yourself under the curse simultaneously. You get one or the other. You can't be justified and unjustified at the same time.

Your response is weak. First of all, obedience is not workis it is our due.

Have you not read in the Epistles how we are to "labour" to enter into the rest?

The only time Jesus mentions giving us rest is in referenxce to His teaching, nothing less and nothig more.

TEll if the harvest is in need of laborers,? You are not responding to the questions, only putting forth your interpretations which are not according to all of the Word but a line here and aline there.

The Bible describes Jaumej as a saint... yet you see it not because someone deceived you with verses that were in support of the New Covenant if they were used in support of the Testimony of the Messiah's Teachings. Some one taught you to hold fast to the Writings of Paul in place of the Testament of the Messiah.. for If you had built yourself up on good foundation you would know Heavenly Father and know that His Son teaches us to keep even the least Commandment...

Jaumej is justified by the Messiah and to think he is not because he is adhering to His Lord and Saviour is backwards...
